Summary: This game rocks
Review: This game is sooooo realistic and fun to play as well. It's not like Rainbow six where you have to control your fire. I loooove to cut loose with a PK. One question, why doesn't it have a rating?

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Best Game Ever
Review: Operation Flashpoint is probably the best game ever, I think. The graphics are great and realistic and the gameplay is pretty easy and fun. There is also much detail put into this game and you can not only run around with a gun but fly helicopters, tanks, trucks, and more. This game rocks.

Summary: Take it from a Real Soldier
Review: This is the best representation of the Military. All squad movments are life like, all weapons are very realistic, and the scenery is ok, but it doesn't take away from the game at all. Unlike Delta Force 2(where it was extriemly difficult to see any thing cause the engine [had difficulty]), this game does well, towns are right on, tanks and hellicopters are playable, you can either drive them, ride in back or take the gunnery chair. MP is good, matching wits and skills against other players is fun and exciting.

The MP is the best i have seen, more stable then [other online sites], but has it's set backs from being on gamespy(an extremly buggy gamming world.

So for a FPS this game is the best and most realistic, graphics are good, not excellent, but hey, gameplay is what counts the most and Codemasters have done a splendid job.

Summary: Great game, worth every penny...
Review: Well, I am of course and American so I just received my copy less than a couple days ago. My first impression was awe. The games realism is outstanding. It's attention to vehicle, infantry, and overall military subjective matter is fantastic. Commanding an entire squad of troops from commanding a tank to keeping their head down while sneaking into enemy territory is amazingly easy while having options for complexity. The scenery on Everon is great. Having a shootout with the enemy in a dense forest (bullets whizzing by, deflection by the trees) was overwhelming. If your considering purchasing this title, you have no need to think any further... buy it. You won't regret this one.
I have also played online and while it can be a bit frustrating (figuring out who ...you are, who's on your team, where you are if you're lost), it's no more frustrating that it would be in real-life war looking down a scope wondering if it's a enemy troop's head peeking around the corner or your own team's.
OH, and my 4 star rating is due to the documentation. It's not the best, and for a realistic combat-sim I would've liked to have seen more historical data (weapon logistics, how they were utilized in reality, etc.). Beyond this, no complaints!

Summary: A new standard in war simulators!
Review: Operation Flashpoint is a game like nothing we could see before. Is it possible that the complete game has been created in Czech Republic? Believe it or not, it is true. Moreover, Flashpoint defines absolutely new category of modern computer games, it is simply perfect and flawless war simulator featuring totally original treatment and excellent addictive atmosphere.

When playing Flashpoint, you can enjoy an absolute freedom and huge number of military technology at your service. You will drive tanks, planes, cars, everything you can imagine in a war conflict and the storyline is based on this unbelievable flexibility. Originally the game field should be located in Czech Republic but the authors finally decided that a set of imaginary islands would unleash all game advantages much better. But you do not have to be afraid of everything being fictive, you will find Russians, NATO armies and other well-known real nations and people.

The graphics is simply amazing. Of course, you can appreciate all details with very good and fast computer only [at last Pentium III 667 MHz, 256 MB RAM and fast 3D accelerator] but if you can take up with less graphics details, even a slower configuration is acceptable.

The best and most marvelous feature of Flashpoint is definitely the discretion in every game part. It is only up to you how you solve each mission and you can play the whole game again and again without using the same procedures.

I guarantee that you will not regret your money if you buy Operation Flashpoint.

Summary: BEST WAR SIM EVER!
Review: This is the Ultimate War Simulator you can ever find(so far) if you are a sim fan, then this is a must have! I downloaded a full german copy of this game and it is awsome! Anything you can find you can use. But ease of use is not so great, and the graphics are alright but game play does make up for it. So if you can't decide on which game to buy, buy this!

Summary: Best Battle Simulation Ever !!!!
Review: You now ,IÂ'm playing computers games a long time , I always like 1 person shooters but I hate the puzzles and the situation where you donÂ't now where to go. So here We have game that simulates a real war zone ,in real time , where your only concern is follow the orders and not getting killed. Is true that the game doésnÂ't have the best graphics in the world but they are good ,you can use a lot of equipment , and there is always fun .

I hope that will be a second part or something to move on later. Really excellent game , since IÂ'm playing IÂ'm front of my computer until 4-6 hours flat ,and my wife is not happy at all.

Summary: Put Rainbow 6 back in its case, a new game is in town
Review: When I started, I just couldn't stop. This game is absolutely amazing. First there's the ability to ride, pilot, or drive any of the vehicles in the game and then there's the realism. When you run your aiming cursor goes berserk, unlike other games, since your gun is being bounced up and down from the running. The muzzle flashes and sounds are incredibely realistic, too. Then there's this other thing in the realism, the thing that makes it feel so real...that's right, the AI! I actually began to turn around and run at some points as a bunch of enemy soldiers are trying to add me to their kill-list. Usually in a first person shooter you know you have 100 hitpoints and you go off to do some killing. Here, three or four bullets and you are going home in the box. The thing that boggles my mind is that the demo is ONLY 85% complete. With these gameplays features it might as well be done! Imagine what 100% is like, not to mention the campaign and the mission editor! Multiplayer that can rise to 50 v. 50, and you have yourself a game of the century.

Summary: Incredible....
Review: It's about time that someone developed a game to carry on where Seal Team left off. With all the stupid and unrealistic wargames that have been released over the last few years (e.g. Delta Force) I was starting to wonder if I would ever have another experience like that of Seal Team. For those of you that don't know, Seal Team was an old DOS based game with shoddy graphics that was released in the early 90's. What made Seal Team so great was the realistic missions and gameplay. It was an awesome experience to try to call in air support while pinned down by Viet Cong machine guns, only to have your radio get shot up before you have a chance to finish the broadcast. Operation Flashpoint offers the same sort of realism that Seal Team did... except on a much larger scale (Seal Team was only 4 megabytes or so).

The graphics on the Operation Flashpoint demo are superb on an average machine (800 mhz, TNT2 vid card)... and the gameplay itself is enough to keep you glued to your computer for days. I have played through the demo numerous times. Unfortunately, I had to order the retail version from the UK since it isn't scheduled for release here in the U.S. for another 2 months. I also expect that the multiplayer will take online gaming to a whole new level. The maps are huge, and you can have up to 100 people per server. This game is by far the best game of 2001, with Max Payne a close second.
