Rating: Summary: A really cool War Game! Review: I loved this game, but, it had some minor flawes. First, it didn't react as I did... I mean, I'd fire a Thompson Sub-Machine gun, which fires .45 caliber bullets at a Nazi and he'd just stand there... It should've blown him to bits... Believe me, being a combat Vet, a Thompson is a very lethal weapon. Still, it was a great game for adventure and shooters... I'll probably go back and play it again and again... that's a sign of a good game...
Rating: Summary: the game that keeps giving! Review: Play the best one player shooter going, then get into virtual reality with the multi-player game!!! Downloading new maps is easy and it keeps this game fresh! The best multi-player game going! Come-on and join the fun!
Rating: Summary: Pretty Good, BUT THE PRICE??!! Review: RTCW is not another "Max Payne"..This is the most EXPENSIVE first person shooter that has come out since...Medal of Honor..Sheesh! The game has a decent amount of levels, the cut scenes are pretty good but is that really worth all that $$$$. The actual gameplay is nothing new. I would give this game a higher rating but Serious Sam has graphics that are just as good, gameplay that is similar and is MUCH cheaper. But you ask "Well, you must have paid $$$ for it like everyone else". NOPE, I bought a used copy (its a CD, remember?) for 1/5 the price, that is what you should pay for this game.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful gaming experience Review: The thing that sets "Return To Castle Wolfenstein" apart from so many other games on the market is its atmosphere. Few other games bring you into the screen like this one. A few that I can remember are "Half-Life", "Thief 2", "MaxPayne", "Alien vs Predator 2" and "System Shock 2". The graphics are as advanced and beautiful as any other product currently on the market. You better have a fast processor, 256 megs of RAM and a GeForce level graphics card though. If you do, you will be treated to an unmatched visual experience. Aside from the visuals, Return to Castle Wolfenstein is fun to play. With tough enemies and engulfing settings, I would swear that I was in 1940's Germany. My only complaint is that it was to short. With the available multiplayer mode, your money still goes a long way. This game does not compete with Unreal tournament or Quake 3 in multiplayer. But, if you're looking for an awesome single player experience, look no further.
Rating: Summary: It is god Review: when u play this think of it as a 007 movie during wwII best game ever
Rating: Summary: This game is certainly more advanced and scary! Review: Return to castle wofenstien single players takes you through scary and dangerous quake 3 arena powered graphics engine, along with high quality audio, and entertaining music soundtracks! You bust out of jail, you kill Nazis, you kill a doctor, you fight huge robot machines, and end up in deep slaughter scary zombie dungeons, and must collect imperative information along the way and survive, and kill things(did I just say that?)Besides the point, the good thing is this is powered by the quake 3 arena engine, so NO SOFTWARE RENDERING SUPPORT, YEEEEEEAAAAHHHHHHH! I have to be frank, I hate it! It decreases the fun of the game, the graphics, look chunky and are not the visual effect type support that opengl/direct3d would offer! But I like opengl the best!Besides the point, if you enjoyed the last one(Which I did) YOUll go crazy on this one!
Rating: Summary: Lacks "oomph!" Review: Return to Castle Wolfenstein (RTCW) was something I'd been looking forward to for a long time. I ran out and bought a copy the first day of release. If I'd known what a vanilla gameplay experience I was in for, I would've waited for the price to go down! (I paid [money] for the tin edition). The graphics, sound and music are all first rate. However, I'm past the point of "Find key, shoot bad guy, go to next level", I expect a little more from my games nowadays and RTCW did not deliver with its single player experience.Multiplayer, however, is a different story altogether. If you have a fat pipe connecting you to the internet (or go to LAN parties a lot) - RTCW is definitly worth a look.
Rating: Summary: You get your money's worth Review: It may not be what some expect, as far as an accurate simulator of WW II combat but the game still is lots of fun. Great atmosphere and the multiplayer game is most entertaining. I've spent way too many nights staying up way too late trying one more time to come out on-top. The weapons are great and the different roles, medic, engineer, etc provide different chanllenges.
Rating: Summary: It was good......... Review: I must say this was a really good game: interesting plot, medium playing time, and so on and so forth. But seriously it coped out at the end. The boss was WAY too easy, I mean come on!
Rating: Summary: Fantastic gaming experience....... Review: Forget any critical reviewers who may have given this game anything less that 5 stars..... RTCW provides unparalleled gaming experience. Fantastic graphics and sound, superb locales and missions, and tough AI makes for an unforgettable experience. Anyone who even remotely enjoys FPS - don't waste your time reading this - go out and buy this game and start playing. For hard core FPS fans - this game is paradise. Please also check out the other equally fantastic game released at about the same time - "Medal of Honor Allied Assault". Phenomenal .......!!
