Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: This is the type of game I usually look for, challenging to my mind but non violent. I strongly recommend this. Strongly.
Rating: Summary: A wonderful adventure... Review: This is what a proper adventure game should be. There's a mystery to solve, a secret past to discover, even a maiden to save! There is also no swearing, no blatant sexual themes (although the scantily clad woman on the cover of the box might suggest otherwise), and very little gore. What made this game so much fun was the uniqueness of it all. You're an explorer out to discover the legacy of his lost father and discover a ship trapped in the ice. The ship is inhabited by odd spirits and dreams of people long dead, and it's your job to find out what happened and set the dreamers free. The acting in this game is very good as are the graphics in the game. The characters are easy to believe (instead of looking like disinterested hacks reading from scripts) and the story rapidly swallows your attention. If you love a challenging adventure game with a deeply involving plot you'll adore Morpheus.
Rating: Summary: A perfect mix. Review: What would you get if you crossed "The Shining" with "Titanic", Agatha Christie with Jules Verne, & "Phantom of the Opera" with "Lost Horizon"? You just might get Morpheus, a spooky, atmospheric game set aboard a luxuriously-appointed ship frozen in the arctic ice. The ship is deserted (or is it? there are several locked doors), but ghosts appear from time to time, & a story begins to form. Someone needs to be rescued, & in order to do so, you must first enter the worlds of the dreaming ghosts & set them free. Beautiful graphics, challenging (but not diabolically so) puzzles, interesting sound effects (do I hear voices echoing off the walls, or is it just the wind?). The enigmatic ending came a little too soon, & you'll need a patch (avail. from the mfr's website) to eliminate the bugs. Otherwise, it's (to quote Mary Poppins) "practically perfect in every way".
Rating: Summary: A true chiller! Review: Wow! What a surprise! A relatively low priced game which in my opinion competes evenly with some of the more expensive ones. There are many puzzles to solve....some easy, some more challenging, but not so challenging as to be frustrating. Great plot and character development. Music and graphics were excellent. A haunted ship with a whole cadre of ghosts with stories to tell. What could be better? No ghouls. Just good fun. Even a bidet!
Rating: Summary: The Strangest Journey Review: Wow, I really don't know what to say about Morpheus (Does anyone even know why it was called that? The ship was the Herculania?!)It was a little too sci-fi for me. Some of the puzzles were too contrived and at times it was extremely frusterating because I had no clue what was going on. I just didn't know what to do! Belle, Billy and Grace's worlds were great, but Leo's was too strange, and poor Muffy! (Muffy's tag was found at the butchers. Guess why it was found and Muffy was not.) The graphics were luscious, but all togher, I'm not sure if it was worth my money. Would I recommend this game? Well, not to anyone with XP, for me, it didn't work too well. After reading the raving review from JustAdventure, I was positive that I would enjoy it, but after playing it, I'm positive that I would have rather wasted my time on something else. I wanted a game with a ship, not sure why, but I did. Titanic Adventure Out Of Time was more my price range, but I now see the error of my ways. If you like Adventures, try some worth-while ones like Syberia, Beyond Atlantis 2 or The Longest Journey! Spare yourself!
