Summary: This Game Is A Very Big Improvement To The First One.
Review: This game has all the works on it. It has 3 new weapons. New Vehicles including ground vehicles. And it has lots of ultimate graphics action. But there is only one thing for 3dfx users to watch for.If your wondering Voodoo has just been bought out by a company called n-video inc. And the reason i say this is because of complaints of 3dfx not working and causing major bugs making the game very difficult to use. Your warranties are useless now. But that doesent mean you cant fight for a exchange. Just make sure you have a reciept avalible so you can exchange the card for a different one,(I reccomend Hercules by Gullimont). So please dont buy the 3dfx products because of this bought out buisness. I reccoment the Hercules because of its major compatibility and way better Graphics than a 64 meg card can do. Also you need to have a 600mhz or higher computor with atleast at the minimum 124 megs of sd ram.(RD is WAY BETTER BUT WAY TO EXPENSIVE!) I give this 4 stars because its not perfect, but very entertaining.

Summary: Worthless
Review: Tribes2 is one of the worst games ever, in my mind. First, anyting with teamwork dosn't exist; no one ever comes to your aid or helps you in any way, and everyone fends for themselves. It is impossible to ever achive anything because the maps a big, too big. It took me 30 minutes just to get from the inside of my base complex and find a way out.Team Killers are you first enemy and then the other team. This game is not worth a dime; get Half-life or Unreal Toranment instead!

Summary: This Game is EXCELLENT! But their are some problems.
Review: Ok let me start out by saying if u have a Voodoo 5 which most people do it wont work very well but the reason for that is because u only have 64 and 32 mb of sd ram. YOU HAVE 2 HAVE RAM TO USE VOODOO ON THIS GAME ATLEAST 128 mb of sd ram. If u have 128 mb of sd ram then this game should run fine with minor problems. RAM Will not help if u dont have a graphics card. You need a graphics card atleast 32mb on it. RAM and The Motherboard multiply the number of pixels and triangles per sec to make the graphics even more supreme. Now dont buy a graphics card without ram because of lack of speed and ability. Also (Dont buy any Graphics Cards Called Hercules because it only works with about 5 out of 10 games.)

Now let me tell you what i thought of the game. It has excellent graphics and speed is no problem. (Now you need to have atleast a DSL or Cable Modem to run this game with no bugs or problems.) But anyway the game is very fun and addictive. Its an improvement to Tribes 1 and I hope they can fix the bugs so people wont complain. (You also need a fast machine for this game at least a 600mhz with all the graphics and ram i talked about above.) Now the game has lots of new weps and i love the ground ships and air ships that are new and improved. The Graphics Are such an improvement and almost look real. This game is a big buyer just kinda is a little itchy in some areas. I have no problems downloading the patches and updates to the game because of ADSL. So be sure before you buy you make sure u have what i said above on the page so you wont have any problems. Hope you enjoy this game like i am. Kevin

Summary: A great game, no matter what other people say
Review: This game is one of the best PC games i have ever played. Since many people complain about the game running poorly on older systems, you may be hesitant to buy it. Don't listen to them. I have a P3 500 with 256 MB of RAM and a Voodoo 3 3000, and the game runs great. The new patches have definitly improved performance on older systems like mine. And yes, most of my graphics settings are medium/high, so i'm not trying to trick you by saying the game runs great on low settings. Many people have complained that the game is full of bugs, but I've encountered hardly any bugs at all.You just need to let the sierra updater run by itself to install patches, and the game will run fine. P.S., the siege missions are by far the coolest.

Summary: If you've got the PC, this game is well worth the price
Review: First, don't even think about buying this game unless you've got a decent video card and a fast internet connection: it won't be worth your money otherwise. You'll get odd error messages if your video card isn't up to parr (I think someone else mentioned that here as well) and unless you want to turn onto everyone's favorite Lag Frag, you'll need something a bit more robust than the standard 56K modem. You'll need to download several patches to get the thing to work but once you get past this minor irritation and if you've got the hardware, TribesII has definitely got the action for you! With the standard variation of 'First-Person-Shooter' game types (including Capture the Flag, Siege (basically you either defend a base or attack it and then switch sides halfway through), etc.), they've added an assortment of ground and air vehicles which you'll need to master in order to win. You add to that the different weapons and armor types that each person can carry and you've got one highly customizable soldier! Now get about 32 of these folks (divided into roughly equal teams) in one game, some of them racing around in vehicles (which, FYI, include tanks, bombers, a scout bike and a fighter), some of them deploying mines and defense turrents, others blowing up enemy installations, and still others roaming around sniping the opposing team with plasma mortars and you've got one heck of a fun time! This barely controlled chaos is great. If you're a fan of FPS's like Half-Life, Doom and the almost legendary Diakatana (just kidding on that one--insider gamers joke for ya ;), you'll definitely like this game.

Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS GAME
Review: Syria and dynamix have made an absolute hash of this game. I don't think they did any beta testing at all. Its just bug after bug after bug, theirs no end to it. I have re-installed this game so many times, reinstalled windows, got every utility that is meant to fix the dam thing, but still I prefer to play tribes 1. After fixing MANY bugs my current bug is that in the game if I press anything on the keyboard the game crashes. Its absurd. The frame rate is very low even though I think I have a fairly good computer. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME until Syria / dynamix have released enough patches to get the game to work. They have been working on this game for THREE YEARS what have they been doing? Why the hell is it so [bad] when other games they make like half-life and stuff is so good? I cant tell you enough DO NOT BUY THIS GAME it's a waist of money, get tribes 1, it so much better!!

Summary: Customer service? What customer service?
Review: I'll begin by saying that this game is fun, exciting, and all that the hype says it is. However, there are some very critical issues that are present that have totally ruined this game, and made it nearly impossible to enjoy.

First, the single player/LAN version of the game, which includes all training missions, does not work on the vast majority of CD-ROMS. If you own an older CD-ROM, or just a cheap one like I do, don't be surprised if the game crashes as it is loading. This is due to a CD write-protection that conflicts with the CD-ROM and causes the system to treat the disc as though it is pirated, even if it is the original.

Second, since the game was rushed and published before all the bugs were worked out, you MUST download a patch or multiple patches before being able to play the game. This can take anywhere from 15 minutes to one hour, depending on your connection. On average, I have to download three patches just to be able to play on the Tribes 2 servers.

Third, and most recently, the Tribes 2 servers have been having errors, and have been popping up error messages while they search for the user's version of the game, and stating that no patches are available thus making it impossible to play the game, even online.

Another problem that I have been having is that you must use your CD key on the jewel case in order to create on online account, and only one account per CD key is available. This makes it very difficult to log back onto the server if, for some reason, the game crashes while you're already logged on, and the game refuses to let you in with your original account because the server still has your name logged on. You cannot simply create a new account and use a new name to continue playing.

Don't expect any help from customer support, either. On Sierra's site, the message boards are full of complaints regarding all kinds of system conflicts and problems with the program. None of the patches provided by the development team address the most important conflicts with the game, and instead seem only to complicate matters by requiring the user to download the most current patch in order to just play the game.

Shame on Sierra and shame on Dynamix. I cannot recommend this game to anyone. This type of treatment by a game developer makes me leery of even purchasing another product by them, and I can guarantee that I am not the only one that feels this way.

Summary: To many bugs
Review: My friends and I all bought this game because we were HUGE fans of Tribes 1. We heard the graphics in this were great, and there were more weapons and stuff. Only 1 out of 4 of us could get the game working. There was error, after error, after error. Once we got one bug fixed, another came up. Maybe they should of TESTED the game before they released it...

Summary: Good Game Once You Dumb It Down
Review: (this is for people a little below requirments)I have a 333 Mhz 128 MB Ram , Cable Connection, Matrox Millenium Vid Card and the game was choppy at first. Once you dumb down the graphics the gmae works perfectly. You really don't need interior graphics to much so set it a medium and it will be fine same with the body graphics...you can't see them up close anywayz. But the game is extremly fun and the vechiles are great! If you have any problems it'll etheir be with the choppiness (only at high graphics) or a "Internal Erorr" that can be easily fixed by getting the most recent patch. Get this game!

Summary: WOW!
Review: I am very impressed. I got hooked on the first Tribes late in it's life (3 months before 2) and I am loving every minute. All the problems I see on all of the message boards just boggle the mind. I see none of it. I did get the acclaimed UE error, but guess what...I bought a decent video card (Voodoo 5 5500 AGP) and it all went away. Full detail and I still pull 20-50 fps. Truely a great game and only getting better. I have an Athlon 750, 512MB RAM, Voodoo 5 64MB AGP, 8gig HD. Beautiful.
