Rating: Summary: Im expecting Review: I have to admit: I had been expecting something else. This isn't quite like Saving Private Ryan, where if your shoot and enemy blood gushes and sprays, instead of little puffs shooting from where you shot him, this isn't exactly a war simulation. Aww, no it ain't. It's still a great game though. The enemy AI can be very cheap and artificial, the graphics are great 100% of the time (except one thing, Where's the blood!???) and the gameplay is some of the most creative i've played for a while. Happy camping.
Rating: Summary: Lots of hype, but still fun Review: Much comparisons have been made between Medal of Honor and Return to Castle Wolfenstein, with Medal of Honor seeming to be the favorite. I think some of that is too high expectations for Wolfenstein. Both are excellent shooters. The idea that Medal of Honor is a "realistic" WW2 shooter is misleading...it may have a historic setting, but gameplay is still your basic shooter (which is not a bad thing) Graphics are decent. Nothing too amazing. Many varied missions and mission settings break up the monotony of just killing everyone you see, but the game relies on rather heavy handed scripted events to challenge you. I think this ties in with one of the basic differences between MoH and Wolfenstein. Wolfenstein is stunning to look at and fun to play, but basically the same Id game...like Doom, Doom2, Quake and Quake2, as you progress you get bigger guns and bad guys get bigger hit points; you get that "level boss" mentality. MoH enemies never seem to get (much) tougher, but you are placed in situations that make even a few grunts challenging; like enemies entrenched in bunkers with machine guns, or never ending waves to force you not to stall too much. The downside of that is some of these situations seem forced and artificial; almost like an arcade mini-game was stuck in the middle of your mission (I especially hate being stuck on a jeep/truck with a machine gun with no control of the vehicle...there are quite a few of these "rail-shooter" sequences). But overall, most of these situations are interesting, fun, and appropriate to the WW2 setting; giving MoH a lot of character and variety. Very similar to No One Lives Forever in that sense. Overall; not groundbreaking, but very fun and does a good job providing that WW2 atmosphere and the sense that you are part of a bigger struggle (versus the more typical lone wolf Rambo killing machine of most other FPS)
Rating: Summary: Best WWII First Person Ever! Review: At first glace, just from the box, it seems like just another World War II first person shooter. Another game that doesn't even closely follow the actual real life WWII timeline. However, you're terribly mistake if you think that. This game preserves and helps to add to the World War II timeline. You even get to experience the deadlist land assult ever, D-Day. Which, is the very highlight of the game! Later in the game, you get to drive a tank or sit in the back of a Jeep and start shooting the Nazi's. Plus, it features all the landscapes from Africa to Norway to France. But, I give this game 5 stars for easy of play and much enjoyment!
Rating: Summary: Best first person shooter i've ever played Review: Medal of Honor Allied Assault is by far teh best first person shooter i've ever played. There is a total of 5 missons with a lot of levels. The weapons in this game are very realistic. The sub machince guns actually have a recoil and u have to aim after each burst. However there are certain elements in this game that really start to take the fun out of playing. For instance if u shoot a spot light, the gunner somehow spots u in the darkness and shoots the hell out of you. Its stupid things like this that make this game a little retarded. i once shot a nazi guard 11 times with the MP 40 sub machince gun untill he finially droped. Another thing is enemies can do things that u can't, like hide and fire behind a wall and lay down and shoot. Also dogs take many shots to kill, which is a little dumb. But other wise this game is really good. I sugest buying it.
Rating: Summary: real war time game with an education on WWII Review: i love it.. especially the muti player mode. best game i ever played. cant wait for the next one!
Rating: Summary: JAW-DROPPING FUN! Review: This game is so fun! The single player rocks and what is even better is the multiplayer. There are so many levels and objectives that make this game last for a very long time! I really could play this game for hours and hours! A must buy game for any WWII fan!
Rating: Summary: Unfortunately the same... Review: I've been a big fan of the MOH series on the Playstation one, and have enjoyed the gameplay with the understanding of the limitations of the system's graphics and intuitive gameplay. I was all excited to try out the MOH-All..... While it is comparable to the Playstation one, it's biggest drawback has to be that it is only comparable to the Playstation one. This game seriously sells itself short in the graphics department and I haven't really gotten far enough to determine if all Nazi's are this stupid. Overall, it is a good game but it should be so much better.
Rating: Summary: Great, but easy game Review: Medal of honor is a great game, u cant stop playing it. u have to keep going on and on (believe me, i know). but what bugs me is that the company made the game to easy- u always have a compas on the top-left of the screen, so u always know where to go. - killing people is fun but it gets boring and easy since u usually kill them with a sniper because otherwise u get killed if u go straight ahead. - finally mission objectives are not that hard and u easlly get to the point. (no thinking, etc.) Despite the fact that the game is easy, the game has great graphics and weapons, so it doesnt get that boring, and u feel that u are living the game! alltogether this game is great! u can also try the hard level (since i only had a chance to play normal) and have a great time! u definetlly will not be disapointed from this game
Rating: Summary: one word: AWESOME!!!! Review: From the Beach, to the trenches. MOHAA is a great game, I play it dayly and I love every moment of the game... Awesome story line, and great graphics. I also love the music, every intense moment has intense music with it as well... this game contains no bugs I am aware of. EA does a great job with the Detail and Accuracy of WW2: the Greatest war of all wars. I'm 17 years old, and I have been in love with ww2 since I first studied about it in 3rd grade. I'm also writing a WWII novel, based on this hit game. If you loved Saving Private Ryan, and you wanted to know what it was like to be on the beach? then buy this game... you wlll not be dissappointed.
Rating: Summary: Best First Person Shooter Ever Review: A lot of action games nowadays boast pretty graphics but meager run-and-gun gameplay, where you basically (1) go into a new room/hallway/area; (2) shoot enemies who rush at you; (3) repeat 1-2. This game's graphics are second to none, but what's steller about it is that it truly gives purpose to the action by immersing you in various historically-based missions in Europe during WWII, including the brutally difficult D-Day assault on Omaha beach. And the attention to detail, from the idle chatter of the Nazi soldiers, to the firing quirks of the various WWII weapons you use, add to the realism and pleasure of the gameplay. I should add that the missions and settings are quite varied from each other, so you never get the feeling that you've already been there and done that, either within the game, or by comparison to other games. If you enjoyed watching Saving Private Ryan, go get this game and get in the middle of the action.
