Summary: Not very ... developer friendly
Review: I have been programming activex in NT for years. Each time I update the software, I have to reboot the server to release the object that already loaded in the memory. Even though I did a set object.close and set object = nothing, sometimes it didn't kill the process successfully. Other than that, I think NT is ok.

Summary: Fairly solid
Review: We have used this product for over 3 years and have been mostly satisfied with its performance. We are a shop that runs both a variety of UNIX platforms as well as NT 4.0. NT, while providing a nice graphical environment, still lacks much in the way of reliability and flexibility. Even for the seasoned UNIX user, NT's permissions can be some what cryptic. Record locking can be a real nightmare, often requiring the reboot of the server to release a record that has been locked. Still overall, it is a fairly solid performer.

Summary: Good Performer
Review: We use NT Server 4.0 now and have for about a year now. It has been a solid performer and we have very rarly had to shutdown. Usually when we do, it is because we upgraded something, added software or had hardware problems (IBM). There are a few features we would like to see such as better compatability with Win95 and a better messaging service as well as easier notes integration with Lotus Notes. But other than those things, We are pretty pleased.
