Summary: The best game I have ever played!!!
Review: This is by far the best game I have ever played. Here are a few of my random thoughts:

It is also the most innovative I have played. The physics are amazing (in how many games have you spent 1/2 hour just playing in a child's playground). The physics puzzles are fun and help the story along.

I loved the varying locations and styles of gameplay. Each section is more fun than the previous! The game is quite long, but the different sections keep things very interesting. As you get closer to the end, the pace picks up as well as the excitement.

I think it is unfortunate that Valve chose Ravenholm (Zombie city) for the game demo. That was my least favorite section of the game. It seemed to drag a little. Almost like they were trying too hard to beat Doom3 (which BTW, isn't even a contest Half Life2 is a much better game in almost every way!). I could have driven around in the the speedboat for a lot longer.

I did not have the installation problems others spoke of. I bought the game online via Steam and a cable modem. I'm always online and was unaware of the setup problems others had. No server connection problems either.

I have a reasonably fast system (AMD 2800+, ATI 9800Pro, and 1 Gig Ram). I was able to play at 1152x864 with AA and Aniso jacked up. BEAUTIFUL visuals in the game!

Yes, this was a challenging game. But the game was so fun, I didn't mind playing some sections over-and-over till I figured out how to get by.

If you like FPS games, GET THIS GAME!!!!

Summary: Best Game Ever
Review: This is single handedly the best FPS I've ever played. The graphics are insane. I played CS: Source for about 15 minutes and single player for about an hour, and I couldn't let go of the mouse. This game had me glued. The story line and gameplay as well as graphics and the occasional comic relief, all adds up to one great game. This is like no game I've ever played before. Can't wait for DoD: Source.

Summary: Well Deserved Game of the Year
Review: Yes, this game is amazing.

It is not without flaws. Some seem to hate the story delivery. Personally I adored it, as it lets you piece it together. Never do you leave the eyes of your character, and never does he speak to break the feeling that you and he are one and the same. Never does a bad guy sit and give a monologue explaining it all, and never do you see what you should not see. The character is in the dark, and so is the player.
It's quite effective.

Another complaint is that the game is linear. Honestly, all action FPS games are. You go from point A to point B. Other games sometimes allow you to get from A to B via C or D, this game is a big more straight-forward, but changing that would make it feel less cinematic.

The AI is undeniably bright, however you'll rarely notice this, as it's mostly a shooting gallery. Guy shows up, guy dies. Fortunately the killing process is massively entertaining.

What sets this game apart from most, however, is the polish. It looks incredible on any computer. A great deal of love was put into the architecture, as well as crafting a living, breathing world. It's done so skillfully that you'll adore blowing it to pieces.

Highly Recommended.

Summary: Game of the year? Coming right up!
Review: Yo, you want details on this game? Read these other guy's reviews - they'll break it down for you. People are talking about it for game of the year all over the place. It's getting bought up like 40s on a Friday. That says a lot.

And now you got me saying this game is bomb.

And I know what I'm talking about.
