Summary: Awful and disapointing!
Review: I bought this game thinking it was going to be like what was advertised on TV. I made a huge mistake. The game is much too short and too linear for my tastes. Even worse, they tell you how to beat the bosses and which way to go. Thankfully, a week later, I bought a game that was much better to fill the void left from Spider-Man 2

Summary: The good and the bad about "Spider-Man 2"
Review: I'll start with the "bad" - this game is short. Brutally short. It felt like it took less than four hours to finish, which is a disapointment considering that I've heard the console version is bigger and longer.

The other strike against it is, well, it's not the console version. Apparently, console gamers got the more immersive game that had been advertised. While you can go in multile directions in "Spider-Man 2", you cannot zip off to, say, the Statue of Liberty, mostly because of the game's linear nature.

The "good" about this game is more personal one. As a handicapped gamer, some games can be almost impossible to play with one hand (like the first Spider-Man for the PC). The keyboard/mouse combo made this game accessible to anyone who plays single-handed, and it was refreshing to be able to play without frustration. So there WAS a bit of fun to be had. (Thank you Activision)

This game had potential, and the fact that it's so different than the better console version really has me scratching my head. Why not take advantage of a PC's abilities?

Summary: Shame yourself Activision!!
Review: I'm a big Spidey-fan too and i'm 27 old....and i recommend any customer to DO NOT BUY this miserable cheap software, because it's a trash...meanwhile the console-society happily with the TRUE game,'cause it's like a Spidey-GTA...we have this and there is no hope from Activision to fix that HUGE mistake!!!

P.S.:i'm sorry, there is no ZERO stars:))

Summary: Great
Review: More like (-5) stars. Frankly Activision conned me with this game. Firstly you can't configure a joypad with this game and no where on the box does it say that. I assumed you could because on the first one you could conigure a joy pad. Secondly on the advert for the game it says "This time he can go anywhere" actually NOT! There is no freedom at all, you can't even swing where you want. Then the controls are pathetic, one button to do everything except jump or dodge/crawl which are two other buttons. Activision should be sued for misinformation. After playing this game I will not buy anymore Activision products.

Summary: WARNING! THIS GAME IS FOR KIDS
Review: Okay, here's the deal...

Spiderman II is pretty much awesome beyond belief.

The movie was unreal, perhaps the best comic-book movie since X2, no matter what some loser says.

It follows the storyline very well, but the problem is, all I wanted to do was swing around New York City. But the problem with that was, once I was tired of checking out the city, a place I visit almost daily, I wanted more. So, I played the story. And the story rocked!

See that? that's replay value at its best. The guys who put this together very effectively made things nice and pretty and its a lot of fun to understand what spiderman has to go through in order to manuever his way about Manhattan. Its in our hands! and its awesome! im a part-time gamer, so i didn't finish the game, but I love it so far. However, there is a formula that keeps this from being 5 stars. If you know how to beat a boss, its pretty easy. Once I figured out the Rhino's style, I trashed him like nobody's business. But Doc Ock was killer!

Summary: Check out the console or skip this all together
Review: Something to point out, I got stuck with the PC version of SpiderMan2, which is entirely different from the console version. From all accounts, the console version is a decent game. The PC version is so terrible, Fizz Factor should be run out of town on a rail (or forced to play this mind numbingly dull game until their eyes bleed). The movie tie-in is thin at best. Voice acting is phoned in. Camera controls swing around wildly. The dynamic 'free roaming city' the console game boasts is stripped down and completely run on a different 'swing engine' than the console. In this version, you have to find 'hot spots' on the walls to websling, or even more insulting, hit these random, floating webs that just hang in the air, but allow you to swing around corners and gain height. But they make no sense. 'Side missions' are tedious and unchallenging with the punch / kick combat that takes no skill whatsoever. And Fizz Factor actually thought making a 'speed course' to swing through (a rip on GTA speed courses, complete with glowing blue circles as checkpoints) would be fun. They are not. The only area that might have presented any kind of challenge would be the weak-ass bosses. But this game is so dumbed down, they show you, in a step by step diagram, exactly how to defeat the boss right before you fight them. Why don't you guys just play the game for me as well? I beat this in about 6 hours, and that's with liberal goofing off because the actual game got boring real quick. Check out the console or skip this all together.

Seriously, the whole movie to game franchise tie-in concept is always on shaky ground, you don't need crap factories like Fizz Factor bringing the genre down this much more.

Summary: Great game if you're a kid
Review: This game is for younger kids (rated E), not the same age group as the console version. It's for little kids. For little kids, it's a great game and just right in terms of how challenging it is--they have a great time with it. Not for older gamers, though--obviously it's too easy. They should get the console version. Don't know why Activision targeted two different audiences--maybe for more coverage?

Summary: Sucks.
Review: This game really sucks, I am huge Spidey fan and now I may not hear like one but if you want to buy this game think again.

This game is E it is supposed to be for everyone but I think that it is for 3 years old kids, I am 13 years old, and I think it is really easy and you can't use your gamepad the game is really short and you may not like to spend your money in stupid games.

Summary: Shocking to say the least.
Review: This game should never have been given to a mickey mouse organisation to design. Treyarch (the people who made the first one and the console version) should have made the PC version. This thing doesn't take full advantage of the power a PC has (far more than any of the consoles). It took me 4 hours with only minor setbacks to finish. If I hadn't had to redo some parts it would probably have only taken 2-3 hours. Terrible. The boss fights suck. The game tells you what you have to do to beat them. Kinda takes the fun out. Why? What have we (the PC Gamers) done to deserve this. And to say it was designed for the kids is not right. Kids could whup this thing. Also, if it was designed with younger players in mind, don't they realise most children out there are console children. Some probably don't know PC's can play games. Because that's all consoles do. Activision hang your heads in shame!
