Rating: Summary: Long and time consuming Review: This game is pretty good, hard at some points, it seems like a big maze you just can't leave and you don't know if your going the right way, but maybe I just don't play enough games. It's extreamly long. Like at least 10 hours of playing. I liked it, overall, and I played twice. This is a great game for people who spend their days sitting on their commputer all day.
Rating: Summary: Okay... Review: this cdrom is okay, but installing takes forever and a WHOLE GIGABYTE! And, on my computer, the screen is blurry and I can hardly see. On my friend's, though, it works fine. But I don't really like this CDROM.
Rating: Summary: Maybe I'm too "old" but... Review: I thought this game was lots of fun! I grew up on Nintendo 32 bit games so for me this was a blast.. I don't invest a lot of money in games so this is a treat for me.. I found it challenging, only because I'm not good at computer games. I also found the story line of the book to be very interwoven in the game. But for those who play all the time, yep, you'd be bored. Me? I loved it..
Rating: Summary: Is a good game the same as an ''absorbing'' game ? Review: This game of Harry Potter is not a fantastic game but could be there. Its grafics are not the best but good indeed. It sticks to the Potter Books which gives an ''I'm Playing The Book'' sensation which makes you get absorbed by this game and not want to stop playing it. The one thing I criticate about this game is how short it is. I am Potter Fan, and felt astonishingly excited when playing. But a few hours later i was already killing Lord Voldemort. I hope the new released Harry Potter and CHamber of Secrets have better grafics and is LONGER than the first one.
Rating: Summary: Well..... Um.... Uh..... Review: I don't mean to be rude but this game is kinda bad. The graphics are blurry and the levels are pretty hard.If you don't like challenges, I recommend some other toy. I liked Chamber of Secrets for PC more.
Rating: Summary: Sorcerer's Stone Game Review: It's a fun game. It's different from the movie or the book but I still like it. You: play Quidditch, collect Berttie Bot's Every Flavor Beans, trade the beans, collect chocolate frogs, collect wizard cards, explore Hogwarts & cast spells. You still have to go to class though. It's a fantastic game.
Rating: Summary: Fun for children and adults Review: This game not only quickly captured the 7 - 9 year old, but their parents and older relatives. Very very good.
Rating: Summary: Fun, but... Review: Before I got this game last year I thought, "Harry Potter as a computer game could be interesting." It is interesting, in good and bad ways. First, don't expect the game to be like the book OR the movie. It's nothing like either. Once you get over that, it's pretty fun, but as an adult stategy gamer I found this game mostly simplistic fun. Kids would probably enjoy it more and not find it too frustrating. My main complaint is not with the game and it's play, but the poor quality put into the making of this game. The people move very stiffly and when they talk their mouths don't move...it's very weird to see people talking, yet not talking but bobbing their heads up and down. To me, it's seems as if the makers of this game did a rush job and didn't take much time to produce a high quality game, which is darned disappointing. True fans won't appreciate it. Also, what is up with the "Flipendo" spell? It's the first spell you learn and you use it ALL THE TIME! It got very boring after a short while and I would have enjoyed my game time much more if they had used a larger variety of spells. If this was just a regular game without a famous name I'm sure not many people would like it. But the name makes the game, in this case, and I couldn't help but have a fun time playing despite it's obvious faults.
Rating: Summary: This game is pretty COOL!!! Review: I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter and I strongly reccomend this game! It's the same as the book and the movie, though they did not include every part. Flying in broomstick practice and playing in quidditch is a blast! Quidditch is the exact same as in the book! They have all 14 players and all the balls. You get to attend lessons and learn spells, although in potions you only learn not to be late. You get to explore Hogwarts and Hogwarts grounds, the dungeon, and Hagrid's hut. You get to collect bertie bott's every flavor beans and wizard cards. Chocolate frogs give you health when your low. This game rocks but there is one thing I would like to change: I wish you could explore Hogwarts freely and the Gryffindor common room. I also wish quidditch was a tad harder because the only way you can lose is too run out of health, the opposing seeker will never catch the darned little snitch! The dungeon is cool and really scary!!! The bloody baron is hanging around and you have to get the potion ingredients. I give the music a billion stars out of five. Its excellent and matchs the magical/hogwarty backround. The end was to easy because it wasjust too redundant. You'd keep doing the same thing. Hogwarts grounds is really fun. Get this game! And I hope you beat the stuffing out of Slytherin in Quidditch! Don't look down or you'll barf out your insides!
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter Review: I am a HUGE fan of Harry Potter, and this game had its ups and downs. Yes the graphics need work, but I had fun with this game for a month or so. I think younger kids would really like this game because they might not mind the repitition. I wish I hadnt of wasted my money on it though. I got halfway through the game and gave up because it was just the same old thing after awhile (collect a wizard card, walk over some every flavor beans, shout FLIPENDO! at a rock) I give it three stars just because it's kinda cool to know that your favorite book has a video game.
