Rating: Summary: The Ultimate Doom: Thy Flesh Consumed Review: The Ultimate Doom: Thy Flesh Consumed is amazing. Honestly, I don't see the difference between The Ultimate Doom and Doom as many of its levels are similar. I admit it, the graphics are boxy, but it was a breakthrough in those times when it was released probably 8 years back or so. The Ultimate Doom's divided into 4 episodes: Knee-Deep in the Dead, Shores of Hell, Inferno and Thy Flesh Consumed. I play Knee-Deep in the Dead a lot though, and I know it the best. The guns are fine, and there are plenty of places to stock up if health's low and the cheats aren't on. The monsters are the usual, though I always spare lovable-pink-monster-with-white-horns. Most of these monsters or aliens, kill each other as soon as they spot you, except Pinky, the Barons of Hell and these fireball-throwing imps. The texture of these levels are pretty good. Though not sinister, they are pretty forbidding which makes it a bit eerie being there, but I'm learning fast. Also, the techno music gives good company, but it especially sets the atmosphere in the last level of Knee-Deep in the Dead.
I highly recommend this First Person Shooting game if you just want to experience the thrill of the ride, though of course it's nothing compared to Doom 2 and 3.
