Summary: Fun, funny, and off the wall silly!
Review: This game has become a favorite of mine in the short time I've played it. Guybrush Threepwood is a very funny(kinda nerdy) pirate wannabe who actually is(a pirate) but still acts wannabeish. "PHU-LEASE let me join your horrible little play?!" "PHU-Leeez let me sing in your sissified cortette." My first game was Mega-monkey style and is a good brain teaser, my second game is a regular style and their is only a minor difference in the two. If you want the best challenge start the Mega-monkey first, otherwise you'll know about the regular puzzles. -Not to givaway the plott- my favorite part was the banjo playing. In Mega-monkey you need to have an ear for music and a good memory. I have a terrible memory, so it took serveral tries to beat the ninni-fool(snugglecakes). The cut scenes are spectacular but it doesn't stop at the cut scenes, the in game graphics, especially on Blood Isle are gorgious, no need for 3D here. The characters are alive with detail and facial gesters, grimmicing, and eye movements. Threepwood's gesters are hilarious particularly his surprised look and his fish eyes. That cracks me up. This is a great game for kids and adults alike. Absolutely no violence in this game, you can attempt it but your main character will just say something like "I reeely think theres a better solution". I love this game and I think kids would realy love it too. There is an easter egg in this game that has persuaded me to buy a certain other product of humorous quality from Lucus Arts. I won't say what it is, I'll just say "'eh waiter, there's a meta-tarsle in my soup!!!"

Summary: Fun game!
Review: This game is a must have for adventure fans. It's 2D graphics are great and there is much humor going on.

If you buy any of the Monkey Island series games, buy this one. (Escape from Monkey Island is 3D graphics and has a different interface, not as good as this one in my opinion.)

Summary: One of the finest, funniest adventure games ever.
Review: This game is a refreshing break from the tedium of shoot-em-up, blow-em-up, run-em-over-and-laugh games that pass for qualiy game-writing. The authors created a cartoon world that you get to explore, move items around in, and try to solve a myriad of puzzles in.

What is particularly great about this game is that it is hysterically funny. There are moments of sheer insanity that have you laughing aloud and making other people wonder just what you are doing. The time you have to sunburn somebody so that you can peel off a tattoed map of his back is the strangest comic moment in the history of computer games.

The interface is pretty easy to use, and the puzzles are difficult enough. There are two difficulty levels you can play at, which is rather nice.

Highly recommended, and rather cheap these days too! Get the combo pack and you can get the first two games of this series, which, while really dated, are also a lot of fun.

Summary: A great game, but some annoying glitches....
Review: This game is great. Simply put, it shines at the top of its class. The game has so many jokes and puns that you'll be laughing more than you'll be playing. It has great cartoonish graphics that perfectly compliment the games already hilarious story, adding hilariously drawn characters and scenery. The puzzles are perfectly done, not to hard, with just the right amount of thinking and common sense put together. Sound is awesome, as each character sounds completely different, ranging from primitive piratey to snooty french (no offense intended) to laid back hill-billyish and everywhere in between. However, there are some very annoying glitches with the game. The game requires Windows 95. Now I have Windows 98, that should'nt be a big deal, but since this game came out in 97, there were some major problems with starting the game. Now i'm not saying that the problem had to be windows, but i had every thing it needed and more... way more, and the only difference I could find is the windows 95/98. So if you have '98, you can partially solve the problem by downloading DirectX 7.0a or above, which helped me start the game up, and help it run smoother. One other main glitch, is if you have a program running in the back, like if your downloading music or movies, and it stops or finishes, the game can lock up, and exit, so if your downloading anything, you may wanna wait to play this game. Altogether, I would definately've given this game a 5 star rating, as it so sorely deserves, but these glitches can't be discounted, no matter how small.

Summary: It's like reading a funny comic strip with brain teasers!
Review: This is a game that any true adventure lover MUST add to their collection. It keeps things alive with witty jokes, puns, and overall silliness but doesn't get too annoying. The puzzles you must solve are at about a medium difficulty throughout the game and don't really get any harder or easier. Once you solve the first few you can expect the rest to be about the same. I never play adventure games more than once because I already know the solutions, but I must admit I've played this a couple of times already and I'll probably play it some more. It's like reading a funny comic strip with brain teasers! This game supplies HOURS of enjoyment. I consider it a must have. Also check out Grim Fandango. It's the only adventure game I like more than this one!

Summary: A hilariously fun adventure
Review: This is a great deal, a 2CD game with excellent animation, great voice acting, and a script with all sorts of twists, gags, and memorable lines that you'll find yourself repeating long after you've finished the game.

The game focuses on the exploits of Guybrush Threepwood, a Mighty Pirate, and his neverending struggle against the evil (and dead) pirate LeChuck. Guybrush's love, Elaine Marley, has been turned into a statue of gold thanks to a cursed engagement ring and its up to Guybrush to restore her.

Lucasarts has always been the king of adventure games, and Curse of Monkey Island is no different. There's a bit of simulated combat, puzzle solving. character interaction, and just plain fun as Guybrush attempts to recruit a pirate crew and sail off to find a cure for his beloved Elaine.

Along the way he meets vegetarian cannibals, lactose intolerane volcano gods, Murray the talking skull, Dingy Dawg, and all sorts of other interesting folks.

Also, Curse of Monkey Island is a game that you can let your children play without worrying about them being exposed to gore or profanity. The world is light hearted and funny.

I hightly reccomend this game, its a refrehsing break from a lot of the gore fests and ultra-serious games out there.

Summary: One Of The Best Adenture Games
Review: This is one of the best adventure games i have ever played. This game has the best graphics and puzzles and there are two modes to choose like regular monkey and mega monkey. Mega monkey is more more puzzling. I read the walkthrough and played mega monkey. Even if u play using the walkthrough the exicitment does not go. I give this game 5 STARS
