Summary: Great Golfing Fun!
Review: Aloha,(1.25mhz G4 PM, 768 MB, 10.2.6, ATI Radeon 9000 Pro, and the Tiger Woods 2003 1.1 Update) This is a very good game, and an exceptional golf title. I've had the game about a week and have really enjoyed playing it. The graphics for the courses and players are very well done, just beautiful, and give you a good feel of being at a PGA event. Medium settings give me 35-40 fps, high settings bring it down to about 20. Pretty good, could be a little more smoothe, yet that's the trade off (I guess) for getting lots of eye candy and truly stunning looking courses. At Peeble Beach you can see the ocean spray wafting up from the beach as you play, awesome! ---------------------True Swing is an innovative method of play that gives you a better feel for the game than the traditional 3 click approach. Takes some getting used to, but once learned, adds a whole new dimension to the computer golf genre. --------------------TW 2003 offers a wide variety of play, which keeps things interesting. --------------------I have two main complaints, and one minor, which cost it one star:1) Even with my fairly modern system, I was disappointed that I can't enable the "clouds" and "rain" graphics options. It gave me "animated trees", "fog", "shimmering water" and "golfer's shadow", but no rain and clouds! Aspyr should post a list on their website that notifies customers about the limitations of various graphic cards. This not something I should find out after the sale. ---------------------------2) As I said, I really like this game and have played a great deal this past week. It is generally very stable. However, twice the game has froze and I had to force quit. This is something that is very rare in my Mac experience. I'm someone who religiously runs Mac Janitor, Repair Permissions, and Disk Warrior, thus I'm left to believe they didn't do all they could to ensure a perfectly stable game. Yet this has to be put in perspective, I've played many many hours between the force quit experiences. I would say it's "90%" stable. -------------------------3) I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the chipping situation yardage is off. For instance, it will say there's 20 yards to the hole and that my pitching wedge has a max distance of 22 yards. That implies that an almost 100% hit is the correct shot. Yet it seems even a 50% hit will send the ball zooming way past the hole. Maybe I just can't chip (g), but it has forced me to not rely on the chipping stat info and instead go on feel, which is more like real golf anyway. ------------------------Overall, this is a really really good game, the best golf game I've ever seen and golf games are my favorite type of video game. Hours of challenging, non-violent fun. And I don't mind the "slightly" low frame rates given the visual beauty of this game. Buy it, and you'll see why Mac World gave such a high rating!

Summary: Fantastic!
Review: Just started playing the demo version of this game. It is the best golf game I have played on the Mac or any other platform. The graphics are fantastic, and I can't stop playing. Can't wait to have the full version.
