Summary: great game
Review: I thought this was a great game. There were a few times that I got stuck but I eventually worked my way out of it. The music really set the tone. I give it two thumbs up.

Summary: A pixel hunt game that held my attention!
Review: I'll say right off that I really don't like Myst and many other puzzle pixel hunt games. However, this game really somehow held my attention. It was suprisingly fun to play and the videos were very entertaining. I do agree with others that more Mulder and Scully would have been a plus but the game was still really fun to play.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Enjoyable for X-Files fans
Review: I'm not a big gamer in the Quake/Half Life "Gotta-have-it-as-soon-as-it-comes-out" sense, but I bought this game on sale when it first came out. Encompased over 6 CD's, the game opens in standard X/F fashion, with Mulder and Scully in a "teaser" before the opening credits. A mixture of live action sequences/intros (with the actors from the show) and photos of scenes puts you in a first person situation. On the good side, every character is an actor and things don't "look" real - they were filmed. On the bad side, movement can be abrupt and jumpy. The object of the game itself is to figure out what happened to M & S, with yourself as a Seattle FBI agent. In the later stages of the game, Mulder and Scully themsleves become characters, and you interact with them. The plot of the game, which was done by the show's creator, fits into the show's mythology nicely. All in all, it's not for serious gamers, but worth playing for fans of the TV show.

Summary: Great Game
Review: Normally i don't like Strategy-Type games. But this one was great. Ofcourse, there is a lot of conversation and stuff. But it still was a great game. The only thing i didn't like is that u can't have full control of the game. I mean like, u can say whatever u want, u can choose the dialogue only from the options available. And Scully really irritates u a lot in this game. All i could do was shoot her in the game. I ended up in jail. If there was more choices, i would have pissed her off in the game. I mean seriously, u go to help her, she behaves like she's the queen of the world. I especially liked the last part. U turn off the lights in ur house and play the last part of the game, man it's scary. All the scary music and all of a sudden soldiers show up. It was great. However, I'll tell u this, Willmore dosen't look like a 33 year old guy nor does he look like a father of a kid. He looks much younger.

Summary: X-Files for X-Philes
Review: Not a very good game in fact. But it is great fun to rescue Mulder&Scully and to collect evidence with A.D. Skinner for X-Files fans. X and Cancer Man appears in the game. I think X-Files fans must buy this game but if you are just an adventure game player, you should see it (maybe at your friend) before buying.

Summary: Do do DO do DOO dooooooo
Review: Okay, you're NOT Fox or Scully, BUT they make their little appearances throughout the game as does Skinner. This was one of the first adventure games I ever played so at the time it seemed pretty difficult. In retrospect, it might seem a bit easier but still the same engrossing game. Lots and lots of investigating, searching for hotspots and all that.

Good things:
1. lengthy with strong story the whole way
2. good brain challenge
3. excellent visually and fab soundtrack
4. it ran great on win98
5. you get second chances, and thirds, fourths, fifths......

Not so good things:
1. not enought fox and dana
2. there's a shootem' up part and I'm not a fan
3. no follow-up game? what gives chris carter?

Overall, worth the effort as long as you have patience and LOVE to explore.

Review: Okay.. Well I'm a hard core X-Files fan and video gamer so I do know what I'm talking about when I say that this game was not 100% satisfying. Don't get me wrong in principle, It has most of the aspects that a good game should have... including that awsome full motion video. The problem was that your Craig Wilmore. This guy kind of sucks. You don't even see Mulder and Scully until the later Cd's in the game. Plus the plot isn't really that strong for it... if your a big X-Files fan you know what I mean, other than the fact that Scully is unbelievabely HOT, I watch the x-files because they have such good story telling. If this game was turned into an episode, I guarantee it would not be one of your favorites. So to sum everything up, this is a fairly decent game, and it was intriguing as well as challenging with all the groovy detective work and following clues, but if your a big fan of the show, don't bother, get Unrestricted Access, if you've played that, sit your conspiracy-loving, mindless zombie butt down and watch some of your favorite episodes
