Rating: Summary: Dracula Resurrection Review: Well, the game has incredible animation. I couldn't get over it. The story line is good and the characters have a good sinister vibe. The game is also kind of spooky, which is great. The problems with the game are that it is too short and easy. The animation saves this game from getting bad reviews. If you like games like Myst, then this game is good to get, but try to wait for the price to drop before you decide to buy it. If you solved the puzzles in Myst and Riven, then this game is too easy to be true. I happened to lime this game except for the fact that it was too short. If you happen to get stuck in the game, just retrace your steps and you wil find the answers. It is a great game to get, but wait for the price to go down first before you pick it up.
Rating: Summary: Not what I expected... Review: When I looked at the box in the store, I thought "Wow! This game looks great, I've gotta have it!". But when I got home, I found it far too easy. Well, let me rephrase that. The beginning was good and creepy and all, and was hard at times, and I was stuck on certain things. But once you get to the point where you want to be, everything opens up, and it just flows so smoothly. I expected much more of a challenge out of this game. Excellent 3-D graphics and compelling story line, however... I finished the game in about 2 days. Maybe 4 hours of gameplay total. I thought I'd be battling it for weeks! Apparently not. I'd only recommend buying this game if you're interested in a short adventure, or if it was on the clearance rack!
Rating: Summary: Its inexpensive fun Review: While the game was not full of compex puzzles it is by far a funner evening than sitting around watching Television. It is a very good adventure game and for someone just starting out it is perfect. You get results in a short time and feel a sense of accomplishment. Hey you spend 25 bucks going to a movie that last 2 hours...spend 15 and get 6 or more hours of fun with someone you love. I would suggest everyone buy this game...I like games that don't require a shoot out and this is that game. Do it...spend the 15 dollars..
Rating: Summary: HORRIBLE Review: Worst game I ever played. No more needs to be said!
Rating: Summary: Very, very spooky Review: You sit there watching the intro movie. Suddenly you find yourself in a snowy countryside - outside in the dark - with a full moon overhead and THINGS rustling around. You make for the inn right in front of you, but the whole building is hung with garlic bulbs. It really doesn't feel much safer ...Dracula is a seriously unnerving game. It's not gory, it's not full of things running after you - it's wandering around in dark places at night with rustly, squeaking noises around you. It's even worse when you get to the castle and you can hear stone grating around, apparently by itself-? The graphics are very good, the characters precisely modelled, right down to bad teeth. (Ugh.) The scenes are brilliant, even the snowy outdoor scenes which are reputedly a nightmare to do. The story is also exciting, as you not only try to rescue Mina but to avoid Dracula's peasant henchmen and bats, as well as taking the really dangerous route - of course - to the castle. But the animations are truly spectacular, in particular Jonathan's escape from the mine in the cart. There is one downfall to Dracula: namely, it's very dark. Not gothic dark or plot dark, just plain dark. Most of the time when you're indoors you can't see where you're going. It wouldn't be so bad, but key items and locations are hidden in these dark areas. I had to use hints just to FIND things. Other than that, this is a good game, if a bit short.
