Rating: Summary: Escape from Monkey Island, tops all other Monkey Islands Review: I played the Curse of Monkey island - it was great! It was so much fun, that I went and bought Monkey Island 2, not as good because it was made for old computer system with large pixels. I thought no other game could beat the excitement of the Curse of Monkey Island, until...I played Escape from Monkey Island. Not only is it like the amazing game of the Curse of Monkey Island, it is much better and has 3D graphics. You will have a great time with this game as you, Guybrush Threepwood have your journey as you ESCAPE from MONKEY ISLAND! This game is A+++! Excellent!!...I also recommend Grim Fandango!
Rating: Summary: A mind-stimulating game! Review: I really enjoy the "Monkey Island" series. They feature funny conversations, jokes, and animations. I had the game "Curse of Monkey Island" and I really liked it. It's a puzzle-type game where you are presented many options in conversation and item-managing. This is true for the old "Monkey Island" and the new one. I recommend this game to someone who wants a break from the dumb games where you don't use your mind. In this game you have to use thinking. You are first presented with a situation or scenario. For example, when you start the game out you're in a ship strapped to a pole. You have to try to get out. The controls are all keyboard buttons (p,u,t,i,arrows, enter, delete). This is different from "Curse of Monkey Island." The graphics are much improved from the previous version. They are now 3D and very attractive. I find the navigation of Threepwood a little troubling though, he seems not to move right and up at the same time. All in all, this is a game with a long play life. I can only compare it with "Grim Fandango", which is another great computer title. These lesser known games are really interesting and puzzling. Anyone can appreciate the humor, though.

Rating: Summary: Great humor, tough puzzles Review: If you like role playing games but not the super-serious-save-the-world ones or the really-bloody-and-gory ones, this series is for you. The humor is wonderful - very dry and surprising, the kind that makes you laugh out loud even if you're alone. The characters are well-developed, the puzzles are fairly open-ended, and the main Guy (his name is Guybrush, Guy for short) is dopey and exceedingly likeable. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I've had to go online for a few hints when the puzzle got a little too obscure but real die-hards should be able to figure them out without the help. Not for kids, though, some of the humor would go right over their heads (or so you would hope).
Rating: Summary: One of the best! Review: Monkey Island 4 is really great. I really love the music in it too.Despite the all the long series of talking sequences,(which is okay), I think its great! It has Murray, and Stan! I would also reccomend Grim Fandango too. That is also a great game. I'd say buy Monkey Island 4, and any other Lucasarts game!!
Rating: Summary: Good but not excellent-and stop trying to be funny, damn it! Review: OK, Monkey Island series have got to be one of the best adventure games ever(too bad that no one makes good adventure games anymore). Well, the fourth installment of the series seems to me like bunch of "wanna be" Monkey island stuff put together. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad game. I LOVE the voice acting and music in the game; and I still like the characters (especially Murray!!). But the more I played the game, the more I felt as if makers of this game were trying way too hard to be funny to live up to what fans of MI have come to expect. This game also has lots of bugs. In one part, I could not get out of a conversation because the game won't let me. I got stuck there until I found out from LucasArts website that there's nothing I can do about it. I ended up having to go back to where I had saved earlier and went over the same thing again (this is why you should save your game often, unfortunately). You have to move Guybrush just right in the right position to get the right options appear on the bottom of the screen - this makes it very easy to miss important items. Then there's the stupid way of having to choose it. It is very annoying. Controls (which is very similar to Grim Fandango - if you haven't played GF, it is a must have game) are clumsy and confusing, but it is functional once you get used to it. It works for Grim Fandango, but it doesn't work for this game. I want the classic "point and click" back! I also hate having to continue to sit and watch guybrush run from point A to point B - I wish there was a better way than having to hold down directional buttom while I see the same scenery for the 20th time. The puzzles are not bad. I actually enjoyed it until towards the end where you have to do some kind of baboon fight or something. Now, this is just stupid. Overall, if you are a fan of MI, you should already have this game. Even if you are not, still you should definately give it a try for it is a good game. It is just not out of this world kind of game (it doesn't compare to the 2nd and 3rd MI - LeChuck's revenge/ Curse). I know I've been very negative about the game, but it is still a very good game. It has excellent voice acting, good story line and wonderful music. I'm just waiting for the 5th one to be made and hope that it'll go back to the original roots.
Rating: Summary: Avast ye lubberrrrrrrrs..... Review: Right, so this part aint like the other three, but that doesn't make it bad, does it? No! When trouble looms, the fool turns his back while the wise man faces it down. And, I can't say that Guybrush Threepwood's character is as good as usual. He's more...well, let's just say that he seems to be tired after honeymooning for the last three months, okay? As usual, you play the role of Guybrush Threepwood, a not-so-fearsome-pirate but wannabe-a-fearsome-pirate guy, just married to the Governor of Mêlée Island - Elaine Marley. After three months of honeymooning, they both return to the island where Otis - the convicted schitzofrenia, Carla - the swordmaster you beat in the first game, The SCUMM Bar and of course, Timmy the Monkey is - MÊLÈE ISLAND *dramatic silence*. What?? Okay, so it's not a cure for cancer, but it is something! Anyway *sigh*, something's rotten on Mêlée, and both you and your wife has been presumed (and declared) dead. The Governor's Mansion is to be torn down, an Australian landowner is buying up the whole Carribean, and on top of that (if it aint enough), the Dart Championship is closing up. Hehe, yep, you read it. And of course, the horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible, bla bla bla *another dramatic silence* ULTIMATE INSULT! Y'know, since no one, not even in the game, can explain what the insult is (except that it is something that could turn a stinking pirate into a deranged mess in no time), I'm not even going to try. BUT, it is, none the less, your jobb to find out. Great, huh? On the way to unlocking it's mystery, you will meet various people (it'll be a surprise as a lot of old characters will be in the game) on the islands of the Carribean, like Jambalaya Island, Knuttin' Atoll and of course, Monkey Island itself, just as spooky and whacked as it always has been. The controls have been redefined in EfMO, and are just like in Grim Fandango (for those of you that has played that wonderful game!), that is that you move around with the arrows, activating and...ah, you'll figure it out. Well, it's a great game! Not as great as the other three parts (and not as "easy" either) but if you like Threepwood's adventures, do not hesitate - go buy this game! Good luck, you'll need it!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Prompt delivery! Review: The game arrived very quickly and in great condition. I would definitely buy from this seller again. Thanks for a great game. I was very much impressed.
Rating: Summary: Big Plop, Absurd, annnoying. Review: The only thing this game has going for it is the Monkey Island title and setting. The characters have been mangled beyond recognition and the plot is the weakest of the 4 Monkey Island games. Guybrush and Elaine are a lame couple and most of the jokes are dumb. I only played it once. After that I just couldnt STAND IT.
