Summary: Great Game
Review: I've played WarCraft II for about five years and I got a little bord. So I started playing Diablo II, I played that for three years and it was fun for awile. Then came WarCraft III and it was like cake dropping from the sky (It was amazing). The cross between RPG and RTS is a great mix. The graphics are like the final ingritent to the cake, it made WarCraft III even better. If you by this game you will not regret it, it is worth every penny.

Summary: Disappointed
Review: I was a major warcraft 2 fan. Everything was cute (kawaii!!) and fun. i pre-ordered wc3 and was at the retail store 9am in the morning with others waiting to get my hands on this game. what a waste of [money]. i feel bad for those who bought the collector's edition [which costs even] more.

I have to admit, the graphics are pretty cool on wc3 but i don't really like the game. It has changed a lot. i like starcraft better. i'm waiting for the next starcraft (of course it's gonna come out oneday?) overall this game has good graphics but not fun when fighting. i like age of empires better (thats by microsoft not blizzard). well i'm gonna just say. don't waste u're money. that's all. i'm sure this wasn't helpful so... well bye!

Summary: Dont I own this game already?
Review: Let me preface my comments by saying that I prefer FPS Shooters to RTS games. That fact alone probably makes me too biased when judging games like Warcraft 3. However, when an RTS grabs my attention long enough, I give it a shot. The last RTS I played was Sacrifice, and it was tremendous. Warcraft 3 is not nearly that good. I suppose its a decent game, all though honestly, its just the original Warcraft with sexier graphics; nothing new at all. You won in Warcraft by producing enough units to overrun the enemy. No rocket science involved. In Warcraft 3 its the same thing. Produce more units than your enemy can handle and the game is over. The other great RTS that I own is Shogun Total War. If Blizzard could have made Warcraft 3 more like Shogun, they'd have produced a masterpiece. Instead, they spent most of their time on graphics vs substance. You don't have to believe my review, however if you play this game be advised; its nothing more than an old 30's era black and white film thats been colorized and re-released.

Summary: This Game is Just Bad!
Review: Despite what other people are saying (i don't see how it got 4 stars) this is just not as good as it was hyped up to be. First of all, it just doesn't have the replay value I expected. The missions all just blend together and, well, it gets boring quick. So, after I had exhausted the limited excitement availible in the single player mode I ventured onto .... I'm a fan of most other blizzard games and I thought this one must be focused for online play. I was however, sadly mistaken. Its online play was just plain pathetic. The only good games are many of the little custom games 3rd party people created for it. But, those didn't even have much to them. ...

p.s. it's slow

Summary: I've finally seen a game top Starcraft: Brood War
Review: Although seeming cartoonish and kiddy at first glance, this game is real time strategy at its best. Also, main reasons people criticize this game is that they've seen the commercial in the movie theaters and get stereotypical on it. They say, "Those beast guys have kilts so this game is stupid. I'm gonna go play Parrapa the Rapper 2 instead!." That is just an insult. Pathetic.
Visuals 5/5
Everyone is constantly dissing this game for it's beutiful visuals. I have never seen an RTS (real time strategy) game with graphics this good. The units glide across the screen with grace. Unlike in Starcraft: Brood war, the units aren't completely ot of proportion. In Brood War, the guy's head is bigger than his body. The spells aren't just all balls of light and balls of fire like in other RTS fantasy game.
Gameplay 5/5
The one thing that will have you truly addicted is the game play. (obviously). Unlike in Starcraft, if you play battle.net, you don't just play fastest map possible and other things like that. You actually learn how to play the game and have to find additional gold mines on the map to keep a steady income of gold. It's very interesting to go around a map and level up your heroes on the neutral units guarding gold mines and goblin laboratories. The battles don't take seconds with hundreds against hundreds like in Brood War.
Sound 5/5
I gave the sound rating a 5/5 because I just sort of like the sound. I wouldn't listen to it in my spare time but I think it goes fairly well with the game. I don't have many comments.
Replay Value 5/5
I don't really play the single player campaigns so I wouldn't know the replay value of those. But for battle.net I can play a normal game for two hours a day every day. I don't find it to get boring at all. It's a new strategy every time to find and perfect my knowldedge of the right strategy what units, buildings, and research to make and when. I still find better strategies day by day. It really is interesting.
Species 5/5
I definetely love the species in this game. They are absolutely perfect. They all vary and require different strategies and attacking times. There is not one unit, building, or upgrade that is the same between two species. In other game I have seen worse. (Age of Empires II).
overall 5/5
You should definetely buy this game if you want a fantasy and strategy game. Every aspect is supreme. I will never stop playing it. Ever. WHY ARE YOU STILL READING? GO BUY IT!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Bottom Line: This game is fun!
Review: I realize that many people have expressed disgust with this game for one reason or another, but the bottom line is that it has good graphics and is very fun, particularly in online multiplayer mode. With an editor you can use to build your own campaigns and maps, plus an unlimited stream of skilled people to play against online for free, this game will keep you nice and happy for months. I would highly recommend!

Summary: Will Not Run on Non-Administrator Accounts
Review: Beware: This program, like many other recent games, will ONLY run on an account that has administrator privileges on Windows XP or 2000. That means that in most common home settings, school settings, or in public facilities with shared computers most users will not be able to play this game. If you have configured your home PC, for example, so that only you can perform potentially damaging administrative operations and have protected it from accidental damage by your kids by giving them "limited" accounts (a recommended "best practice" you should certainly be following), your kids will not be able to play this game. Similarly, if you have configured computers in a school in the obvious way, with only certain staff given administrative access and all others limited to "user-level" access, then only the administrators will be able to play the game.

Note that although I agree with the general consensus that Warcraft III is an excellent game, my feeling is that it this limitation is a fatal one that should have been noted on the box (it is not) and thus I cannot give this product more than a single star, because it simply does not work in scenarios that it should be expected to work, and there are no warnings to this effect anywhere on the box or in the documentation.

Summary: Very good, yet, not THAT good
Review: As many people, I was a big fan of Warcraft, since I bought the Battlechest long time ago, so I was looking forward to the new part of the saga. As soon as I could I got the game, and after installing it, I had long hours of fun; however there are several things that keep this game from reaching perfection. First of all, it takes a lot of resources (I have 512 RIMM, so I didn't have much trouble, yet others with 128 will suffer while loading stages). Because of the amount of RAM the game needs, the number of characters that you can create is very little (up to 90), so there aren't any real battles like you could see in the classic Warcraft or Starcraft.
The game has a little bit of an RPG, since in every stage there's a special character (who can now be brought back to life) with a level that can go up in order to win new abilities; this character is much more stronger than a normal one, so battles are almost totally about him, since everyone else will die fast.
The game is very good though, the story is very good aswell, and the game will guarantee several hours of pure, old-fashioned, home grown fun. But if you want BIG battles, Starcraft, or even Age Of Empire are better for you.
Thanks, and Happy Gaming
