Rating: Summary: Not as hard as people say Review: I started playing the game yesterday and am 3/4 way through it already today. It's definitely not as hard as some people say it is but you cannot just mash the left-click button and hope to go through all the levels unscathed. There is a little strategy involved. First of all when surrounded, press on the parry button continuously - this will automatically block almost all attacks against you. Try to back away so as to have enemies facing you on one side only. Use a combination of left click, right-click. Right-click (or fierce attack) is a must against shielded ennemies. Against the bosses there's almost always a technique that's better than direct frontal assault that make them actually easier meat. And as for the King of the Dead level where you have to run to avoid being crushed by the falling boulders there is absolutely no timing involved. The rocks falling in front of you don't hurt you and are there just for show. You only die if you're not fast enough so just run forward like hell and don't stop anywhere and you should be ok. You might die a few times because you won't know where to go to next since the path curves around a lot but everytime you'll go a bit further and once you know the whole way it's piece of cake everytime. Trust me it's really not that hard. And actually this applies to pretty much all the levels - there's always a "right" way to do them so you will probably restart a few times until you find it but most of the time it's fairly easy to figure out. So there you go. My conclusion is that ROTK is a game without much depth but with great graphics directly taken from the movie, demanding a bit of patience but altogether not that hard to beat and decently fun - specially in coop mode. Get it if you liked the movies and are not easily frustrated by a bit of repetition otherwise avoid it.
Rating: Summary: Very Good Graphics Review: It has very good graphics, but you have to buy a video card to play it. I would Recommend The e-Gforce FX 5200. ... The Characters look very real. After you beat the Game you unlock Two New Levels to play so you don't forget about the game and just throw it away. Also you unlock Three Characters Including Faramir, Pippin, and Merry. I hope this review was helpful. !Thank you! for reading my review!
Rating: Summary: Great game! Except for one thing... Review: I LOVE the Lord of the Rings. I'm not a big collector, but I really, really like the movies. This game was exactly like it! There were real movie clips, real movie sounds and songs, and the actor's voices were also heard. It is definitely worth buying, however, the only bad thing is that you can't save the game. YOU CAN ONLY SAVE THE GAME AT THE END OF EACH MISSION, which can take a long time to complete. You can pause the game, and reach 'checkpoints' where the game is saved until you exit the game. Basically, once you reach a checkpoint, and die, you start from wherever that checkpoint. (As long as you don't exit the game.) It really is a great game, but you have to have it is only best when you have lots of time to spare.
Rating: Summary: Couldn't even play the game Review: This game seems really cool, but unfortunately my video card is not up to date. I just bought a brand new computer last year with the latest technology, but apparently it's not advanced enough for this game. Make sure you have the system requirements before buying this game!!!
Rating: Summary: Tips and Hints Review: I'm more a turn-based strategy and city-building simulation gamer, but this game is incredibly captivating and fun. Some people say it's difficult, but I finished it in a day and I'm not used to fighting/combat games, so it really isn't that hard. I think some people try to hack-and-slash their way through it when there are clever and safe ways to accomplish many goals. Here are some gotcha's that I found along the way: - Legolas is much faster than Aragorn or Gimli, and it's much easier getting combos off because there's less chance of being interrupted. Legolas defeats the Witch King with ease because he can get combos off on him, and can use arrows on him between his Wind of the Mountain attacks. - Legolas has the most useful Level 10 skill. He shoots 2 arrows per ranged attack. - Sam's special ability is invisibility. He's meant to use that ability against bosses that don't seem beatable, especially in Cirith Ungol. Also in that level, you can lure bosses under the falling ramp, go invis, and then pull the ramp level and kill them with one hit. - In Sam's Osgiliath level, you don't need to kill many orcs cause they don't follow you. Just keep running. Just because the orcs are there doesn't mean you have to kill them. - Using parry-killing move combos gets you to perfect mode immediately. And you are invulnerable while doing the killing move. - If you run to the opposite edge of the cliff when the Witch King summons his minions, they won't attack you, and you can pick them off with ranged attacks.

Rating: Summary: Will NOT work with ANY Intel graphics adapter Review: including the one built into a ONE MONTH OLD Dell Dimension 2400 computer. The game WOULD run, according to Intel's compatibility list, if the game program didn't purposely disable play in the absence of a specific but inessential hardware feature not present in ANY Intel adapter. Thanks for nothing to the drooling homunculus who wrote this imbecilic game software. Update: Intel has now evidently devised a way to make the game compatible with their adapters -- see this web page: http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/intel845g/sb/cs-007910-prd865.htm
Rating: Summary: How awesome is this? Review: This game simply amazed me. The cinematography had me in awe. I simply connot express how much I love this game!
Rating: Summary: a very, great game Review: This game is the second best game I have ever played(Madden NFL 2002). Before I give any details, I advise you to read these: 1. You must have a very fast computer(I advise I Pentium IV, like I have). 2. You must have a great graphics card. 3. I advise you to have a Joystick to play. 4. This game is extremely difficult. Here we go! I have read some of the reviews and they say that it takes 30 minutes to install. It took me 5 minutes to do it. When opening the game and starting a single player adventure you enter the introductery sequence, which takes you to Helm's Deep. Once you get there be prepared for some Uruk-Hai. Once you defeat Helm's Deep, you get to purchase upgrades for your character(Gandalf). After that you, go to the level select screen and then your game continues. There are three character paths, wizard, the hobbits, and the king. The graphics on this game are some of the best in the buisiness. You can also play in CO-OP(multiplayer), which is really fun. If you are up to the challenge, I advise you to get this game. P.S.- I am on the Pelannor Fields level.
