Summary: Great Game, But I'll Get to the One Star
Review: Counter-Strike is a spectacular mod for a spectacular game. Half-Life, though somewhat outdated now, is still one of the best FPS games ever made. The gameplay is superb, and the mods that have spawned from the game are great in their own right. Counter-Strike is one of those great mods. Counter-Stike is so great, that Sierra decided to sell a retail version of the game. This is why I am giving this only one star, in spite of the spectacularness of the game. Go to pretty much any website where games can be downloaded, and you can get this game, provided you have Half-Life, for free. Yes for free. The file however, is fairly large, but even so, it is probably worse to buy a game you can get for free than it is to leave a slow internet connection on all night so you can get this game. Basically, this game is great, and though it is worth the price, it is still available for free, so that price isn't worth it.

Review: This game runs awesome. That may mostly be because of my Pentium 4 100 GB of Hard Drive Space, 860 MB DDRAM computer with
19 inch display. My computer has a G force four video card, with Windows XP Professional. With my computer no matter what, this game will run awesome. In November Half-Life will be coming out with their newest game, Counter Strie - Condition ZERO! I cannot wait to see what a great team of Sierra and Half-Life are going to sell to us consumers now!!

Summary: Fantastic Action
Review: Counter-Strike is a fantastic, reality-themed, goal-oriented first-person-shooter. Its gameplay is neither simulation nor arcade, but a lovely mix of the two. On the one hand, all your weapons have a real-life counterpart and you have to take into account things like recoil and movement when aiming. But on the other hand, you don't have to worry about irritating things like bandaging wounds or bleeding. If you want to play a boring simulation, go get Rogue Spear. If you want to play a repetitive shooter, get Quake III. If you want a game that offers fast action and harrowing close-calls, get Counter-Strike. But don't buy this. This is the "retail" version. Go buy Half-Life (a tremendous game in and of itself) and download the "mod version."BTW - The only reason I gave this 4 stars and not 5 is because CS has slowly been making its way over to the simulation side of things. It used to be much more fun than it currently is.

Summary: Addictive, watch out for bugs though
Review: CS is one of those products that is really great, but there is 1 or 2 problems that hold the fun back. Yes, it's very addictive, and, like one of the other reviewers stated, 3 or so hours will seem like 20 minutes or whatever when you come up for air and check the time. The only real reason that I am giving this game 4 stars is for it's bugs. Right now, the latest version of CS is 1.5, and soon there will be 1.6. But since v1.4, bugs have started to appear more frequently, like connection problems (not lag), server errors, crashes, and ever since I installed the 1.5 patch, I haven't been able to play. I run off off a 56k with onboard graphics, 160mb of RAM, and a 466MHz Celeron, and for the most part it runs OK, but now when I join a server, at the last second before the console screen scrolls up, my computer just restarts. I have reformated my hard drives and tried the recommended fixes, but it only worked once and then it started again. I also emailed Sierra and Valve but recieved no response. My freinds don't have this problem, so it *may* be my bug-tastic crash-prone torn-apart eMachines computer. Still, if you like multiplayer FPS's, get this one. Lots and lots of people play it, but just remember that there is a .1% chance of something going wrong (at least with v1.5).

Review: This game is great! It combines strategy w/ fun and exitement.The different levels & weapons keep it interesting. If u r bored, with this game hanging around, it'll keep u busy 'till dinner! If u r bored with the actual game(which I don't know why u would!) you can visit the chat room and chew the fat(or plastic as the case may be)

Summary: HaHaHaHa I'm surprised they call this a game
Review: Well lets just get a few things clear on why this game [stinks]. First of all when you get it you will find out you have to download about 6 hours of updates! Well after I did that I went to play a multiplayer game and quickly found out the graphics well arn't "up to code" we'll say. This game would be great if you barley want any realism at all, as in you can spray out bullets on full auto and have no accuracy problems. To top it all off once you wait 30 minutes to get in a game, you can hardly hold a connection for 5 minutes before you have got a message Surver has been lost or something like that. If you want a good shooting game and a GREAT multiplayer gam buy Rouge Spear, which is much more realistic!

Review: This is one of the best games ive played... and the best of all. You will never get bored with it. Because theres so much you can do with it. Like makeing your own maps and working with your team. It is the best online game ever. If you don't have this game yet I !ORDER! you to go buy it or download it. I gurentee you won't even be close to disapointed once you play it for the first time. Another Great title by Sierra

Summary: best online game ever
Review: i have been playing this game before the retail version. this game is the best ever if you are into online mods and fisrt person shooters. i have a 56k modem, and for those of you that say you cant play online with one of these, YOUR WRONG! i am in a good clan and i rock with my 56k. i recommend you buy this game if you are into all this stuff. the only bad part about it is that you have to download upgrades for it which take me about 2 and a half hours to download! but deff buy this game, it rules all, im addicted to it! BUY IT NOW!
