Rating: Summary: Best game of all? NO WAY! Review: Let me tell you the truth people about this game. Some believe this is the best of all FPS game ever but its completely wrong. A lot of us who got this game are Delta Force players and a lot of us complain it have stupid AI from DF1 to DF4, but the fact is, that Medal of Honor have actually nothing more to offer. Let me introduce you the AI of this game, you shoot a soldier in in very close to another and what happen - well actually nothing, because the other one simple didn't hear it. Maybe those fighting happen in AMsterdam where all of the soldiers wuz simple high? I dont know. But what I mostly hate is that this game im comparision to DF have simple VERY strict way of plain - you can't just from Window you can't go anywhere except the areas where your mission should be done. And yeah looks like people from EA have forgot that a human can't simple accomodate 8 - 15 bullets - in Operation Flashpoint you can be simple shot by just ONE shot - like in REAL LIFE. ... You are at the airfield mission and have to shoot everything but you occasionally hit your jeep - no problem you not only got a factory of bullets with you, you also have bullet proof jeep. hat a shame. The good part is the graphic and the sound - it is very good and very funny sometimes - of course if you understand german. In all total this game is worser then Delta Force - any of them - and by VERY VERY far worser then Operation Flashpoint which I would HIGHLY recommend to all FPS gamers.
Rating: Summary: One of the best FPSs of all time Review: A word of caution: If you're coming from games like Halo of other "run-like-a-headless-chicken" shooters, this game may not be for you. To be sure, Halo was a work of art, but MOHAA raises the bar to an insanely high level. Gameplay 4.5/5 I, for one, was suprised about MOHAA's rather covert-based feel to most the levels. Not that it doesn't have a lot of action, because it most certainly does. The Omaha Beach mission that had everyone drooling will also keep fans of Saving Private Ryan happy for the rest of their lives. The only real flaw here, is that the game was rather frusterating at times, but it's well worth the challenge. The AI is also realistic, but has a few moments where it doesn't exactly shine, like trying to take on my tiger tank with a submachine gun, or an unsuspecting guard totally disregard firing a shot an inch from his head. Graphics 4/5 Very pretty. The detailed weapons, characters, and cool artillery explosions are great, so you better have a helluva system. The only problem is a few minor graphical glitches, such as a weapon from a fallen foe being stuck on a wall, slowly rotating in a circle. Also, the tank shell explosions seem amazingly small when it hits the ground, but is magnificent when you blow apart a building. Sound 5/5 This is where the game truly stands out. Excellent soundtrack, realistic gunfire, the sounds of incoming artillery, and great voice acting seperate this from anything else you've ever heard. Try playing Omaha Beach with the speakers turned up. Multiplayer 4.5/5 Ignore the description of it being "average". If you can stand the occasional spawn killing, rocket wielding, and that one bad map (Southern France), multiplayer is worth it. My advice? Buy it.. Plus, the expansion's being released soon!
Rating: Summary: A very good first person shooter for all fans Review: Hands down, this is an excellent game. Very good gameplay, graphics are not too bad, and the missions are well layed out. The main advantage to this game is the amazing gameplay. If you're looking for pure graphics don't bother. But for those who are looking for a great, fun game, then this is the one for you. Single player has a variety of missions form infiltrating a sub to making it across Omaha Beach. Eveen the weapons are included in the great parts of this game. These include the M-1 rifle, Thomphson sub-machine gun, Brown Atomatic Rifle, hand-grenades, and the bazooka. Every weapon has it's advantages and disadvantages. The M-1 has good accuracy, a very long range, and a quick re-load time. But it is semi-automati. The thompson has a thirty-round magazine, quick repation, and is nice and light. But it has very little range and has little power. THe BAR is very powerful, has a long range, and is atoumatic, but is very heavy and has only a 20 round magazine. Multiplayer is one of the best parts of Hedal of honor. Using Gamespy you can play different types of games. I play multiplayer a lot myself. You can also play on the Axis side and use the axis guns. There are some downsides to Medal of Honor, but are not too bad. The graphics are not great unless you have a top of the line computer. Yes, there is heavily scripted AI. For example, in one level there is a truck full of soliders that rides up near you. Shoot all you want, but you can't kill them untill they get out of the truck. Fortunatley, this is the worst and only instince where it has a lot of effect. Most of the time when there are guys on your side, they have a health meter like you. For the most part this is an amazing game and I think it thourghly deserves 5 stars
Rating: Summary: Best PC Game on the Market Review: This is far and away the best PC game out there. Once you play it, you will be hooked. The single-player is great (better than MOHFL for PS2), but it doesn't even compare to the online multiplayer. Once you play the game online, that is all you will want to do in your free time. The controls (basically the same as Half-Life) may take some getting used to at first, but you'll be playing like a pro after the first week or two. All you need is a fast net connection and 50 bucks to get your first sample of heaven.
Rating: Summary: One of the best Review: Because the players move fairly realistically (moving about the speed and tempo of a man with 50+ lbs of gear on, army boots, and whatever weapon he is holding...one of the big draws for this game for me) UT players will take some time to adjust to this game, but once you do it is worth it. The sound effects are just incredible. You can actually use them to help you play (listen for the shot, or them sneaking up on you. Walk on the soft ground instead of running on the concrete to help hide your approach, etc...). It really sucks you in, and makes you feel like you were there. Tramping and skulking though ruined war torn buildings, looking for the enemy, crouching under the fallen debris, and then "SWISH!" an allied sniper bullet out of no where takes your head off and you jump 3 feet out of your chair. Multiplayer is the best, but single player isn't bad. Textures are realistically beautiful too. One of the greats of all time, and I'm not easy to impress when it comes to computer games. I just can't wait for the level expansion pack to come out.
Rating: Summary: Good game...very good Review: This is a quality game. It wasnt thrown together in 15 minutes and shipped out like some of the newer games seem to have been, this took time and effort. Im gonna make this a quick rewiew. First of all, I love the unlimited Quick Saves. These are invaluable in a game. (Something that is limited of Soldier of Fortune 2 that really doesnt make the game any more fun to play) The controls are simple. The graphics are top notch, and the sound is near the level of Ghost Recon if not better. The enemy AI is fine. They come after you, and they challenge your forward movement. One thing I will say...If your into World War 2 games, it doesnt get any better than this. If your more into the 2002 type war games, look towards Ghost Recon, with more advanced weapons and equipment. I'm more towards the ghost recon end of things myself. Both of these LOOK great, SOUND great, and have a very good story line to them. Medal of Honor is a game you wont be disappointed with. Good luck and take care. ( I'm running this on a P 4 2.8ghz and a Geforce 4 Ti 4600. )
Rating: Summary: Medal of Honor: Allied Assault Review: This is one of the 10 best games ever made for the pc. Medal of Honor was a game series for Playsation, until EA (Electronic Arts) made up Allied Assault. In the game, you play as Lieutenant Powell, a US Army member doing behind-german-lines work, such as blowing up a U-Boat, Destroying tanks (tiger tanks), stealing Nazi documents, and just pumping (Nazi 's) full of lead as they yell at you in German. The AI is pretty good for an "Easy" mission. One of the most famous missions is the Omaha Beach landing. If you are worried about violence, since its WWII, you shouldnt worry. There is no blood or language, but the only violence is a Nazi shouting german when he gets shot. You get to use famous weapons, like the Thompson SMG, or the M1 Garand rifle, and the famous BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle). This is the best game, and has extremly realistic graphics, so what the heck are u waiting for, buy it!!!!
Rating: Summary: Fine Box game.... long way to go Online Multi-Player Review: Great Eye-Candy graphics and decent playability even on my system; a Celermine 666 over-clocked to 790mhz with over 300mb system memory and a 64mb SDRAM GeForce 2 card, MOHAA is very playable. Unfortunately, the online interface through GameSpy's network connects a confusing jumble of servers and leaves much to be desired for multi-player mode. Crashes are frequent in online play. My dial-up is virtually unplayable with pings of nearly half a second rendering this twitch reflex game and exercise in masochism for someone with lousy rural phone lines/isp's, and no access to Cable, or DSL service. I suspect by the gleeful scoring made online against me by Cable and DSL opponents it is much more playable. That said, I play IEN's WW2 online flight sim, "Warbirds" and their patented Megaplayer technology is rock solid, offering much easier interface and playability by eliminating multi-player latency. I wish they would license that technology and utilize it in the Online mode. Yes there is a fee to fly Multiplayer in Warbirds, but given the size of the MOHAA community many such as myself would pay to play for a higher quality experience. Ratings : AI play 4 Stars, Online 2 Stars.
Rating: Summary: Just A Message To The 1 Star Peeps Review: Ok, you said...EA, make sure a game works before you sell it. I say to you... Make sure your computer can handle a game before you buy it! And about the blood, if you go to alliedassault.com there are blood mods. You can have from drops of blood to tons of blood. Great site for modifications of this game.
Rating: Summary: Best First Person Shooter Game Ever!! Review: I was flipping through Computer Games magazine and saw and ad for this game. I was amazed by the graphics. I waited until the Multiplayer demo came out and got it the first day. Stunned..this game has INCREDIBLE gameplay and graphics and handles internet connections extremly well. The single player goes from a training mission, to Africa, to France and ends in Germany. This game has to be the best World War II game ever created. The events and dialouge are true to WWII as you can get. If you saw and liked "Saving Private Ryan", picture yourself as one of those soldiers in that movie. The Omaha Beach level has to be everyones favorite. They say almost the same things in that level as they do in "Saving Private Ryan". Weapons=GREAT!! Here is a list of all weapons! Items with a * next to them are included with all weapons. Allies (Americans) M1 Garand (Rifle) Springfield Rifle (Sniper Rifle) Thompson (Sub Machine Gun) BAR-Browining Automatic Rifle (Machine Gun) Bazooka (Rocket Launcher) Winchester Shotgun (Shotgun) Colt 45 (Pistol)* Grenade* Axis (German/Nazi) Mauser (Rifle) Mauser Kar 98 Sniper (Sniper Rifle) MP40 (Sub Machine Gun) StG 44 (Machine Gun) Panzerchreck (Rocket Launcher) Winchester Shotgun (Shotgun) Walther P38 (Pistol) * Steilhgrante (Grenade)* There is also a MG42 Mounted machine gun that can be found on various levels. I recomend you buy this game!!! Strongly! The expansion pack comes out in January. With extra levels. Ill say one more time, if your into gaming and World War II, no other game can outdo..Medal of Honor:Allied Assault.com
