Rating: Summary: Great game, great graphics....I love it! Review: I really like this game. I've been a fan of "wolfestein" for a long time, since that 2d wolfestein came out a few years ago. This one has a bunch of different types of guns, sniper rifles, knife, pistol, rocket launcher....etc. The graphics and the music are great. I have a Pentium III 1GHZ with 512 RAM and the game runs VERY smoothly. The one thing I don't really like that much are the zombies and freaky things that appear, but besides that it's really good. This one is good. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes WWII games, and first-person shooting games. You'll be hooked on it for hours :)
Rating: Summary: A extordinary multiplayer game with a fine single-player Review: You have probably heard this before, but the multiplayer part of this game ROCKS. It focuses on team-based action, with several character class that are used to support one-another. The multiplayer will make this game live on in imfamy and is alone enough to purchase it. The single player, however, falls short of a few elements that while don't bring it down entirely, they prevent it from being excellent. One thing is for sure: this game looks wonderful. Every detail is wonderfully captured with the quake 3 engine, and the flame effects are some of the best you have ever seen on your 16 inch monitor. It is ashame the developers didn't make the single-player game as wonderful as the graphics The most serious thing I think is the fact that the main character, B.J., doesn't say a frickin word in the whole thing. I didn't mind Gordon not saying a word, nor Lt. Powell, but that to let to immerse yourself in the game. B.J. has an attitude, but you rarely see it. It also seems that the developers did things to avoid him talking. Like instead of Rosevelt briefing him, he would tell some guy named Jack what he told B.J. to do. Why doesn't Jack do the frickin missions instead. The story is fine, but some of the cutscenes may make you fall asleep. This is cause of the fact that B.J. isn't in ANY of the briefings. They are just president Rosevelt talking to jack and 2 other guys, who wants to see that. This game is sopposed to borrow elements from "No One Lives Forever", but I could watch a 6 minute cutscene from that game and listen to every bit of it. In this game a 1 minute cutscene seems to long. Everything else about the single player game is good (the mission design is exceptional) It still can only be considered a bonus for this game.
Rating: Summary: Take it from me -- Review: This game absolutely rules the team-based combat FPS scene. As the war of Axis vs. Allies rages on, one must enlist into four distinct classes, each not being overpowerful and dependant upon the next. Weapons are finely-crafted to match their real-world counterparts, and the superb graphics are fueled by the powerful Quake III engine. Not only that, but the Single-player is heaps of fun as well, regardless of what those other fools might tell you. Ambient and gunshot sounds are surprisingly realistic, making it seem as it you were an actual soldier during WWII. Bottom line: This is Wolfenstein, spawn of all grandeur FPS's, for a new era of gamers.
Rating: Summary: Half-Life was good, but this is better. Review: Although Half-Life was a brilliant game. It had a very good storyline and it's multiply, especially team-fortress was the best online (besides Tribes, which i also recommend). What makes Wolfenstein better? The story line is a tad lame, but it sticks to its original, Spears of Destiny in regards to character background. And the level design and AI make it standout. The best feature however is the multiplayer. I recommend playing the beach level to anyone who wants to relive the strike on normandy, I have played this level so many times that i couldnt even give an estimated value, but it'd be months. So overall the best feature is the multiplayer, which is fast paced, and team oriented. Buy it... BUY IT NOW!
Rating: Summary: Best Multiplayer shooter.. Review: Well so what took me so long to write this.. well I've just been to busy playing this game to write a review on it. One year later I'm still playing the heck out of this game. The whole RtCW team got it right with this. This has to be the best multiplayer shooter out there... None of this free for all deathmatch stuff, oh but there's plenty of killing. It's all team based... You and your team, either Axis or Allies, has several objectives that you must complete. Having several different classes lets individuals choose their favorite class and become good at it. My best class is a medic. One year later I'm still not bored with it. I'm just holding my time waiting for the next installment, Enemy Territory.
Rating: Summary: One of the best Review: Whan I first recieved Return to castle wolfenstein, I had already heard about it from friends, and needless to say was excited. And the game delivered, extraordinarily so. The single player campaign is great, with smooth graphics, great gameplay, and incredible AI. My only complaint was that the multiplayer was a bit dry, but hey, cant complain too much. Definitly worth your money and the 5 stars.
Rating: Summary: Almost Perfect Review: First off you should know that this game is worth purchasing for the multiplayer alone. THE MULTIPLAYER MODE IS PERFECT. Counter-Strike, eat your heart out. Now what keeps the whole game from being perfect is the single player. IT ISN'T BAD. But were not talking about Half-Life single player here. There are four things in my opinion that are wrong with the single player. #1 The biggest one is the poor AI in this game. The AI is no better then most of the BOT programs that you can download for Counter-Strike off the internet. #2 The game itself is a little short. Now, I wasn't expecting the length of Half-Life, but they could have worked in a few more levels. #3 This last boss is way too easy. Most of the bigger enemies in the game are harder then he is. #4 The ending was a let down. It's lasts like an entire minute. Most of the cinematic scenes in the game are longer then the ending. Oh well, lets hope they work out all the bugs for the expansion pack "RTCW: Enemy Territory" due out this Christmas. Pros: One of the, if not the, Best Multiplayer Modes Ever! The Single player story is above average. The Graphics! Counter-Strike had met it's match in terms of Multiplayer. The Quake III Engine was made for this game! ... Did I mention the PERFECT Multiplayer Mode! Cons: The AI in the single player game is pretty bad! The Single Player Game is a little on the short side! You need at least 5 people on each team in multiplayer to have a good game! WHERE ARE THE BOTS! The last boss is a joke! Unsatisfying Ending! ...
Rating: Summary: Wolfenstein Review: This is an awesome price on one of the best games ever made. Do yourself a favor and purchase this game as soon as possible.
Rating: Summary: Almost perfect Review: I'll make this brief. Graphics, gameplay and storyline were all great. The annoying interface was not. Believe it or not, I was so annoyed with the save and load menus that it sort of spoiled the experience. Saving was annoying because when I quicksaved, the game reloaded where it wanted to, not where I had last quicksaved. Saving normally was annoying because I had to click on my save game file over and over to make the game recognize the filename and save over it. Other than that, I did enjoy the game, though the WWII genre is getting old after playing a few of the games out there. I do recommend this game to people who aren't easily annoyed.
Rating: Summary: great first person shooter Review: Excellent Game if you into First Perosn shooters! I was happy to have a semi realiztic game to play with believable weapons and targets that aren't monsters or super human. This game delievers and the german soldiers actually have some intelligence, they will come after you. The only drawback is in the catacombs with the paranormal zombies and whatnot but in fitting with the story line it is OK. The zombies only last for a couple scenes. Overall, it is a great game with realiztic weapons from World War II. Machine guns, long range rifles, scopes, hand gernades, flame thrower, etc. - worth the purchase.
