Summary: Well worth the wait
Review: After the long anxious wait, I finally have Diablo 2, and having completed the first Act, I am blown away by the depth and vast improvements this game holds over its predecessor. The original game had the magic of being somewhat simple in its scope (hack and slash your way, level by level) yet being completely addictive and plain fun. They haven't veered from that at all with Diablo 2, yet they've added so many new elements to it. The new character classes all have their own skills and abilities, far more so than the original 3. You can specialize in various offensive and defense skills and magic as you progress up the ranks. There are countless new weapons and items to find, and much more diversity in their types.

The graphics aren't leaps and bounds ahead of the original, but they nonetheless are beautiful. The second Act, in a Middle-Eastern type desert region, is breathtaking.

If you enjoyed Diablo, it's a no-brainer that you'll love the sequel. It's a clean, well-designed product with great graphics and complex yet easy-to-understand gameplay.

Without a doubt, it was well worth the 3 year wait.

Summary: One of my favorite games!
Review: Let me first say, Diablo may be over 10 years old, but its still great for hours of enjoyment! My boyfriend owns the game and turned me onto it, and WOW! I couldn't believe how great the graphics were for such an old game.

The story line rocks as well. You have to journey to the depths of hell to kill. Diablo has escaped from hell and is destroying the town. You get to choose from three types of characters to complete your quest: the Warrior, Rouge, or Sorcerer.

The great part about this is that once you beat the game, you can try the other types of characters.

Love the story and the game! Highly recommended!

Summary: Still great after all of these years
Review: I dusted this off a little while ago and played through it again. It's still one of the best games ever, espcially if you put "Hellfire" on it.

Summary: The best that Blizzard has made
Review: Think of the word Diablo and everything associated with it. Now take that and multiply it by 100 and you wouldn't even come close to how creepy and evil this game is. You can play three classes: the brave, tough warrior, the steathly, deadly rogue, or a wise, powerful sorcerer. (If you are a person that practially faints when you see blood or gore, STOP READING NOW BECAUSE THIS GAME HAS A LOT OF IT! e.g. when you kill a zombie the innards kinda erupt from the body and splat on the floor.) This game is not for the fainthearted and to the brave, I'd advise you to save a LOT. Be prepared for the levels to not be spick and span when you first enter it. Decapitated bodies, bodies impaled on spikes, blood on the floor and walls, and other gruesome details intesify the dark Gothic atmosphere of this game. Plus, whatever gore or blood that splates on the floor when you kill something stays there. It doesn't decay or vanish, like in other (cough; wimpier; cough) games. The climax of it is when you enter the Butcher's "kitchen" which is a bit disturbing with blood, organs, body parts on the floor. Speaking of the Butcher, be prepared to get really mad because you'll die like 10 times before you beat him. Overall, the game is really fun and a fresh surprise each time because the game randomly generates each level (with new monsters, lights, shrines, blood...) when you start a new game.
Honestly, I don't see why this game is rated M. :)

Summary: Awesome Game
Review: This game is fantastic. I play it non-stop everyday, several hours a day. This game is incredible! The detail in it, the characters, the monsters, the stuff you can find, and everything else all add up to a superb game with good graphics, immense playability, and vever-ending fun.

The multiplayer Battlenet is great, too. Me and a friend get on it all the time and fight to defeat the forces of Darkness and Hell save the land (which appears to me to be Britain[Griswold, Ogden, Gillian, ect...])

You must try this game. You simply must. You won't be dissapointed.

Summary: Awful...awfully repitative
Review: This game caught my interest at first as I walked around the town talking to its inhabitants of 20 people, getting to know each and every one of them, and then embarking on my first quest.

But my interest quickly fell through. All it is is going into one room, killing people, going into another room, killing people, and there's only one attack that you can really do unless you're a wizard...and you don't want to be one because they die quicker than a red shirt on "Star Trek." And I got tired of hanging around the same damn areas for what seemed like a millenium each.

Overall, I'm sorry I wasted $10 on this thing.

Summary: Groundbreaking but dated...
Review: This was an outstanding game in it's day. When I bought this game, I had never seen anything like it and played it for countless hours...

Diablo 2 came along and improved on everything that made the original Diablo great. It also added countless features that you never knew you were missing from the original. Little things like the ability to run can make all the differece in the world.

This was a wonderful game when it came out but I would recommend buying Diablo 2 instead.

Review: To tell you the truth I've never actually played on RPG before. However everyone around the office insisted that I play this game. So I did. From the first few levels that I played I got increasingly addicted to this the farther I fought in level 1 this game is random generating random (random objects, quests and random locations of monsters.

I started this game on Warrior on single player. (trust me, single player is a lot harder, longer, and freakier.) Every character class has pros and cons. Warrior is the strongest, meanest, and has the most hp. However his magic sucks. Rouge is a female archer that speciality is the Bow and her accuraccy is sky high although her damage is not as high as warrior and magic is not match for scorceror. Finally scorceror, this guys speciality is magic. But has low hp and strenth. When you get to a certain number of expeariance points, you gain a level up. In addition to that, you get plus 5 to all attributes. With my warrior, I kept along the walls of the dungeon to avoid getting surrounded. The level design is very mazy and tricky-thanks to the automap, without that I would have gotton lost often. Without the automap, I would have had taken away 10 points on the final score. Every four levels the walls maps etc. changes dramatically. Dungeons, catacombes, caves, and finally hell where you get to kill diablo. Also in every four levels is an entrance so you dont have to make it though all the 16 levels one by one-if that happens that would be very maddening. But still it's a long way down the levels, thats why you have town portals. I slashed, stabbed, and occasionaly shoot the skeletons with a bow on these levels. When I got to level two I had to fight the Butcher. When I first fought him I died after he him me just 8 times. When I loaded up the game, I went to "the dark passage" to gain expeariance points and level up. I focused on vertality and strenth because I wanted to fight him head on. I finally killed him once I got a lot of full-healing potions. After fighting my way though all of the dungeon levels, I went down to level five and to the catacombes. As I said earlier this game is random generating, so I can't get the Armor of Valor. I got the Magic rock and the chamber of the bone however. I gave the rock to Griswold the blacksmith and he gave me a ring in return. As I got to the caves, I found the broad axe, which eventually became my weapon of choice. Axes sacrifice defense for offence so you lose your shield, so you would have to say to yourself "Humm is this really worth it?" Well for me it is because it causes a lot of damage. Later, I got more and more powerful axes. Then I was on the Black Mushroom quest. I bought the fungal tome I found on the ninth level to Adia in to which a large black mushroom will now appear on the ninth level which should retrive for Adira. She will then tell you about a demon brain and the next creature you kill will porvide me witha brain. I went down do the caves again brought the brait back to Pepin the healer and he gives me a special elixir. I went back to Adira and she does not want it! This is one of the most insulting quests ever. As I made my way through the caves. I fought in "the hell" levels. Where the meanest bada*s monsters are from. I especially hate the Blood Knights they are so fustrating and annoying. These S.O.Bs tend to always come in groups. Sorrounding me and killing me. Worst of all they trapped me into the corner and I acidentally saved it. I have lost the friggin single player! Blizzard sould have made multiple saves. I almost fainted from the unbelivable fustration.

There is still hope. Later that day I started Multiplayer as a Sorcerer (I wanted to try something new.) But ment being all the way to level 1. Single player and Multiplayer are not connected in any way whatsoever. I like the Multi Player much more. (single player is still very good to my opinion.) Four players on the server and luckly, A really nice guy on multiplayer gave me a boost. he gave my an aumlet and two rings to send my Strenth, Accuraccy, Magic, Vertality, to the limit. We always stick together for the safety we fought though every level. Although I can' go to the entrance directly because my levels was not high enouth. That guy sent me town portals so that I can go directly to the group huddle so we can fight together. Then as we went down to the last levels. Things got really tough. Fighting Archbishop Lazarus in paticular. He got killed in 1 hit. Then me and the other guy tried to rescue him. I was down! I was down for about ten mintues until He got be back to life. Together we defeated archbishop Lazurus. Then as we got to level 16 we, fought the lord of all evil, diablo. He was sorrounded by the Blood knights and advocates. (yeah we killed these people too although they have teleport attacks!) nice try but we killed you first. Finally we ganged up on diablo and defeated him. I will always remember the multiplayer expeariance and how fun it was. From now on I'm going to be a big fan of roleplaying games.

Ups: Good graphis, gameplay, story, random generation of items and quests.Endless fun on multiplayer

Downs: The inventory is tiny and the singleplayer expeariance is not as good as multiplayer. A connection between the single player and multiplayer would be nice. Narrow diversity of the maps and the sorrounding walls.

Bottom Line: I love the fact that you get to choose special items, quests, weapons, and spells. It revolutionizes the history of gaming because it's the first game for random generations. This game is a must-buy.

If I had to give it a score from 1-100 I would give it a 93/100

Summary: Diablo is not an RPG, it's trash
Review: ...I'd like to know what those people at Blizzard were smoking when they labelled this RPG.
You select from 3 classes - only three! Fallout, released at about the same time, has a classless system where you could create hundreds of different characters from the start. Apparently the folks at Blizzard thought three classes would be enough. It isn't.
So you pick the class - et voila you are finished. The game picks all the statistics for you. It then gets even worse.
You are then dropped into a boring village called Tristram. You explore around a bit, and fid that your character cannot talk. You find that you cannot go into people's houses and steal their goodies. But it gets even worse...
Overall, this game is flawed, I don't even consider it an RPG. Not to mention just how boring and repetitive it is. The single player campaign is only about 30 hours long, bur I still congratulate you if you had gotten through it even once. Not to mention that multiplayer is full of hackers and cheaters who don't do anything other than ruin your character.
To sum it up: Diablo is trash.
Goodbye.
