Summary: Hooray for creativity!
Review: This is an odd game for sure but it is so original. That's why I like it so much. Its fun to play and playing a game is supposed to be fun. This one is totally off the wall with talking reptiles and semi transparent people and some very weird puzzle logic. The river where you ride the canoe is broken and a maintenance guy has to come and fix it for you so you can float down to the next village. The whole maintenance idea in the game really broke me up too. There are also giant butterlies that supply the power in wind tunnels and stuff like that.

There is a lot of creativity put into it and that's what makes it work for me. It's one of those where you are either going to love it or hate it and probably nothing much in between, but if you like crazy and funny and don't mind thinking like a kid again this game delivers. I laughed all the way through this.

Summary: Surprises and makes you feel good
Review: This is not a hard game, but when you think something is going to be easy it may surprise you. So do the punchlines. I kept getting surprised when characters would say something funny when I wasn't expecting it. It is deceptive. There is a lot more going on here than you think at first. The canoe ride really caught me for a while, but thank goodness there is a strategy guide included. I found I needed it. But then once I read it I realized I probably could have figured it out if I had taken a little more time. That is really where the fun is. Give yourself a little more chance. You will be rewarded. It starts to look more challenging and then you figure it out and that makes it a lot more rewarding. This game made me feel good when I solved something. That's when you see some great animations to let you know you did it. I especially liked the giant condor bird and the butterflies. They were not like any other game I have ever played.

Summary: My Kind of Exploring
Review: This is not for people who like shooters or blowing things up. You can easily get lost in the jungle for a while if you don't keep track of where you have been. Then there are the 6 doors that all look the same. They have a beautiful butterfly pattern on them, but you have to keep track of which door goes to which room. I really like this kind of exploring. I haven't scene a game like this in years. Once you find your way around, then you have to have found the right inventory items and figure out where you need to use them. Some of these are hilarious. You are in for some surprises. Then you can also explore areas out of sequence which adds to the confusion. There are doors in the middle of nowhere that are dimensional portals. Let alone you keep looking for the same guy, well, at least he kind of looks like the same guy. Actually the Doc is different versions of himself in past lives. These can be funny too. One time he is in a gorilla suit, then he looks like a sailor from a corporate office and then he is locked up in something - but I don't want to give that away. If you like taking your time trying to figure out a whacky world this is the one.

Summary: Nutty but fun
Review: This is one crazy game like somebody from Mad Magazine would make. Everything is so weird and out there you can kiss logic goodbye and try to figure this out or you can just go along with it and have some really nutty strangeness. I enjoyed it. No new age atmosphere or lecturing for a change.

Summary: Save Your Money!!!!!!
Review: This is the very worst adventure game I have ever played. SAVE YOUR MONEY! For starters, it does not work on windows 98 unless you run media player first each and everytime. (It took me 5 days to find out how to get it working on my system, no help from the company web site) Second, it is just plain STUPID! The jokes on the game and the free walkthrough are so stupid I had to keep forcing myself to come back and continue to play. The only reason I continued was beacuse I had $20.00 and alot of time wrapped up in this game. If someone offers to give this game to you for free, save yourself the frustration and just refuse the offer. BAD BAD BAD

Summary: Pure Adventure
Review: Well I don't know about everyone else, but I love adventure games and Forever Worlds is a new classic. There are a whole bunch of puzzles and they are all different from anything else in other games. And they aren't just boards or decorations on walls that open doors. These are very unusual situations in a crazy fantasy world. You are taken over by an ancient shaman kind of character who lives in a magic tree. He makes you take his place. Then you have to look for Doc Maitland who has been caught in a series of dream dimensions. He always looks the same but different. One time he will be in a gorilla costume. Another time he will be in a beach house with all kinds of fishing stuff and some funny references to Moby Dick. That's why you are on an epic quest here in an unknown land. That's why I think this is such a pure Adventure game.

It is actually a pretty complicated story and the ending is interesting, but I think there are a lot of subtleties that could have been explored a little deeper. But the gameplay and graphics and video scenes make up for it. The butterfly world was my favorite part. I would have liked an entire game set in that world. But all in all, I really had a good time and recommend this for the pure gamer at heart. It is also something you don't mind recommending because it has nothing to embarrass your mother in it.
