Rating: Summary: An Awesome Game Review: This game is great. It's all that i ever do anymore. First I really got into the single player, and once i was through with that, (because it is kind of short), I started the multiplayer. The multiplayer is some of the best i have played in a long time, because you don't just die as soon as you respawn without knowing what happened (like in quake 3 or unreal tournament, and there are all sorts of different game types to play. The keyboard controls are a little wierd, but if you have a microsoft sidewinder precision pro or force feedback 2 it is really easy to figure out. What i did (i don't know if they still have this offer) was i got the game with a force feedback 2 joystick, for like [price], which is a pretty good deal. Anyway, as far as this stacks up against other Mecha games, it is definately better than MW2, but i have never actually played MW3, but i don't know how it could be better than this game. The only thing that bugged me about MW4 was the mechlab and the way that it worked, but i soon got used to it. This game rocks.
Rating: Summary: A less than average game. Review: This game really isn't worth your time. Microsoft has gutted it. Many people may be raving about the graphics, and the story line; but honestly, the story line isn't any better than mech 3's, and what's the point of great graphics if the gameplay is horrible? Microsoft has done three things that have really destroyed this game. The most noticeable is that the mech handling has been greatly speed up. The speed at which you can turn around in this is something I would expect from a 150 pound person--not a 100 ton mech! Microsoft has also made the control system incomprehensible. The first 3 mech games were simple enough, but this one is impossible to figure out. Finally, the mech lab makes it impoosible to have any variety. The game gives you only one or two options for what you can do to your mech. This igame is not worth it--buy mech 3.
Rating: Summary: Good graphics, storyline/sound/music..etc. Review: Good graphisc and storyline and all......but gameplay is hard!!!But very impressive game and I reccomend it for simulation fans!!!!
Rating: Summary: Good........ Review: .....But perhaps a little short. On the easy difficulty setting (I know, I know, I am wimpy) I beat the game in 21-23 hours over 3 days and nights.........But the harder settings are challenging. Graphics= smooth, clean looking, if only my computer were fast enough to run it at its fullest. :)
Rating: Summary: awsome Review: GET THIS GAME ITS THE BEST I SAY THE GRAPHICS WILL BLOW YOUR MIND AND GOD ITS AWSOME U SHOULD GET IT I GIVE IT A 5 BECAUSE IT ROCKS AND ITS JUST PLAIN FUN
Rating: Summary: This game ... Review: Been playing mechwarrior the day it was first releast,Then came mech 2 great for the time it came out. Then mech 3,the best of all. Then came mech 4,down hill it went. The game play ...,some one work overtime to over program the game. All the new keybord setting are bad, thay must think everyone is a key bord pro.I dont under stand why so many changes in the game play. Why did thay have to take a great game, and add so much bull to it.Mech 2,3.every thing was real close to the same, easy to controle. Why,Why did thay have to screw up a good game? All I can say for it,it has realy good grafics, and the disk makes a great place to set a cup of coffee.
Rating: Summary: Heck Yeah...Read on!!! Review: ...I found out that there was a brand new MW3, I bought it right away. Itkicked some serious butt. But neither came close to the goodness and perfection of MW4, which remains my favorite game. In this, you can control 21 mechs, which are basically like big walking tanks (sort of, but picture lots cooler). Sure, the game might not be TOTALLY realistic, but then again, it's a sci-fi game. All in all, I think that this game is perfectly balanced, because the programmers followed the mech creation rules from the Battletech RPG. So even small mechs, if played with right, can take out assault mechs. If played right, then it could be vise versa. I can play both ways. It takes some figuring out, but this ultra-good simulator involves strategy on the field, and I love that. The campaign is good, but to top it all off, there are instant action custom missions, along with multi-player. There are over 50 weapons that you can choose from (you can customize your mech, following tonnage rules. Your mech's tonnage detirmines how many tons of weapons your mech can carry, and each weapon has a certain tonnage. it's cool). well, I better stop talking by saying, BUY THIS GAME!
Rating: Summary: Not the best but good Review: This game has an awesome online multiplayer, but the game itself is pretty boring. It's fun in the begining but after you beat a few levels, you just start to play the multiplayer. Mechwarrior 2:Mercenaries is better in my opinion.
Rating: Summary: The Best Game I Own Review: Mechwarrior 4 is a wonderful game. The graphics are amazing, although that means you need a newer system to play it, and the single player game is intruiging, even if somewhat short. It starts you out in simple environments and gradually introduces you to heavy combat. It is very difficult, but in the options menu you can toggle invincibility and unlimited ammo to make it easier. The place this game really shines is the multiplayer, which is some of the most fun I've had in a multiplayer game. You may start out not doing to good, but you can learn from the people you play against. Microsoft really got it right with this game.
Rating: Summary: Best Battletech Game Yet Review: This is one of the best ones I have played. The only problem is the control complexity, which is easily overcome after a little while of playing the game. Hours of multiplayer fun also. I can't wait to get the Black Knight Expansion pack, as well as the upcoming Clan and Inner Sphere expansion packs.
