Shiva Access Manager (SAM) is a complete and robust solution for centralized remote-access authentication, authorization, and accounting. Whether you are using traditional Direct Dial or Virtual Private Networking (VPN) for remote access, Shiva Access Manager provides a single point of control for remote-access management. Shiva Access Manager provides user lists, security, and accounting for all of your business-access needs. Designed with flexibility in mind, Shiva Access Manager integrates seamlessly with common enterprise servers.SAM is flexible to fit any remote-access-device environment, and can perform up to 200 authentications per second nominally. It is customizable to enterprise and ISP environments through SAMScript SDK, and comes standard with embedded Sybase ASA SQL server. It also acts as an LDAP client. Complete CA Management means administrators can now access all Shiva CA/CA PRO functionalities via the SAM console, providing ease of administration and centralized management of VPN and dial-remote users. There is now 3Com RADIUS Extension Support: SAM's RADIUS protocol driver will be extended to support the 3COM extensions, allowing 3COM and US Robotics remote-access servers to use SAM. The LanRover VPN Gateway passes RADIUS attributes to SAM that can be easily managed via the GUI, which provides a single point of control for all remote-access users, management of one user list. You will have the ability to import existing Shiva user lists and/or any other standard RADIUS or UNIX user lists, saving time and eliminating the risk of typing errors.
