Rating: Summary: Fast-Paced Awesome Game! Review: This Game Is GREAT! This Fast-Paced Game Has New Features Like B-I-N-G-O, Road Kill And More. Has Hosts The Can Take Over The Game In The Beginning (Every Like 16 Games). You've Gotta Play This Game!
Rating: Summary: dont buy this game Review: This game was so vulgar. Very inappropriate. I thought it was a trivia game but all they do is call you names and say bad words. Don't waste your money.
Rating: Summary: Some improvements, Some not Review: This game, I cannot tell you how much joy it has brought to my life. I started off with YDKJ TV because I am a TV buff (I'd like to think) and then as soon as I did every possible question in that series I saw they came out with a You Don't Know Jack THE RIDE, and I said to myself..random trivia could be interesting. I did not KNOW what I had in store for myself. This game is nothing compared to Vol. 1, 2, 3, Sports, TV, Movies, Offline, Louder! Faster! Funnier! (I've played them all), the nice people over at Jellyvision seemed to have hit a high note on this one. The RIDE is the epitome of what all the Jack games should represent; Funny, inventive, and different from the previous Volumes. I would buy this game for anyone who loves to laugh and be challenged with great trivia. I already bought THE RIDE for a friend and he hasn't stopped thanking me! This game is wonderful.
Rating: Summary: The Best Of All The Jack Series Review: This game, I cannot tell you how much joy it has brought to my life. Rating: Summary: Anti-Climax Review: This one is definately the best of the Jack series, and if you're going to buy one this is it. The only problem is that with the themed shows there are only so many questions they can ask as opposed to the original Jacks where they just took the left over questions and asked them the next game. Plus, you can't choose your own category, it's totally random this time. Also, throughout the game there are hints that you're almost at "The Bottom" of the elevator. Let me give you a hint, there is no bottom. I got so ticked off at them for giving me a false reason to continue playing that I haven't bought another Jack product since.
Rating: Summary: Most different in the JACK family, The best one. Review: YDKJ4 The Ride is a great example of gaming, it solves old problems that the previous games had such as looping questions, and keeps the game still true to it's roots and feel of sarcastic, no holds barred trivia that will keep anybody entertained. Old question types are gone (no impossable question :-( ) But there are some new ones such as the RoadKill which is the best one now. There are easter eggs galore in this game and it is IMPOSSIBLE to find them all in the first go through. Replay value is high as well as the fun. The game is at a good low price for you to get a hold of, and not make you lose your shirt. If you like biting comedy and wild trivia, this is a MUST! One last piece of advice--when you eventually get to the bottom, that ending 2 option, save it for last, and I'm not saying why.
Rating: Summary: What A Rush! Review: YDKJ: The Ride breaks the mold of its predecessors with a whole new goth/techno look! New games like Roadkill (which is almost too similar to Jack Attack) and Jack Bingo are great. All of the hosts are back, but Buzz is only limited to a few cameos. The Elevator Lady also stars in the game, messing with your name and commenting on the time, day, etc. While some may not like the new look or the loss of choosing the category, YDKJ: The Ride is the best the series has had so far!
Rating: Summary: Better than watching TV Review: You Don't Know Jack: The Ride is, to anyone familiar with the others, both similar and different. Similar in that the same slightly off-humor-yet-intellectually-stimulating manner continues, different because of the game setup. Thirteen-question "shows" of a (loosely) related topic make up each game, and references to questions answered before are common, giving it a strange sense of continuity. Not every topic is a hit, but it's still pretty good. And while the humor is definately "adult," that's not necessarily the same as "obscene." In fact, the fine line between sarcasm and hostility is danced upon so often it makes for a fresh dose of comedy each play. New games--"Bingo" and "Roadkill" are also surprisingly fresh. (Though I liked the Threeways from Jack 3, which are not included; apparently the only person who enjoyed them was me.) I also miss the fiber optic field trips, which are also missing. But these might only clog up the game, which is smooth and clear. The graphics and sound are simple yet pleasing, and the cycling-host concept was played up to an enjoyable level. About the only gripe i have is the score selection process, where different values and categories flip quickly pass, and its two shades away from random what you end up with. I enjoyed picking my own topic in the old games. To veterans, The Ride offers something different, not necessarily better or worse. If you enjoyed the other games, you'll enjoy this. Even if you felt like the formula was getting tired by YDKJ3, this might pick you up again. For those who have never played this before, it's worth buying to find out, though picking up a cheap copy of YDKJ1 in the bargain bins first might save you some cash. I doubt it, though; it's an addictive franchise.
