Summary: Adventure gaming at its best
Review: Excellent! Beautiful graphics, intriguing storyline. The only drawback was the puzzles tended to be too simple.

Should receive Best Adventure Game of the Year!

Summary: A slimy lawyer Dorothy in a boring Oz
Review: I haven't finished this game yet, but I just have to say a couple things about it. The graphics are amazing, but it seemed to me that Kate spent a lot of time shamelessly sucking up to her boss. Also her cellphone kept ringing in the most inane places. But that was funny. Her character was sort of unsympathetic as well, she made poor Momo pick up the muddy oar because he was slow, so she wouldn't have to get her hands dirty. Also it really seemed to me that she almost flirted with Oscar. "I'm not done with you yet, you silly robot you". Why? But this game is still entertaining, just because of these points.

Summary: Like a good book, it's hard to stop
Review: Syberia is one of the best games that I have played. The story line and the graphics were great. It was like reading a good book. It was very hard to quit. It's nice to find a game that you can play without searching out cheats.

Summary: The Longest Journey is still Number ONE!!!
Review: I can't believe there are people who think that Syberia is
better than The Longest Journey. It does not even come close!!!
Well, the graphics are beautiful and better than TLJ but that's about it.
Syberia had a good story at the start. However, it failed to develop the story
like in TLJ. The many characters in the Syberia were not interesting but rather annoying.
The worst is the Ending; I could have come up with a better one, seriously.
Anyway, if u have never played The Longest Journey, you may not know what I am talking about. So do yourself a favor and GET TLJ instead of Syberia. And to the people who already owned the Syberia, get TLJ and paly it; u will see for youself why THE LONGEST JOURNEY IS STILL NUMBER ONE.

Summary: Almost MYST-like
Review: For MYST fans Syberia may be a good prelude to Parable/Mudpie, for others its an excellent problem solving game with tremendous graphics. The puzzles are not difficult and the ending sets up for SYBERIA 2 which hopefully will allow a first person viewpoint and a 360 degree environment.

Summary: will not play on my computer!
Review: This is a GREAT game, unfortunatly it freezes on my computer! I wish the game makers would not make "special computer games that will not play except on "certain' computers and not tell us!! I looked everywhere for a patch, none found. I am very leary of games I buy now, maybe we all should be. I am stuck with it!

Summary: Syberia is better than the Longest Journey.
Review: Syberia is an amazing adventure game. The Longest Journey was wonderful but entirely too wordy. They are definitely on the same page. This game was relaxing and it had everything you could possibly want. It's like a good book you do not want to put down but I would force myself to slow down, sit back and enjoy it as well. Why rush it and then who knows how long it will take for Syberia II to appear. I recommend you buy it.

Summary: BEAUTIFUL GRAPHICS AND GREAT CHALLENGES
Review: I'm not a shoot em up kind of game player and I loved this game even though I wasn't going to get it after trying the Demo. The graphics are truly amazing and movement is fairly easy. I like using the mouse to move around and this was very easy. The game only choked on me once and I have XP. The challenges and puzzles were not too terribly hard and they made sense. I was able to get through it fairly good without having to cheat and look at a walkthrough! The constant cell phone calls though from friends was a bit annoying but other than that - GREAT GAME and can't wait for the sequel!

Summary: Disappointing but still decent
Review: I had read such wonderful reviews about this game on "justadventuregames.com" as well as several other places, that I was probably expecting too much. And the graphics ARE gorgeous, no arguments there. But... the story failed to live up to its early promise, and the ending was extremely abrupt and a letdown... I felt bored many times, and the game only took my husband and me about 15 hours to play. We consulted walkthroughs about 4 times, and 3 of those simply had to do with not being able to see a lever very easily... And the protagonist, April Ryan, I mean Kate Walker... well, let's just say that I started playing The Longest Journey for the 2nd time (I am not a big repeat gamer) immediately after finishing Syberia just because I felt lonely for April's humor, and humanity... I couldn't get attached to Kate for some reason.
This game just left me feeling empty and let down, and -literally- searching for something better to play!

Buy The Longest Journey or Darkened Skye instead! (mmm I could go for some Skittles even now...)
