Summary: Very slow, even at low resolution
Review: This game just runs to &*#%ing slow! Even on a P4 2GHz with DDR RAM and ATI Radeon 9000 Pro 128 video card this game seems to struggle with even a 1024x768 resolution. By comparison, my Unreal Tournament 2004 runs perfectly at 1280x1024 with all the graphic options set to max.Other than that, it rocks! I love the backgrounds, music, and overall feeling of the game. If you have a cutting edge video card -- maybe a Radeon 9800 pro or bettter, this game might be a great one (of course, for that kind of cash you could just buy an entire x-box and the Halo version for it as well). It seems to me that Microsoft made the PC version in some kind of careless hurry.
Microsoft is dropping the ball on gamers -- watch out Microsoft, Unreal 2004 runs on Linux and others are sure to follow.

Summary: Good but Could Have Been Been Better
Review: I purchased the Halo : Combat Evolved for the PC and played the game throughout one entire campaign. I enjoyed the game but some of the levels were repetitive. Regarding multiplayer play, I would imagine that if you had a private server it would be fun, but the public groups/servers were terrible. (Usually childish dweebs running hacks..sigh..groan) I believe the lack of a cooperative multiplayer campaign to be a significant flaw. While decent story, gameplay, music, sound bytes, and graphics, it is not worthy of a $40+ price tag. Other reviewers have expressed this sentiments more eloquently, I wanted to contribute to the group. On my scale of $0 - $50, it is about $25 including shipping.

Summary: All i got to say that i am mad!
Review: This game was no fun when i flew through it. sure i beat it i patiently went to the end of the game so i have a right to write this review and i still hated the game. I dont mind the story still i dont care graphics are not that great efcets are average i seen better and more of all my pc has trouble running texture of land inside buildings more than 5 aliens my computer goes dead slow. I dont know how i got through last parts with those yellow things. In games like UT2K4 graphics are pretier i never lagg or suffer slow frame rate and i did npot even patch it yet.ON the other hand later i played Xbox version MUCH BETTER so fluid and actiony.
I cant think much more of things to say beside i hate this game and those 50$ i spend where not worth it. i should have bought far cry or something. I WILL BURN THIS COPY YOU SHOULD2!!!!!

Review: I loved the game Halo. Probably the best game ever! Especially if you play useing co-operater. Its much easier as well.

Review: Halo on the PC is probably one of the best PC games out there. The PC version is way better than the Xbox (except for a few flaws). Online play is the best. [ATTENTION: IF YOUR NOT A NEWB, DON'T JOIN A GAME THAT SAYS "N00BS ONLY". YOU WILL ONLY GET TEAM KILLED... A LOT....]. It is the best feature for the PC version. It can go up to 16 players (PS only go to a 16 player game if have a GREAT CONNECTION!). THere are 5 kinds of online play: CTF (capture the Flag), Slayer (basically deathmatch), Oddball (wierd), King of the Hill (self explained), and Race(I dont really like race cause no one plays serious on Race games). One player is fun, but online is better. Now for the bad side...
There is a lot of lag on Online play. i dont know why, probably Microsoft did a crappy job of networking. So get a GREAT CONNECTION!!! If you have 56k or something around there, it will lag and you will not have a lot of fun on Online. People will scream at you to get off, either that or your network connection will get crapped up and die out.
ALSO: You will need a GOOD graphics card if you want to get the best out of Halo. LONG STORY SHORT (for you lazy people): Awesome game, bad networking. 4 stars.

Review: This game is so fun it's crazy. Playin it online is amazingly fun and addictive. Time will go by so fast that you'll forget to eat and sleep. This game also has new vehicles and weapons that the X-Box version didnt have. Don't come complaining to me when you forget to buy your family gifts for holidays because you were playing this game. If you buy this game it is money well spent because it will provide you with endless hours of fun. You'll fall in love with this game. BUY THIS GAME... LISTEN TO ME... BUY THIS GAME... Summary: Better on XBOX
Review: Ok,I have played this game on XBOX and now P.C.I have heard so many good things about this game,but didn't want to spend the money for a XBOX so I decided to purchase this version. Ok first off,I do not have any type of high-speed internet,so I buy games for the single-player campaign missions. The single player campaign in this game is great but I didn't enjoy it as much as on XBOX.
PROS:
*Large draw distances
*Using a mouse and keyboard,it is easier to aim
Cons:
*Graphics look more sharper on the XBOX,even though my computer is twice is good as what is required.
*Going through menus is a pain because of the unforgiving mouse lag.

Summary: BEST GAME
Review: Best game ever. That's pretty much it. The only bad thing, an i mean only, is if you just plain don't like first person shooters. it has lots of different maps, the multiplayer is amazing, with up to 16 players, depending on your internet speed. You can also have LAN battles, and Direct IP battles.
The flood can get really annoying at some parts, and just when you think it is over, you meet 343 guilty spark. MAN is that part annoying. all you have to do though is bear through it, and it ais an amazingly good game. Oh also try to challenge yourself, and beat campaign before you play multiplayer, even though i didn't because multi is so fun. One last thing. If you go to multi. , and there is no one on the list...hit "Get List"
