Summary: well done
Review: If you are serious about playing Diablo II, you cannot miss out on the expansion pack. Two new characters--Druid and Assassin--as well as a whole new act to defeat. Added items and a (much) larger stash are bonuses as well! This reviewer would be lost without her Assassin, and I think Act V is one of the best acts in the game. It's a great place to level (with interesting/fun quests) and find unique/rare items--what better way to build up your character before taking on Baal? Again, I cannot stress how much this expansion adds to the enjoyment of the game. Once you play with the expansion, you'll never go back to regular Diablo II again. I promise.

Summary: Great Game -- Unappreciated on Battlenet
Review: I had never played Diablo; however, I was a huge Warcraft fan. This gave me a great impression of the folks at Blizzard. D2 and the Expansion Pack both live up to that impression.

The graphics are cool; the action is interesting; and the multiple difficulty levels make sure that, unless you're a hacker, you don't advance out of the challenge until the highest levels (75+).

The biggest downfall of D2 is multiplayer on BattleNet. It can be very laggy, and getting dropped is VERY frustrating. The thing is, though: It's Free! Rather than plopping down [money]/year, you can play online whenever you want. Blizzard has done a decent job with BattleNet, but most people who hop online do little more than complain about it. I'd like to see the server up-and-active 100% of the time without lag, just as much as the next guy or gal, but with 1/4 million people on pretty much at any given time, problems DO occur.

Despite the multiplayer issues, the game is great. Loads of fun. I've been playing since D2 first came out, and I have YET to tire of the game.

Summary: GREAT GAME! BUY IT FOR SURE!
Review: This is a great game.I played it first at my moms friends house and I was hooked!I was stunned by its unique graphics and the best selection of characters I have ever seen!It is WAY better then the first diablo game. You can choose up to seven characters all with their own differnt skills and stats. You can chose to be either a Druid, an Assasin, a Necromancer, a Barbbarian, a Sorceress, an Amazon, and a Paladin. My highest level character is a Druid.I am at level 25 and have killed miphisto. The controlls are really handy and easy. You can even make youre guy talk and say die! and also help me!.If you really like long d and d games this is a game for you!

Summary: An imoprovement on a great game
Review: Diablo 2 is a great game. This expansion makes it better. The larger stash is great. The two extra characters are awesome. Runes are a lot of fun.

But more important, in my opinion, are the updates to the hirelings. Before, they could add a little firepower, but were weak, took forever to level up, and just when you did, they DIED. And then you have to start all over. The expansion takes care of a lot of that. First, you can now arm your hirelings. This means they can do more damage, and can take basic armor as well. This goes a LONG way to keep them alive. And if you do slip up once in a while, you can now REVIVE them for a cost. Well worth it, now that they become a real member of the team. To finish this off, you can choose to keep the hireling as long as you want. You can take your rogue hireling from Act 1 all the way to Act 5 if you want to. You can get a higher-level barbarian when you get there.

There are a lot of great new things about this game, and the expansion helps to make it easier to use, as well as more fun. Recommended for anyone with Diablo 2.

Summary: Amusing, for a Little While
Review: The Diablo II LOD expansion fits perfectly in the Diablo II storyline, and adds several extremely useful features such as an increased stash size and runes. I can't really picture playing Diablo II without it.

Unfortunately, this expansion does nothing to improve the playability of the game. The action is still repetative and boring, and the game in general still lacks any sort of replayability.

In short: if you liked Diablo II, go for the expansion. If you didn't, the expansion probably won't save it for you.

Summary: Get it while you're still young
Review: In not too many words: This is an awesome and captivating game, but too addictive, you'll spend hours and hours.
Forget about your studies and work, you'll go to bed exhausted of playing, then you'll start seeing it in your dreams!!
Very elaborate and non-ending game play, get it now because you're gonna spend a lot of time with it, and it's not seemly to be a middle aged person playing Diablo!!

Summary: Think Twice
Review: I think the Diablo II Expanion killed diablo, all anyone does is have a friend or pay someone else to rush them(beat all the bosses for them) then lvl up doing the not so secret, secret cow lvl. Very, very few people actually take the time to play through the entire game.

Thanks

Summary: disappointed
Review: bought it, played it for about 40 hours of game time, went back to classic. LOD is just too equipment driven, you can build a high level char, but if his equipment is not godly, he's no better than the NPCs. I do like the new resolution, but it seems a lot of money to be able to play classic at 1024X728.

Summary: To buy or not to buy
Review: Ok if you want to buy diablo 2 dont buy this. buy the battlechest because if your planning on playing on the internet you need to have the expansion.
