Rating: Summary: Great Game! Totally worth the money! Review: Okay i read some of the reviews and find them rather unfair. True, the game has its ups and downs but the game is really fun and will make you want to go on to the next stage and the next and thus making you glue to your computer for hours! This game is great in a way, the graphic is good and the game is very entertaining, you can expect different things in every round and is no way repeative. What i love about this game is that it has so much for you to explore and when you play it for the second time and the third, you will find things that you didn't on the first go. It covers everything and contains parts that are missing from the film such as the potion making section. You can attend classes, discover secrets and live harry potter's life. You can also have a go at the Quidditch game and see that it is not as easy as you expected. However, the game is lake of something it would make the game better if the creator is to include the part where harry potter shops for his school items. As for me that is one of the highlights. I also think that they should let you pick your own character as not all of us has harry as our favorite character. The worst thing is that whenever you turn or move your mouse it will show you the area you're in from a different direction it is fun at first but after a while it will cost your head to spin. I loved the game and no its not too difficult and you do not have to use auto-jump if you actually know what you're doing. Its a must for all harry potter fans and if you know nothing about harry potter don't worry buy it and learn the story from the game. Great Game! totally worth the money!
Rating: Summary: Beware...if you are using a Mac with OS X Review: No fun: I cannot save a game. Ever. Or to be correct, a saved game cannot be reloaded - just produces a black screen. In other words you have to play the entire game at once! The not at all helpful support from Aspyr initially just returned standard comments (I am surprised they did not write back: "have you switched on your computer?") and eventually they just ignored me.
Rating: Summary: Send it back to the workshop Review: This game was a huge disappointment. It has little information, is incredibly repetitive and has things built in that almost insure your child will fail over and over again. The only way to successfully jump to/from/over in the game is to use the "auto jump". I am very sorry I bought this game for my child.
Rating: Summary: Over rated Review: Limited ability to save the game, very linear. Repetitive gameplay without much imagination. Jump here, use predetermined spell, go there, use spell and so forth. Not much puzzle solving required. My keyboard makes flying broomstick difficult. Graphics and voices are alright. What it might have been with less traditional game moves and more thought breaks my heart. I was very disappointed, it doesn't live up to the books. Like with the extras on the recent DVD release, more anoying than fun.
Rating: Summary: You play it once and you finish it once. Review: Harry Potter is a great book series, I love it, but this video game version of Harry Potter is just not as intense and creative as the book series. The gameplay is second person view, similar to the book, and you are Harry Potter going through Hogwarts or whatever places to have adventure. It is extremely boring after a while when you realize each level is no difference, except the enemies and display of environment. The graphics is not as wonderful as expected, sometimes you can find glitches of mistakes around the corner (horrible rendering). When I played this game I imagined myself in Hogwarts, but that was not how I felt. I felt more like in a prison or dungeon, with limits of exploring the castle and the atomsphere is not magical enough to convince me this is Hogwarts (where are those animated paintings and beautiful floating candles?) If you are age above 12, don't even bother to buy this game. Just rent it once and play it. I promise you that you can finish it in three days. It only took me a week to finish the game, and playing a little bit each day, and there is not much of animated sequence for you to watch. The only thing that was a bit fun is the Quidditch match, but it is also too easy. Nothing surprising or challenging. They could have made the game better.
Rating: Summary: I LOVE IT Review: IT IS GREAT FOR THE CHILDREN AND IT HAS MAGIC ASND IT IS CHALLENGING FOR AGES 5-13 IT IS REALLY INTERESTING TO PLAY AND IT IS JUST FUN TO PLAY OVER AND OVER AGAIN
Rating: Summary: AWESOME GAME!!! Review: I really REALLY enjoyed this game. The graphics were so imaginative and cool. And it was actually a challenge unlike some other games. (It is good for any age definitly!) I also love how you can explore everywhere! The Hogwarts Castle, the Grounds, Secret gardens, everywhere! I wish it never ended! But my point is that this game is definitly one of my favorites, it is sooooooo exiting. I love it!
Rating: Summary: Game for kids 7-11 Review: The sound is enjoyable for most kids. If your a good gamer you might want to get a more difficult game, most of the gameplay is slower than most action games. It is a perfect game for kids 7-11. You can learn spells, collect magic items and explore hogwarts. You play third person( you can see harry potters body) most of the game. Overal it is a very good game.
Rating: Summary: Good game! Review: ...It's awesome, but quite a challenge. I mastered the Quidditch part quite quickly, much to my surprise. I had watched my friend and it took her ages to get past it. I managed to finish the game (I was practically living with my friend) fairly quickly and then played it again! Definitely buy this, even if you're not a Harry Potter fan, because it rocks!...
Rating: Summary: Awesome Game and OK Graphics Review: The Harry Potter PC game is a very fun and challenging game. The graphics are OK for PC games. Sometimes you can see whats in a secret passgeway or Harry dissappers. In Quidditch the Snicth somtimes dissappers too. The people don't move there mouths either and they move there hands when they aren't talking. Everything but the things above are awesome! The challenges are quite, well, challenging. I reccomend that you have read the book and/or seen the movie. I also reccomend you are 8 years old or older.
