Rating: Summary: Great Review: Well everything technical has been said and it's a wonderful game, although a little confusing at first. But my favorite part is when you chose your favorite character (B'ellana) and use her/him to shoot at characters you hate (Chackotay,Seven and Neelix for example). All in all it's a good game.
Rating: Summary: Elite Force Review: This game is pretty good. The graphics almost look like the real Voyager. It has some interesting missions to go on.
Rating: Summary: A Real Masterpiece Review: I know, I know...I'm not a Star Trek fan either. I never watched "The Next Generation" on a regular basis, or memorized the Prime Directive or any of that stuff. It's common knowledge as well in the PC games industry that if game comes out and has the "Star Trek" label on it, it's going to be junk. That is, until the release of Elite Force! I was apprehensive about buying it, but did after reading rave reviews in PC Gamer. Truly, I was impressed! This is more than just a Star Trek game; it's a top-notch first person shooter based on the Quake III engine, and is still a fabulous game after being out for close to a year. First, there's the story. The whole game is designed to play out like an actual episode of the show, and the cutscenes blend seamlessly with the action. The character's voices are almost all of the real actors, and the actions take are appropriate for the characters. The plot-driven aspect of the game is riveting, and really adds to the tension. The only downer is that there are some annoying scripted events that you can do absolutely nothing about. On the upside, there ARE some characters that don't have to die; if they do die, it's a shame. If not, they'll help you out later. I'm still trying to figure out if I can save the Lieutenant from Borg assimilation, by golly, and I hope I can save him as I play this game for a 2nd time through! Then there's the graphics. When you're in a Borg cube, it looks ex-ACTLY like it does in the movies and in the TV show. The enemies are fantastic, and it's no secret that the Borg really steal the show. They won't attack unless threatened, they adapt to your weapons, and also have that really slick laser coming from their forehead. The weapons are fun stuff, too. All have secondary fire modes, and keep the killing varied. Then there's the multiplayer. There's oodles of maps and gameplay options, sure to keep you entertained long after the single player game is over. Granted, the single player game is short, but if you fail(like i did) to accomplish succcessfully all of the goals in the game, that gives you replay value right there. If nothing else, buy this game because it's a superb FPS set in Star Trek land. The system requirements are low, and you'll be captivated right to the end.
Rating: Summary: Extremely realistic! Review: STV: EF not only has great graphics, but it's a lot like being in and actual episode! The Borg are just like in the show, they won't attack unless they consider you a threat. The holomatches are incredible! I am totally addicted. My sister was yelling at me for hours to get off. I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. I can't wait to get the expansion pack.
Rating: Summary: By Far the Best Star Trek Game Ever!!! Review: Star Trek Voyager Elite Force is by far the best star trek game created for the pc. The story line is great and the graphics are awesome. Voyager gets pulled into an unknown part of space from a shockwave, just after they destroyed an unfriendly ship. They discover that they are in some sort of starship grave yard that is protected by some sort of generator. The new Hazard Team, commmanded by Lt. Commander Tuvok is instructed to find out what they can about there situation, and try to resolve it. You are Ensign Munro (you can be male or female,) 2nd in command of the Hazard Team. This game also has a very fun multiplayer gameplay. Elite Force would be a great game for any Star Trek fan, and lots of non-star trek fans like this game too. Make sure you get this game!!!
Rating: Summary: Very fun game Review: Overall, I thought that this game was very fun. You have a large choice of weapons such as standard phaser, phaser rifle, scavenger rifle, tachyon pulse, Infinity modulator. I am a major Star Trek fan so I really liked it that I could explore the ship, which is something that I have always wanted to do. Also, the whole game wasn't just shoot, ..., shoot, and ... There were a few missions that you could simply go to the lounge and talk with the crew and so-on. There were some things that were a setback for me. My computer has 350 mhz processor, 128 mb of RAM, plenty of hard drive space, a 52x cd-rom drive, and an 8 mb graphics card. Now, obviously, I am not saying that I have the best system in the world but it is decent. There is nothing wrong with my computer, but the sound is always skipping, it lagged a bit, and the loading times were sometimes very long and I had it on max. install. The requirements are 266 mhz, 64 mb of RAM, 'bout 600 mb hard drive space & 8 mb graphics. So i am dissapointed with that. And, I need to make a comment on the story line. It just seemed like activision didn't spend much time on the story line. It was your typical aliens trying to take over the galaxy and only voyager could stop them. And to me it seemed to melodramatic. However I did think that the game was fun and am still not tired of it after a couple of months. If you have a good computer, I would reccomend this game to you, especially if you are a Star Trek fan.
Rating: Summary: A Truly Incredible Game Review: WOW! What an incredible game this is! The best fpc ever released in my opinion. Even Halflife has it's job cut out against this one! Superior graphics, the best A.I. to date and totally realistic Startrek weaponry, not to mention an excellent and engrossing storyline. The game is actually a difficult one to beat, there are some puzzles that are very challenging. Anyone, who says this game is way too easy is definitely using cheats and/or a walkthrough. Get this game today! It is more than worth the money!
Rating: Summary: Great Game but storyline and multiplayer are weak. Review: I first bought this game because the demo was great. And I loved the game until the very end of the story line in which I was suprised at the shortness of the single player. The Holomatch portion of the game is very dull with there being hardly any point. Multiplayer consists of who shoots who first. I have to say that I was very dissapointed
Rating: Summary: Awsome Review: This game is cool. You don't even need to be a trekkie to enjoy it. The multi player is fast paced mayhem. I just think this game rocks and would recommed it to anyone who is up for a fast paced blow your socks off experience
Rating: Summary: Impressive! Review: Wow! I'm very impressed! Many Star Trek games don't quite cut it, but this and Klingon Academy are top notch! The storyline is good, the missions are challenging but not impossible (some were very difficult until I got the strategy guide), and the graphics and sounds are excellent. The engine models faces much better than I expected. But the sounds are fantastic. I love to put my headphones on in the holomatch and crank it up fullblast so I can hear every detail. The multiplayer maps are fun; some are quite complex and take time to learn the in's and out's. All in all, a great game!
