Summary: ya mooks
Review: all the morons saying this game is unstable are clearly ignorant. Two things you need to keep updated ya bunch of idiots. 1) The game like all other games has bugs, so you need to update it with the autopatcher it comes with. Simple huh? End of problem. 2) Those saying their computers are fast, as in 2ghz and all that clearly don't realize that the actual graphics processing takes place in the video card which means you need to UPGRADE your pos video card in order to play this game.
Other than a bunch of idiots with no experience in gaming complaining about how difficult it is to control wi/ so many keys, this game is awesome. How else are you to manage so many vast commands and controls besides the way it is already implemented in the game?
Anyway, the game is breathtakingly amazing, the AI could be better, storyline is very unique, sound and graphics are great. Stop complaining about your own inadequacies and get with the program - the game is legendary, buy it!!!

I connected to a server. In the first map the game was a little buggy, in the next map the game was so buggy and laggy I couldnt even move!So heres a quick list of the game: PROS:

Review: I am constantly trying to find the next best war game. H&D2 is the best single player war game Ive played. Packed with hours of gameplay. well thought out and attention to detail makes it an even better game. things like taking a hostage and stealing their uniform. scavaging corpes for ammo and weapons. the ability to give orders to the other soldiers, gives an actual feeling of military rank, something all other games have not thought to tackle. It takes a while to complete a mission which is a good thing. its not fun when you run right through it and jump to the next one. lots more i could mention. cons: if you buy this game do not neglect to download any available patches. there are quite a few bugs, but the patches will fix these and the game will run fine. also the training mission at the start of the game is terrible. most people wont get through it before they uninstall and find another game. the actual gameplay however is totally different....trust me. although it is a good concept and a nice touch to the game, not a single game ive played has had a good basic training mission. the idea is to teach you how to play the game before you actually start playing missions, but its just to arcade like to feel realistic. if your shooting for realism then why bother doing it "half-job". they should have your soldier get out of bed at 4:00 am and hussle to fall in rank. make it tough to complete the training and have you do pushups when you screw up. the obstacle course is totally weak. why not have your men go out on a night excursion and engage targets to simulate what combat will be like when you start doing actual missions. just my thoughts.

Summary: Very much worth playing for action fans
Review: I loved H&D2, graphics are outstanding the levels are realistic and envolving gameplay is nice, there is a learning curve though. If you are looking for an alternative to Call of Duty or Medal of Honor and want a new challenge pick this game up!!!!

Review: I mean if you ask me my life i'll give it away, but I want this game ...... I just ... want it. All those who played H&D(original) and H&D(FFF) will agree. This one's even more real guys!, just read the tales floating around on the web and you'll start feeling the ugre ; oh ...; I just can't wait !!!!

Review: I normally (about 80% of the time) buy a game based on its reviews. Not H&D2. I saw the packaging and thought "wow". If they've put this much into the packaging, surely the game can't be too bad? Plus there was the reputation of the first H&D. I buy games often, maybe one a week, and I wasn't as excited about getting home and installing, as with No One Lives Forever 2, for instance. Besides, I just bought Secret Weapons a few days ago. Anyway, smooth install, excellent manual, everything looked okay. Nice intro. The automatically selected preferences turned out to be just right. The game started to grab me. That was Friday afternoon. It is Monday morning now, and I am writing this to rest my eyes. It is THE BEST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED. Ghost Recon was good, so was No Lives Forever and Op Flashpoint. Even Medal of Honour and Battlefield '42 deserves a mention. But they don't come close to Hidden & Dangerous 2! Everything in this game reeks of quality, refinement and professionalism. It is well balanced - difficult enough to be challenging, and to give one a sense of achievement upon reaching an objective, but not frustrating. The graphics are brilliant and the game runs smoothly at the highest resolutions. The maps are great. Even the music is good - this is THE FIRST game ever in which I've kept the music "on". Even though the mission objectives are rigid, play is quite open ended. There are many driveable vehicles. The game drips with atmosphere and sucks one in. The learning curve is not steep - the Campaign starts off with a good tutorial level which compliments the neat manual nicely. The bottom line is that this is one of the most enjoyable games I have played in a long time. By now it has probably become pretty obvious to you that I am totally "chuffed" with this game, and with myself for having made such a wise purchase. This is what gaming is all about. At 300 South African Rands, this game is worth every cent. My recommendation? GET IT!

Summary: Great Game, but very frustrating
Review: I should announce before we start, that this is review of the single player (non-multiplayer) perspective part of Hidden & Dangerous 2. I recieved this game for Christmas and was excited about it.
All the cool commercials had me intrigued. I loved the concept, with the whole historical British SAS perspective of the war. The British Empire stretching across the globe, and the exotic locations and potentials seemed exciting! My first impressions of the game were great.
The opening scenes were dramatic (but no more than others I've seen, but still impressive).
As cool as the little movies are between each mission, they are not needed for gameplay and slows down the overall game (therefore they should drop them). On the technical side;
I have a 2.0Ghz computer, and on the box is states "2.0Ghz" or more. However, it runs VERY SLOW!!!! I guess this game is going to force me to buy a new comp. or upgrade my existing comp. just to play it!!!!! Once I was deep into the N. Africian campaign (and MANY missions into the single player game) and not only did the game automatically turn off my computer (which would happen every 4 hours of game play), but it erased all my saved games.
After getting over my furious-like-rage (and all the time lost), I had to regretably start over. None of the first person games I've ever played, has this many technical problems! Medal of Honor is the best 1st person WWII game in my oppinion.
Ease of use, non-memory-hog and overall simplicity, make MOH a real blast! (I've played it through, front-to-back many many times.) That is why I will be comparing Medal of Honor and Hidden & Dangerous 2. H&D2's main menu and interface is terrible!! In MOH you go to "saved games" and view all the files you saved (sometimes 20 per mission, depending on how careful you are). In H&D2 you cannot do this, and it only states "Resume" (...the last time you saved your game.... in other words).
This needs MAJOR improvement. Some have stated in the reviews, that "H&D2 sucks because picking up items and handling anything, requires many sub-menus to toggle through", which the previous reviewers hate. I totally agree, toggling through lots of inventory menus and such, is very difficult and bad design (all while your hearing bullets whistling by your ear!!)! There are too many commands also. This makes the game too complicated as well. Trying to find the right command requires memorization. I even typed up a paper with all the commands to help me. This game needs serious simplification! With all this said, I genuinely like the game. I love the British perspective too. The sound effects are sharp and very realistic (you can actually hear the empty shell casings hitting the ground after you've fired your weapon). The backgrounds are beautiful too. In many missions the evening skys are breathtaking and very realistic!!. In one mission, I travelled to a N. Africian oasis, and the buildings had great textures on the walls.Some of the buildings in the N. Africian campaign have mosiacs on the walls! I love choosing your weapon and equipment before the missions. I love having to think about the possibility you could run out of ammunition during a mission (something that would never happen in MOH). Overall, I really like this game. It's too bad I have to upgrade my computer just to play this game more fluid (and smoothly).
It's also too bad that H&D2 is so complex, making gameplay suffer. I also believe that like a good portion of the computer gaming world, I do not play multiplayer "online" games (and don't have the required DSL or Cable internet lines to support it). Therefore a high percentage of gamers lose out from the multiplayer focus of the game makers (of H&D2). (Which is another reason why this game falls way short.) I am hoping I'll be able to finish the game before I lose my passion for it (due to all it's short-comings).

Summary: A major disapointment!!!!
Review: I was a huge fan of the Original H&D, my friends and I built a four system network to play the game as a team. Sadly in Hidden and Dangerous 2 there is no such feature. The Campaign mode of the the game is not available on a network for team play. I appears that the designers are trying to create a Medal of Honor RIP OFF instead of a sequal to the great origanal game. Do not buy H&D2, I surely regret that I bought four copies.
