Summary: After a century of male superheroes, Lara rises to the top!
Review: First of all, let me just start out by saying that Tomb Raider is one of the greatest games I've ever played. I won't bother telling you all about the Lara Croft and what the game is about because if you're searching for parts 4 and 5 I'm guessing you already know the basic point of the game. In short it's an adventure game. Lara Croft is a female 'Indiana Jones'. Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones are one. They are adventurous, can fight, are not exactly afraid of much, take big risks, put their own lives in danger, and have this magnetic attraction to Egypt!

Part 4 is only set in Egypt. Unlike the other Tomb Raider games where a couple of levels are in Egypt (Tomb Raider 1) and suddenly you're in Rome or something, Tomb Raider: the last revelation is entirely set in Egypt. It starts out before Lara was a tomb raider, when she had Von Croy as her tutor. The game shows him dying in the heart of the place and shows how Lara returns to Egypt. She travels from Cleopatra's remarkable palaces under the sea to Greek castles on the beach side. She takes train trips and encounters enchanting enemies like a phoenix! But the worst thing she does is that she awakens Seth/ Horus. Is she crazy? No, just very adventurous! The game has a shocking and upsetting ending where Lara dies. But you find her alive in tales of her adventurous in the 'Tomb Raider: Chronicles' and at the end they show how Lara may be alive.

Enough with the story. What's really great? TOMB RAIDER 4: She has even more guns, tricky mind-boggling puzzles to solve, and dangerous enemies to fight. The stories are the things that really make Tomb Raider 4 great. The guns are excellent too. AND the enemies I mean mummies, skeletons, fire-breathing birds, people, and Egyptian gods among others! And if this was a movie, it would be sure to win a cinematography Oscar. Cleopatra's palaces, the beaches, the Greek temples, the Egyptian deserts, are all beautiful. And what's really fun is the vehicles you can drive like cars and you ride on trains.

TOMB RAIDER 5: If you get bored of staying in the same scenery in Tomb Raider, this game is for you. The place you're in changes from submarines, air vents, storage rooms, and sinister forests to skyscrapers and the streets of Ancient Rome. You start out in Rome and work your way through to the 13th floor of the Tower Block level. The guns you get in the tower levels are great. You also learn new techniques like making someone choke on chlorine. Some sections of this game are very difficult. You even encounter imaginary characters and live-dead corpses. Some of the hard sections include acrobatic skills, jumping wide distances, trying to avoid lasers when you can hardly see them, and saving your life in a submarine that is about to sink and has electrified water so if you step down you die. This game was definitely very challenging, if you can finish this without cheats, you are a master at this game! I highly recommend this but warn you in telling you that you need quick reflexes and critical thinking skills!

I really enjoyed this two games and I recommend them to history lovers, art lovers, game lovers, adventure lovers, puzzle lovers, action lovers, destruction lovers, horror-theme lovers, and Tomb Raider fans!

Summary: This [stinks]
Review: I will have to assume this game is going [to stink] Why would it's release be pushed back a third time? I am tired of waiting. This game must be so bad that Eidos/Core must feel it needs some severe refinement before release.

On top of the release date changes, neither Eidos or Core have bothered to put the news up on thier sites. ...

Summary: Can't wait!
Review: Okay, we gave it 4 stars, but we would actually give it 5 stars! If it wasn't because we ARE a little afraid of getting disappointed. But this game really looks like it's going to be a blast! The story sounds interesting, the screenshots and concept arts are amazing, and so on ... we're two kids from Denmark, and we've played The Last Revelation and Chronicles. Great games, and it wouldn't be a surprise if this is going to be an even better game! What a relief that Lara's still alive - and with 5000 new polygons!! And the new outfit matches the one in the movie... P.S. Check out tombraiderchronicles.com, they've got everything on the game!

Summary: Best Lara Croft Game
Review: I think this is the best Tomb Raider game ever! It is 100%redesigned new game. The screenshots are amazing. Same about the trailer. Redesigned 3D Lara Model is more sexy then ever. I am gonna purchase this game as soon as it gets to Bulgaria. The only minus is the new character (the boy), he is going to "make" a new game. I hope to find any logic in this version of Tomb Raider then in others. Also I hope to get more true 3D Graphics and Animations, a truelike story and an interesting levels.

Summary: doesnt measure up to past trs
Review: tomb raiders are among my favorites, combining the best mixture of shooter and puzzle games. generally, they are satisfyingly challenging, and the "engine" is still the best there is. no other games i have done have such natural running, jumping, and swimming. also, mac versions are better than windows. for example, the windows trilogy, in tr I, has lara a bunch of speckles rather than a well defined figure.

all this does tr 5 little good. it is made of four different segments of 3 or 4 levels each, with each segment comprising a different unrelated story. these segments are like rejects from past potential levels, as if they were tv pilots that didnt make it into series. for example, "rome" is reminiscent of "venice", but without the charm or inspiration. the sinking sub is like the maria doria levels. the irish island section is admittedly spooky, but, annoyingly, the action keeps being taken over by cut scenes. also, it is more implausible than dinosaurs and atlantean monsters. the last levels, von croys headquarters, are hard, but nothing else. they are deus ex like, but without the mission choices, the stealth, and the sense of purpose. also there are bugs. tr 5 is the only one i couldnt get through without cheating, but it turned out that when i became stuck, the problem was related to saving bugs. i wonder whether this was done on purpose to make the game harder. medkits are rare and there is an impossible shooting range. however, none of this lends to the appeal of the game, as these levels are pedestrian and have none of the attraction of the nevada levels. the level editor seems too complicated to be useful; i doubt many people edit levels.

in summary, this game is typically tomb raider, but without the inspired levels of the past. no hidden valley, no barkhang monastery, no madubu gorge, no train. i would buy the other trs first, and only buy 5 to have the complete set. i hope #6 reverts back to the style of the the first four.

Summary: This Game Looks Great !
Review: All I can say is this game is going to rock. The graphics look
better than ever, Lara's pistols look exactly like the ones in the movie, and Lara has the coolest outfit. And the plot ?
Well the plot is terrific. The plot is: Von Croy ( Lara's old mentor) gets murdured and Lara gets blamed for it. Lara has to
track down the man she thinks did it and keep away from the police at the same time. Meaning she's the prey and the predator
at the same time. The player can also pick what Lara says in
conversations. This game is also going to be great because you can use your body to fight. This is good because if you run out
of bullets you can fight with your body. Lara is also smarter.
One thing is for sure. I am going to buy this game.
