Summary: Hilariously fun!
Review: There's times when you just want to play a game to laugh and relax. Curse of Monkey Island is perfect for such a thing. The game is chock full of tongue-in-cheek humor and all sorts of hilarity.

Our hero is Guybrush Threepwood ('Guybrush' came from the original sprite art which was a file called guy.brush, the name stuck; and 'Threepwood' which was thought up by a contest with the Lucasarts staff). Guybrush is a pirate, or he wants to be one, you can never tell for sure. He's in love with Governor Elaine Marley, who is currently being wooed by the Evil (and dead) Pirate LeChuck. (Apprently elain told Lechuck to drop dead... so he did, and came back as an undead pirate)

Elaine has been turned into a gold statue by a cursed ring and Guybrush needs to rescue her from the pirates that stole her away and remove the curse. His adventures take him to three islands and overseas where he meets pirate monkeys, evil chickens, vegetarian cannibals, and lactose intolerant volcano gods.

The animation this game is excellent, the humor is top notch, the voice acting is great, and the story is excellent.

I can't wait until Monkey Island Four!

Summary: HILARIOUS!
Review: This game had me in stiches the second I started watching the intro, and it only gets better. Truelly one of the best games I have ever played, I have yet to find a game that makes me laugh as much as this one does. Add to that spectacular, beautifully animated graphics, easy interface and awesome characters (I especially digged that "scary" skull, Murray), not to mention an amazing musical score, folks, we have a winner here. Treat yourself.

Summary: Absolutely brilliant, my favourite game of all time!
Review: This game is brilliant. It is funny and the graphics are great. I only wish more games could be like this.It is good because you can go back and see if something different has happened if you changed something.

Summary: Monkey Goodness
Review: This game is probably the best adventure ever. Trust me, I have played many adventures since the early 90's. CMI combines everything good from the old adventures-zany humour, great puzzles, a good interface-with modern graphics and sound.

A further plus is the compatability. It runs even on old 166 Mhz computers, giving everyone a chance to play.

To sum it up: two thumbs up and get ready for a rollicking piratey adventure, matey!

Summary: FIVE STARS ISN'T ENOUGH!!!!!!!!
Review: This game is third in a series, but you don't even have to know what happened in the first two games (I didn't) to have a blast with The Curse of Monkey Island! This game has everything from an evil zombie pirate to a voodoo cannonball, a cursed talking skull, a barbershop quartet (three pirates who are also barbers), a ship run by monkeys, a seven-foot-tall chicken known as El Pollo Diablo, a lactose-intolerant volcano god, and a cursed diamond ring powered by the aforementioned zombie pirate's frustration in dealing with the opposite sex. It was the funnest, funniest computer game I've ever had the luck to be able to play. DON'T MISS IT!!!!!!!

Summary: A very good game
Review: this game should be put down as one of the best games ever. i own all of the monkey island games (not counting Escape) and this is the best installment yet. the only cons are the "swordfighting" and 1-2 puzzles are vague at first.

Summary: an addictive game
Review: This game was truly one of the best rpgs i have ever played. It is perfect for those who enjoyed the kings quest series or the kryandia series. This game has teriffic graphics and lotsa comedy, plus, it has two settings, hard and easy, so you can play it over and over again. I highly reccomend this game.

Summary: SUPERB!
Review: This has got to be on of the best games i have ever played. When it comes to witty comedy, adventure and interseting puzzles, Lucasarts is by far the best. This game has to be the best deal ive ever got on a game. Wonderful. The bottom line:If you like adventure, YOU GO BUY THIS GAME NOW! If you have never tried a Lucasarts adventure(excluding Indiana Jones and The Infernal Machine) then you should try this game. And if you don't like laughing, Then this game is the worst possible game you could buy.

Summary: Lechuck Strikes Again!
Review: This installment into the Monkey Island saga is probably the best, and most technologically advanced of the three. This game is a sequel to the previous one, Monkey Island 2: Lechuck's Revenge, so I suggest playing that one before playing Curse of Monkey Island. It will just help bring you up to speed. But what I do like about this game is that it offers the player two different skill levels. One offering the average amount of puzzles to solve, and the other one offering twice the amount. This helps keep the game from becoming old and boring, which is the problem with a lot of the role-playing puzzle games once they've been run through a couple of times. This has a great story, spanning two islands with tons of hilarious characters to interact with. Another point to note is that this game has a considerable amount of scenes that make the saga fan think back to previous games. A lot of series games tend to move on without any recollection or recognition of their humble beginnings, and I think the programmers wanted the players to know this. Either way, this game is excellent and pretty user friendly. I would recommend this game for people into parodies, slapstick humor, and the concept of role-playing. And, if you're a fan of the previous Monkey Island games, and you haven't gotten this game yet, you should act fast!
