Summary: The ONLY game I'll PLAY
Review: I've been a gamer since Doom and Mechwarrior (1). However those 'types' of games pale in comparison to TRIBES 2. The game places emphasis on TEAM WORK. A player can't win a round of Capture the Flag, Siege, Capture and Hold without the cooperation of fellow team members. The vehicles, items and games objects are top of the line - self explainatory and down right simple. Game play is great even when playing solo (but I recomment going online and duking it out with other Tribes Junkies). To be honest with you, this game is not a game but a community by itself

Summary: Practice makes perfect.
Review: As a long time player of Tribes 2, I would like to put in a few modern updates for this wonderful game.There has yet to be a game which rivals the sheer scale of this game, all with impressive graphics and, yes, "seamless joining of indoor settings with outdoor settings." It becomes second nature to go into a building to load out your persona with weapons and armor, and you simply do not notice the difference. No frame rate jumps, no sharp changes in the look of the game, nothing. With distance between bases ranging from a mere half kilometer to over several kilometers, the game allows for incredible expanses and different styles of gameplay. With three armor types, ten weapons (and only 3-5 weapon slots depending on your armor), numerous backpacks, grenades, etc. the role you decide to play in the game is completely up to you. From the rocket fast capper who flashes in and out of a base at over 120kph (about 60 mph for us americans) to the heavy tank who deploys automated defenses and then picks off players with the mortar, everything is up to you. Snipers, infiltrators, farmers, defenders, cappers, decoys, bombadeers, pilots, tailgunners, midfield defenders... the choices are nearly endless. As you practice, you will find yourself making your way through the ranks, becoming one of the elite. Which brings me to my biggest point. Practice really does make perfect with this game. Cheaters are few and far between, as there are no "aimbot" scripts possible with the Tribes 2 game engine. True skill shines through here, with very few one hit kills available to any player. Cheaters have ruined many other games, using scripts and other devices to make the game totally unenjoyable to the average player. This is not so with Tribes 2. The person who always seems to make the incredible shots is the same person who spends his days and nights practicing these shots. This means anyone can do it. Finally, I would like to tip my hat to the Tribes 2 community. Tribes 2 is hugely customizable, allowing for thousands of custom maps, and support scripts (or totally different games based off of Tribes 2) available. Some of these make the game incredibly fun, and with a new update to the game coming, you can easily expect this game to continue with it's popularity for years to come. Pick up this game. You will not be disappointed, and remember: Practice does make perfect.

Summary: Tribes 2 is Awesome Multiplayer
Review: Games like Day of Defeat have been pushing the team multiplayer envelope, but Tribes 2 truly shines as one of the best in the field. The developers have worked hard to make a gorgeous environment that truly supports great team players and tacticians. First, gameplay in general is just beautiful. Whether you're playing single or multiplayer, you can really appreciate the crisp graphics, the ability to roam in and out of buildings. The weapon selection and diversity is great. All those addicted to HALO know how much fun vehicles are. Tribes 2 gives you a few to choose from - a Scout ATV, a tank with a spot for a gunner, and even an APC that holds 6! Multiplayer is where the game really shines though. The game is simply wonderful for teams to work together to achieve an objective. There are games running all the time on the net, and anybody that has trained up on their home system will have no trouble slipping into one of the on line games and getting into the swing of things. I've had people of all ages and backgrounds playing on my computer, and once they've gotten themselves familiar with the controls in the training, they've gone on line and had a blast! I've read some reviews that say the game is too hard in multiplayer mode. I really haven't found that at all. True, you shouldn't just leap into multiplayer without first learning how the game works. That's true for any game you buy, though. If you go through the training and single player missions, though, it's very easy to learn the ropes and to graduate into team play rather quickly. Definitely recommended for any team player!

Review: When I first got this, it wounldnt run... after it was patched (and sadly Dynamix passed on), the mods came down like a avalanche and the game became infinetly replayable:
Air Dogfighting, Rabbit, Capture the Flag, Deathmatch, And zillions more and counting!!!

Summary: Awesome Game!...
Review: This game rocks and thats the bottom line. The graphics are awesome! Gameplay is excellent-(Could use a little more organized team play though)You get to pilot all kinds of vehicles and stuff. I don't know what the hell these people are saying about the physics being messed up--They just have no skill what so ever!!

Review: You simply cannot find anything else out there that matches the scope and the breadth of this game. There are so many options for outfitting yourself, so many roles, so many vehicles, that you could play hundreds of times and act in a completely separate role each time... and each role takes time to learn well.

Review: Ok this is it the COOLEST GAME EVER.
I got this game a month ago (that was March 1st), and I love it.
Why did it take ms so long to write a review?? I have been playing it nonstop, ...well not quite, but practically...anyway,the only downside is you do need a really good system ( but a 300k modem is NOT necessary(I use a 56k modem and I only experience lag occasionally)) like a pentium 3 it is better if you have 4(at least a 16mb graphics card but a 32mb is sooo much better).
The pros?? Lots of game types
1. Capture and hold
2. Capture the flag
3. Rabbit
4. Deathmatch
5. Hunters
6. Team hunters
7. Bounty (I think there are others but I can't remember)
This is a online game so if you are gonna buy for the single- player mod, forget it!!

Review: Ok here is the break i bought tribes to...back when it was realy worth that much. THIS GAME KILLS.(literaly). graphcis are awsome. game play EXELENT. and different mods and modes of play which'll keep you busy for... forever i guess!
But be warned, This game has awsome graphics and NEEDS a powerfull computer. and on the box it says it supports vodoo cards. IT DOES NOT. you need to have a different 3d accerator card than vodoo....
DONT LOSE THIS OPPERTUNITY. TRIBES 2 IS VERY FUN COOL AND BeaTIFUL TO LOOK AT. i highly recomend it. ok here is a lil more info. no blood is in it. has a swearing filter to block out all the mean and nasty people you meet. if your new. prepare to die. alot! these tribes players have been playing 12 hours a day for about 2 years now. Dont get discoraged though. you'll get the hang of it.

Review: I have played tribes 2 and tribes 1 for over 2 years. It is the only game i have installed in my computer. Yes, I do own other games, but tribes is the best series i have ever played. The single campaign..., but the reason it ... is because the only reason they have it is to teach you controls before going online. Once online, you will enter an interactive fighting expeirence with clans, scrimmages, ladders, forums, email, etc. One of the reasons tribes 2 is so great is it keeps on changing because of new mods. Only problem, is that you cant stop playing. Though, to much upset of people who own t2, it is now falling apart because it is very old now, and the companies that host servers are not doing well.

Review: As a major fan of the original Tribes, I was really excited to pick up Tribes 2. What could be better than an update of one of my favorite games, with better graphics and more options. That said, I had a very difficult time getting into it. Although the graphics were definitely better, and the levels much more interesting, I found the new interface much less intuitive than the original. In addition, it crashed fairly regularly, and ran pretty slow at times on my machine (Athlon 700 and GeForce 256). After a couple dozen online games, I still couldn't get into it, so I put it away for a while. Recently, I began a game project using the Torque engine (which stems from the Tribes 2 code base), so I decided to start playing it again. I had picked up a GeForce 2, and had a faster Internet connection. It looks like the game is now much more stable (I've been playing it almost every night for a couple of weeks without a single crash), and it runs at acceptable speeds. Now that most of the distractions are gone, I've finally been able to get into it, and I have to say that it's now a worthy successor. Tribes 2 is possibly the best team-based shooter currently available. If you've got a decent system, and like other team-based shooters, you should definitely check it out, especially at its current price.
