Rating: Summary: BAD GAMING EXPERIENCE Review: I bought this game in early June 2004. I ignored all the "BAD" comments about it because it looks like an awesome game with graphics or whatever. When I uploaded the game on my computer, however, things started to go downhill. I loaded the game in my BRAND NEW 2004 COMPUTER (that i just got recently from Gateway - which I have played SEVERAL different high-quality games with - so I know nothing is wrong with my computer itself) and all of a sudden I would get to a hallway or a room in the game, and it would completely shut off. The Adventure Company did absolutely nothing for me, I called them, I e-mailed them, I sent them technical support forms, over and over, and I had not received one response. Also, the game (the only 7 minutes that I played) gives me a huge headache and there are certain parts that don't really make sense. I don't know what it is - but certainly buy the first Traitor's Gate - the REAL one with the crown jewels - best came ever. Dreamcatcher did something wrong with this game. This was a total waste of money. HOWEVER do not go to the Adventure Company's site to buy games - this game was on there for 29.99, and Amazon had it for 9.99 - talk about RIP off...

Rating: Summary: Messed up sequel to a great game. Review: I enjoyed the original Traitors Gate. Nearly photo-realistic graphics, great sound, challenging puzzles, and nonlinear gameplay. When I found out that a sequel was coming out, I pre-ordered it, expecting the same quality as the original. Boy, did life give me a hard whack in the face. The first thing that I noticed when I got it and started playing it is that the graphics went from photo-realistic to extremely poor. I hoped that the high points of the game would make up for that shocking low. If there were any high points, they sure didn't make up for the problems. As I played on, I noticed that some puzzles were very easy, others caused hours of fustration and thinking. The game also was linear and repetitive: complete the puzzle in the room, go through the newly opened door, avoid or defuse any traps in the hall ( if there is a hall ), repeat. Unlike the original, there was no more backtracking, no need to go back to a room you have been through and therefore, a limited way to look at each puzzle. Plus, it is to easy to die. For example, I was going down some stairs. There was a circle-like thing on the stairs, and when I stepped on it, I found out it was a grate, because spikes came out of holes that were in it, killing Raven ( the guy you play ). The sound is still pretty good, but for positives, that's about it. This game is nothing compared to the original Traitors Gate. If you haven't, buy the original Traitors Gate. If you have bought the original, imagine playing a nonlinear version with worse graphics. However, there are some high points. I'm just still looking for them. Overall, Traitors Gate 2 is a bad sequel to a great game.
Rating: Summary: DON'T BUY IT!!! Review: I thoroughly enjoyed the first Traitors Gate and played it over and over again. I expected the same graphics, excitement, historical aspects, and fun out of Traitors Gate 2. It was not even close! I haven't even made it 1/4 of the way through and I'm ready to toss it in the trash bin. I don't even think TG 2 is made by the same people. You play in third person, there's no searching like in the first it's just finish this puzzle and on to the next, and I find myself being either bored or frustrated. If you are hoping for another Traitors Gate game, don't buy this one because it's nothing like the first. If you are looking for a historical game or one close to the original Traitors Gate, try The Messenger. I enjoyed that one.
