Summary: So close yet so far
Review: I absolutely loved this game. It has everything I enjoy about computer games and more. I'm not an X-files fan but the characters and situations were still enjoyable to me. I like the interface and inventory and overall gameplay. The one disappointing thing about the game was the possibility of dying. I counter this by being careful to save before doing anything rash. However, when I was right at the end of the game, I killed someone who, apparently, was supposed to come and help me later on. The game should not allow me to get into this no-win situation! I had come so far and now I would have to start over in order to see the end of the game. Very disappointing.

Summary: Very impressed...
Review: I am very impressed with the X-Files games. I actually expected a lot less because of many saying that it was a poor game. So far, I have been impressed. Everything has impressed me, from the innovative and fun inventory, to the wonderfully executed speech menus. The game moves very slowly unfortunately, and you may find yourself frequently returning to places for clues or things you have missed. The game's puzzles never get too frustrating, but sometimes, the game can really drag because sometimes, you just simply don't know where to go next. It's easy to miss valuable information. Besides the slow pace of the game (which isn't that bad, considering it feels a lot like an X-Files episode), everything else has impressed me. The presentation of the cinemas in the game are excellently directed. Many complain that Mulder and Scully don't show up enough, but that's silly because the story of the game is investigating their disappearance! X-Files fan will not be disappointed, and adventure fans or puzzle/mystery fans will also get a pleasant experience out of this. Being an X-Files fans, I am truly pleased and impressed.

Summary: Man, I love this game
Review: I got this game for my birthday about 2 or 3 years ago, whenever it came out. I was so excited to play it, since I was and still am a huge X-Phile. However, as my computer was rather slow (166 MHZ, 48 MB of RAM... you get the picture), the game ran very poorly on my computer. Therefore, I put the game up on the shelf, and didn't play it for a very, very long time.

Then about a year ago, my mom bought a new computer (500 MHZ, 64 MB of RAM). As I was playing around on it, I noticed The X-Files on the shelf. I then realized that I could play the game easily with no problems. I grabbed it off the shelf, installed it, and man was I impressed.

Now, although Mulder and Scully only appear in the great introduction and the final two discs, this game is still great. Mitch Pileggi, Steven Williams, Dean Haglund, Bruce Harwood and Tom Braidwood show up as some nice cameo appearances in the game, as well as William B. Davis as the Cigarette-Smoking Man, although he only shows up for a few seconds in an alternate ending. Oh well.

The plot is fascinatingly detailed, complex, interesting. I was stunned to find out that Willmore's "friend" turned out to be an enemy. Also, the graphics in this game are unbelievable. It's live-action video, but it's in incredibly good form and quality. It really seems like you're in an episode of The X-Files. There are lots of references in the game that only X-Philes would get (such as the Hell Money in James Wong's boat), which kind of makes the game more fun and familiar for X-Philes.

The bottom line is, if you enjoy the X-Files a lot, buy this game. If you're not a fan, you might want to get it from a friend first, but I suggest you all give this game a try; it's definitely worth it.

Summary: Great X-Files game!
Review: I just got this a couple weeks ago for my birthday. It was sentlate, but got there that night, I was told I got it, so I came here toread the reviews about it and everything. I did not think it was boring at all. Except for one point when I could not figure out what to do, because I was not going into the right room. Besides that, it was very enteraining. The night scenes were even a bit scary. I liked interviewing the suspects and witnesses, and talking to Skinner, Moulder, and Scully. Oh yeah, and 'X' too. Along with the new characters that are in the game. I hope they make a sequal too it, from how the game ended there should be one. Trust no one, play the game yourself and find the truth about it. END

Summary: Best game ever
Review: I love this game. It is almost impossable to find games that DON'T have CGI in them. I don't want to play pixelated characters from a computer screen. I want to see live action actors that you can manipulate and have talk to people. This game really is a great deal of fun.

Summary: No game is perfect!
Review: I may not be the best judge of this game, considering I'm a fan of the show, and a sucker for X - Files merchandise, but I thought it was a great game. But before I get too caught up in praising the game, I wish to point out a few minor design flaws. The game takes place over about a week, and in this time, we don't see our character eat, bathe, or even get a fresh change of clothes! All he does is wake up, go straight to work, finish working by nightfall, come home, fall asleep, you get the picture! Also, on the firsy disc, you need to discover your character's computer password. He should know it! It should be in the manual! Now, let's get to the praising. In the game, you play agent Craig Willmore, of the FBI Seattle Washington Base. Mulder and Scully are missing, and your only lead is a travel requisition for a cheap motel in Everett. The cast includes some colorful characters, and some of the show's cast as well. A fan's must have! (Even if your character isn't always the brightest!) Also, the storyline is very intruiging, and you can manipulate it with your actions. Finally, if you want to learn some fone cheat codes, check out Yahoo! If you search for them, you'll get some to send you on the floor laughing!

Summary: A predictable piece o' crap
Review: I must admit that at first the game grabbed my attention, but after a while it becomes evedent that you have no influence over the story and the only thing you are able to do is find the right clues and sit back and watch as it takes you to the next setting. For example, in one scene you have to find scully's computer. later the mole of the FBI asks for the computer. if you say "yes" the bad guys get the computer. if you say "no" then the next day the bad guys break into FBI headquarters that night and steal the computer anyway. the only thing that makes this game different from watching an eposode on TV is there are long delays between film segments durring whitch you search for the right pixel to click on to initiate the next movie clip.

Summary: Love the game
Review: I really enjoyed this game. I could have used more Mulder and Scully in it. Also Skinner could have played a bigger part. The ending was a bit of a letdown but I really had fun getting there. I love this game.
