Summary: Awesome!!!
Review: This is the most awesome game I've ever played!!! I played it at a friends house and was instantly caught in the trap. I've played other bizzard games (Starcraft, Broodwar, Warcraft) , but none come close. This is what you get from programers who actually want to do their job. This game features a unique way to advance skills, 5 awesome characters, and huge worlds full of monsters. If I were you I'd get this game.

Summary: Killer RPG!
Review: Diablo is an absolutely terrific RPG for gamers of every level. The storyline is intresting and easy to follow, and the adventures are truly top rate. I bought it as soon as it was released, and once I started the game, I was completely addicted and played for literally hours at a time. And I wouldn't be exaggerating to say that I jumped out of my seat a couple times when, completely immersed in the game, I was surprised by some diabolical monster.

Diablo is well worth the money. It will be a fun and addictive addition to your collection that you may want to play several times!

Summary: Low Tech and Boring
Review: Sadly I played Deus Ex, Sims and Rune before I got this game and it felt like I went back to 1994 in game play technology.

The idea of an army of cloned creatures coming at you on a flat plane while you blast your ever more boring weapons at them is sort of like playing those 80's D&D games on a 386.

The multiplayer is nothing more than a fashion show with all these characters sporting their new feathered hat or pin stripe magic wand. So, so dull. I hope Diablo 3 is more like Asherons Call.

Summary: Blizzard: Your First and Last Choice For Quality Games
Review: This game is great for horror or gothic fantasy fans, and also enthusiasts of middle-age and medieval combat and weapons. All of the basic weapon types in the game are actually real, and have real names. Wonderful variety of weapons, armor, etc... and the many quests you must complete during the course of the game are thrilling. The gameplay and graphics are exceptional. This is the best game I have ever played, and look at the price! Also, great replay value, along with the several expansion packs now available.

Summary: One of the Best I've Ever PLayed
Review: Of course you know that on a Mac it's hard to find good games, and finding the Mac version of good games when they come out. I give a hand to Blizzard for quickly coming out with a Mac version after the PC version came out. Diablo II is awesome. I can't say much more than that. I own the first one and Starcraft. Blizzard does a great job with all their games.

Summary: Decent game, same old stuff
Review: Ya know, it's been a while since I've had a computer, and it's been a really long time since I've played D&D. Finally my girlfriend let me play around on her Mac, so I went to the store and bought Diablo 2, first of all it was a little cheaper than the other games and second of all I don't really know anybody that I can roleplay with so I bought the game to saisfy those needs. I had played Diablo a couple of times, so I knew what the game was all about. Well I wasn't expecting anything really spectacular but I figured it would be a little more exciting than the original. Well I was wrong. It wasn't spectacular at all. It's just a little spruced up from the original version and regardless of them adding a little here and there, it's nothing special. I've played the game for about 3 days now and after all this time of being away from the stuff it should be easy to impress me and that's what Diablo 2 has failed to do.

Summary: My first Blizzard game.
Review: This is the first game Blizzard released that I bought, and boy what a choice. The grahpics are wht got me to keep checking out this game, but a guy I worked with kept telling how awesome this was and how awesome the on-line play was. And I tell you what. This game was awesome all the way through. Turning every corner, not knowing what was there and then being attacked by horde after horde of every kind of monster imaginable, this game continually kept my adrenalin pumping. The final fight with Diablo in the end was alot tougher than the one in Diablo2 and was a very challenging game. 3 character classes to choose from and many weapons, magic items, and shields to choose from. This is one of the best games ever released and a must for any gamer.

Summary: More action, less story is the way of Diablo
Review: If you have not already noticed, Diablo is easily located within Dungeons and Dragons. This is actually a benefit for Diablo, since it has very little story going on. This RPG/action hybrid is nice and it's multiplayer community is huge. Too bad there are millions of cheaters. Just be legit and everyone else will catch on. The game offers lots of fun. Not many complaints though. They are really your choice as to if they're bad or good. Get the game if you want. Not a wasted "money".

Summary: Simple, dark, compelling
Review: Sometimes you just need to whack things around. Storyline? Who cares? Plot? Who needs it? Gimme a sword and a healing spell, some monsters to bash, and I'm happy as a clam at high tide. When I feel that way, there's only one place to turn, and that's Diablo.

While later games have improved significantly on the user interface Diablo pioneered, this is certainly still a playable piece of work four years after its release. I find myself trying to get to the Previously Visited Places menu from Darkstone at least once per hour, but I can live with that. Diablo's atmosphere is dark, almost palpably creepy. That's not something that's easy to do to someone who's staring at a computer monitor.

If you don't have Diablo yet, what are you waiting for? At its new bargain price, it's one of those games that should be in the collection of every gamer.
