Rating: Summary: Amazing game...stop whining about its length! Review: This game is something i've been waiting for since i got splintercell. A game that you actually have to think about what you are doing, or else you die! I am a World War Two fanatic and i have to say, this is the first WWII game with accurate graphics pertaining to tanks, weapons and uniforms. Most games don't pay attention to detail like CoD. As for all of those who say that the game is too short, get a life! Maybe you shouldn't spend 5 hours a day playing a game! Try limiting yourself to one mission at a time or at least try the game at a setting higher than greenhorn! In short, buy this game: amazing graphics, historical accuracy (the Americans take St Mere Eglise at 4:30-5:00, exact!) and great team game play. Oh yeah, the buddies who may step in front of you are the same guys who would save your life. They are just taking the most tactical position and just learn to work as a team and don't be a crazed killer. This game is not about running around with GOD mode on and slaughtering Germans (who were just fighting for thier country just like the rest of the boys-with the exception of the SS), its about reliving a time in history that changed the world and let us live how we do today. In conclusion, sorry about ther bad spelling/grammar (its early!) and buy this game.
Rating: Summary: Highly Disappointed Review: I was highly disappointed in Call of Duty. After all the hype, I expected a flawless gaming experience. However, the squad mates get in the way and refuse to move sometimes, and in my opinion they hamper the single player experience. The easiest level is ridiculously easy, and the difficult level is insanely difficult. Graphics were ok, but there was the occasional enemy soldier poking through the brick wall for all to see.In summary, I know the squad additions were supposed to take this game to the next level; however, they actually made the whole genre regress. Don't waste your money or time, albeit you'll only be wasting a very few hours as the game is short, short, short...
Rating: Summary: must have game. Review: If you liked MOHAA you will love COD. Must have game, go get it.
Rating: Summary: A highly polished, engrossing game Review: Call of Duty is like being put down smack in the middle of a World War 2 movie. Your buddies drop left and right as you race into an enemy bunker and reach for a Panzerfaust. An incoming tank fires a shell through the slit and you fall to the floor, your vision a blur, a gentle humming in your ears. Gradually you manage to pick yourself up, take aim, and explode the tank. You grab a pistol from a dead enemy and run around back, firing, firing at the swarming mass of Germans. In the movie (and the game), the hero must prevail. But in the game you fail so many times before becoming the hero that the futility of it all becomes an integral part of the gameplay. You become imbued with a sense of desperation that somehow isn't frustrating, but noble. It is moments like these that make Call of Duty so much fun. What makes Call of Duty so much more immersive than previous games of its type is the extensive use of friendly AI combatants, which makes you feel as though you are truly not alone in the war. There are, of course, stretches of running down hallways, killing enemy after enemy, like every other first person shooter. But the game is designed well enough that those moments seem almost a respite from the dirty business of all out war. The game is presented in 3 parts, showing the Allied drive to Berlin through the eyes of the Americans, the English, and the Russians. Each part is excellent, but I particularly enjoyed running into the meat grinder with no gun and 5 bullets, watching the Russian Commissars shooting my comrades as they tried to retreat. The only complaint about the single player game is that it is short, probably no longer than 15 hours at regular difficulty. The Quake3 engine graphics are crisp, the framerates are smooth, and the sound is incredible in 5.1 surround. If the game has bugs I did not notice them. The level design is ingenious, often sending you through a carefully crafted level in one direction, only to force you to turn around and take it backwards. The multiplayer is also polished, and reminiscent of Return to Castle Wolfenstein, which used the same engine. However, the level design lends itself too well to sniping and new players will find themselves the repeated victims of sharpshooters. Game types include the novel Behind Enemy Lines, which is a sort of hide and seek game in which you try to kill one of the desperately outnumbered allies, so that you can then spawn as an ally and earn points by surviving. But however good, the multiplayer experience of Call of Duty is not half as good as Battlefield 1942. This is first and foremost a single player game, with the multiplayer there only to assure you get your money's worth. And you will get your money's worth.

Rating: Summary: It is okay Review: I would say it is unbeatable if it came out 3 years ago. I had so mush simular experiences on other war games, but CoD has huge imporvement on 3D graphics. What makes if better is my 20' Apple LCD monitor on 256MB AGP (1600 x 1200 32bits) + damn fast CPU, I turn off all the lights and put on my HI-Fi headphones... awesome!
