Rating: Summary: Great Away team game Review: I think this game is great for a lot of reasons, but overall I think the attention to variety in the alien ships and the complexity of having to figure out how in the world am I going to get way up to that next level where all those aliens are ready to kill me. Most people complain its not all played on Voyager, but I don't think there would be much variety if it were on just one ship. Its a good heart pounding game, especially when myriads of Borg or Harvesters just keep popping up and your Tetryon disruptor ammo is just about gone. It has a good storyline. But the greatest thing about it is the surprises at the end of each mission which makes it more real than a planned out scripted TV show type mission. I think the Photon rifle and Tetryon Disruptor are the two most valuable weapons, along with the Stasis weapon in some places. I actually defeated the Hunter though with a standard Starfleet hand phaser. This game is definitely worth buying. My only big problem with it is...For some reason on several of the missions I have had my own crew members fire at me to no end. I don't know why...I thought it was a fluke until for the third time it happened when I had fought my way to the Firing Chamber on the Derelict Space Cannon. I was loading the energy round all the while Ensign Chang kept blasting me in the back with a Phaser rifle mistaking me for a enemy target...maybe he'd snapped or something. All in all it has a good story line which is what makes any game. If you like space stories and love star trek then You should definitely buy it.
Rating: Summary: Cool Review: My dad got this free with a computer part he ordered and he gave it to me. That was a year ago and I still love playing it. I've won the game but still play it. I never do that. The first time you play it it's hard but you die and start over till you know what to do and how to win. The hardest parts I think is when you fight the hunter and when you fight the giant slug thing. I buy a lot of games and most of them are aweful, but this is great. This is the best startrek game ever.
Rating: Summary: Ok game not bad Review: This is a great game. The missions are cool and they are a lot of fun. this game I would reccomed to anybody who likes Star Trek. Pros . Good missions cons . requies one of the most expensive graphics cards wih open GL library.
Rating: Summary: I LOVE THIS GAME!!!! Review: Since the creation of consoles, I really had stopped playing PC games but this is an excellent game! The action is non-stop and the AI is onpoint. The only draw back is that I had to buy a new video card because my old card didn't support OpenGL. I would recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of first person shooters. I preferred the DS9 series but this game from the Voyager series rocks! Before you buy this game, make sure your computer meets the minimum requirements. If you are like me and have been in XBOX and Playstation world, give this PC game a try. You won't regret it.
Rating: Summary: Fun for Adults - Great For Kids Review: Having loved the series Voyager I was expecting something different from this game. Now that the series is over I can still enjoy it in this simulation game. The graphics are great and the special sound effects and visuals are stunning. Still the people look a little mechanical (unreal), but the PIXAR technology is still a few years away to be put in out homes as of yet. The action is believable, the training is semi real and the charcaters are interactive. Seeing the ship is very cool as well. The younger people seem to like the color and interactivity of it. This is a good game to have!
Rating: Summary: Avoid if not a Star Trek fan Review: If you're a First Person Shooter kinda person, this game is okay. Makes use of the Quake engine, so that's a big pro, but there is no real hook unless you're a Star Trek fan. Non-trekkers will get bored after awhile, and the skill level of the online players is less then those of Quake, Counter-Strike, and Day of Defeat.
Rating: Summary: A game to blow your brains out! Review: This is a cool and realistic game called Star Trek Elite Force. It is about the U.S.S. Voyager fighting an alien starship. When they destroy the alien ship it transports Voyager 70,000 light years across the galaxy to the delta quadrant. The player in an attempt to return home transports to alien ships and outposts and uses weapons such as the phaser, compression rifle, imod, and scavenger rifle. Some of the technology you use are the tricorder, and the hypospray that heals people. I recommend this game because it has high resolution, realistic graphics, high difficulty for people who want challenging games, and is exciting.
Rating: Summary: Arrrgh! Fun! Innovation! Graphics! Trek! Review: Yes, this is the game that has it all: graphics, sound, multiplayer, length, innovation, fun, and, it's TREK! Yes, this IS a Star Trek game, and unlike many Trek games, you WON'T be dissapointed with this amazing game! After you finish the 40 levels of single player, multiplayer will leave plenty more. Wait, what am I doing? I gotta go play it...now.
Rating: Summary: 3 for single player, and an extra for Multi-player Review: When I first started playing on this game along time ago, I thought the missions were a little boring and that's the first and one of very few draw backs I found. Heck, the graphics are great, the sound is good, level designs impressive and large, but the fun factor I think is just a little boring and tedious and you end up fighting your way through the surprisingly short game to end up with a quite frankly awful and short end sequence. The game is great for Trekies but if you're just after a good FPS, look elsewhere, unless... The multi-player makes up the lack of single player 'enjoyment' I think. Not just for playing on-line but for playing against the computer or even with the computer in team games. The customisation option is great, you can even change the amount your man gets pushed back when shot, and the speed you can run and the speed at which ammo is re created. There are in the region of 10 multi-player maps and are all worth playing. This fine example of making a game totally repayable is something all FPS games should employ, it allows infinite gaming joy as you can find your sweet spot skill level and try to beat it in free for all, team, or capture the flag modes. Good multiplayer game, not bad single player game.
