Summary: Intense Unparalleled Immersive Game
Review: This game deserves every Kudo thrown in its direction. I'm not a huge fan of the whole WWII First Person Shooter genre, but this is one of the finest games ever produced. COD is incredibly immersive. You start out by going through basic training where you get to learn the different weapons that you will be using, how to crouch, crawl, lob grenades, etc. Right after this, you are immediately thrown into the middle of the action. You are the "pathfinder" or scout for your squad as you prepare to land on Normandy in 1941. I wanted to really test my Audigy soundcard, so I cranked the sound way up and could almost feel the mortar shells as they fell all around me. The anti aircraft batteries were deafening. The ground just ahead of me was pock marked with machine gun fire. The graphics are also top notch. The AI of your teammates is pretty damn good. They will give you cover fire and tell you when to get a move on. Even in single player you never feel like you are alone. This is a team based game. You will not get very far by adopting a cowboy attitude or, you will die, and die often. This game is so good that it made me want to pause it and devour any and all information on the European theatre of operations during the Great War. When was the last time that a game brought history to life and made you want to learn? I cannot recommend COD enough. Be sure to take frequent breaks as the action is pretty intense.

Summary: Very good.
Review: I haven't even finished Call of Duty yet... I am at the beginning of the Soviet campaign (bought the game yesterday, that says alot). Yes, the game is very short though. Just when I was really starting to enjoy the first couple missions - I am hurled into the British campaign - which was rather jarring to begin with. Defending the bridge was surreal, almost artistic... However, major complaint - the DAM mission was awful, horrible, boring even. You're just wandering through a semi-maze wasting very dumb Germans (who comically run into each other alot of times). Then, it gets worse - the car chase in the first campaign was thrilling (although it can only be played once because it is so heavily linear) but then the game designers decided to pull the same trick - which made it mediocre. Then there's the Stukas... there is only ONE way to win this one - get into the AA and blow them all up - you can't really do anything else, no other options (filler?). The worst mission in the whole game was boarding the ship and going undercover... why? You can't walk with the SAS guy - and you can jump, go prone, do any wild and crazy thing you can think of and still not catch the attention of the guards. Then as soon as you grab a weapon that is when the AI wakes up and the whole mission just turns into a lame, very lame, first person shooter... no brainer, kill Germans. However, from all the reviews I am glad that they saved the best for last. It is a good game, and there are a few missions I wouldn't mind playing again like the earlier ones... I do wish they had so more missions to play - and I still have yet to try the multiplayer (which is akwardly seperated from the game itself?!).

Pros:

1. Graphics are good... not great though, I wish they made water alittle more realistic.
2. Very intense missions - lots of firefights.
3. Finally! We get to see some blood!
4. AI is a big improvement over MOH.
5. Sound is fantastic.

Cons:
1. SAS missions (except Pegasus bridge)... Scrap the ship mission... even the dam mission.
2. Heavily, overly, incredibly scripted and linear missions.
3. Only ONE way to win each mission.
4. Needs more missions, way to short (charging us $60 then make it worth our while!)

Summary: Definitely worth a five out of five!!!
Review: This game is, in a word, SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!! I've played it once and loved it! TechTV's X-Play gave this a 5 out of 5 and was number one in their holiday gift-giving ideas for PC games for 2003 and won Best PC game of 2003 in their award show. Although it's short, it's awesome. Summary: Best WWII Game ever.
Review: What an amazing game. I thought the WWII gaming genre was getting a bit old, with new games streaming out of publishers every month, it seemed. But wow, what a breath of fresh air Call of Duty was.

The game is beautiful, intense (the most intense WWII game ever), and loads of fun. The Multiplayer is worth playing too; gunning down fellow friends online is always a blast. Having already won many well-deserved Game of the Year awards, this game truly rocks. This is a must-by for FPS fans who like the World War II genre. Happy huntin'!

Summary: Great But I Wanted More!
Review: This is a great WWII genre action game. You move through the single player missions in three distinct phases during American, British, and Russian campaigns. Your skills are tested in 24 realistic missions offering plenty of challenges without becoming tiresome. A little advice for the novice: Don't try to be the hero. If you liked Medal of Honer Allied Assault you'll definitely enjoy this game.

Summary: TRY THIS, PRONTO.
Review: Warning: Call of Duty may keep you glued to your screens for a LOT longer than you may have bargained for. It's bloody addictive.

Things I love, no, adore!, about the game:

(1) Graphics are mindblowing. There are places you could be forgiven for thinking you were on the sets of Black Hawk Down or The Pianist...the scenery of Europe (in WWII) is spookily elaborate. Very, very authentic atmosphere.

(2) Ammo is fascinating, a host of machine guns, grenades, rifles, and other arms from around that time. Weapons and nations are correctly linked. The best thing though -- the ability to grab just about everything you can see in the battlefield....low on ammo? Shoot the next soldier you set your eyes on, and grab his MP40 sub-machine gun. Beaut!

(3) It is NOT very resource intensive on your PC, and if you have a half-decent video card, it'll rock. (Is Urisoft listening?)

(4) The movement assigned to human characters is top-notch. You can crouch, jump, dodge bullets etc...all with easy and pleasantly responsive WASD controls /mouse movements. (Tip: crouching is slower but safer especially when in the middle of a shootout. The game does not really allow you to run, AFAIK.)

(5) Have played Battlefield '42 before but the plotline development in Call of Duty is something to beat. There is a great variety of mission types which keeps it from getting boring. The game bills itself as having three distinct single-player campaigns: for Americans, for British, and one for the Russians, but I found this is not true. You do get to play a number of exciting missions from the perspectives of each of these allied forces, and each one takes place in a different part of Europe. (I highly highly recommend the Russian missions)

All in all, this is a game you must get your hands on pronto if you haven't already. And be prepared to be playing it for a while!

Summary: THIS IS THE BEST RPG EVER
Review: this game was incredibly fun. Excelent graphics, excelent gameplay. A bit historicaly inacurate, but not enough to take stars off for. The Soviet mission to take Stalingrad is excelent, very similar to the movie "Enemy at the Gates," even down to that you get 4 bullets but no rifle. I recoment this game to all.

Summary: I loved it
Review: Probably the best single person game out there. Excellent graphics, actions, control. More realistic feel than MOHAA in that you really need to crouch, go prone, hide, lean, etc in order not to get shot. It will be tough to match.
Enjoy

Summary: INCREDIBLE!!!
Review: THis game is awesome! The levels are incredibly detailed and most of the time you can either blow up the flak cannon or antiaircraft guns or kick some nazi butt with them. The russian levels are a lot of fun cause you can drive a tank but the british and american campaigns also have great vehicle levels.
I can't wait for an expansion to be released:)
