Summary: Some features should have been in the original
Review: Needless to say, Blizzard has followed up their flagship game with this expansion. Now that its gone gold, I can't wait for Amazon to ship out my full copy! While I like the new characters, runes, and highlands, some features really should have been included in the original like increased stash size and siege towers etc.

I don't need to say how good the expansion is. The 2 million plus pre-orders speak for themselves. A note for the users that think that Blizzard is conspiring to force buyers to buy the expansion. They have gone on record saying that some big errors were made in the 1.08 path. The main one being that the monster levels for expansion crept into classic D2 and hence the monsters seem invincible. They will be releasing another patch in a few weeks to fix that. In fact a newer version of the 1.08 patch on their site fixes some of their errors.

Summary: Diablo II: Lord of destruction
Review: Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, is a major improvement on Diablo II. It has increased stash sizes, thousands of new weapons, and a bunch of new quests. Now it is harder for high lvls to ... enemys. Diablo II was a fun game, and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction is an even better game.

Summary: Don't Listen To Stupid People.
Review: Just a bit of good advice.

Let's get a few things out of the way. First of all, Diablo II is not an RPG. If you're looking for a game like Baldur's Gate, Planescape: Torment or Fallout, look elsewhere. Diablo II is an excellent action game with RPG elements, and if what you're looking for is a hack-n-slash with varying levels of complexity, endless replay value and a huge internet following, this is the only game you'll need.

I've been beta testing the expansion, and to me the jump from Diablo II to D2X is similar to the jump from Diablo to Diablo II. This is a very good thing. The expansion totally refreshes the game, adding new items, new item types, new magical properties, two new character classes and an entirely new act.

This new act is about the length of Act 2, and I feel it is by far the most gripping and interesting act in the game. It picks up right after Act 4, and makes an excellent transition from Act 4 normal to Act 1 nightmare, or Act 4 nightmare to Act 1 hell. The areas are interesting, varied, beautifully drawn and populated by new and creative monsters. High quality items are dropped and experience is so high it's an ideal place to level up till you're ready for that jump to the next difficulty level.

With all the new magical properties and items, there are vast new equipment possibilities. You will now need to make decisions between certain properties including 'charges' of a class's skills usable by any class, self-replenishing throwing weapons, and armors that cast a spell when you're struck.

If you need a new cyber addiction, Diablo II and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction is the first and last game you'll need for a long time.

Review: This is an RPG where you start out as one of 5 Character classes, you then venture off into the wilderness where you will meet enemys of all shapes and sizes. While fighting (and hopefully conquering) the monsters, you gain EXP wich then can eventualy be put towards Your character's Damage inflicted, defense, Life, energy, and a new skill that they can perform using up energy as they do it.

Review: I think this game rocks because I like strategy and action games like this one. I recomend this game to everyone to buy it. At first I didn't like it, but after you play it a couple times it gets a little adicting meaning it makes you play it alot. I think the expansion pack is going to be really good and I can't wait till it comes out!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Did they have to mess with the original to release an XP?
Review: Ok first things first. I loved Diablo II. I was awestruck by how cool the plans for the expansion (XP) looked. If you choose to play the XP, I'm sure you won't be too dissapointed (unless you expect Blizzard to fix Battle.net). Then I found out the price. [price] for an EXPANSION!!?? That's only $10 less than I paid for the full version original. An expansion for a game that provides one extra act of gameplay, and two more character classes should NOT cost 80% of the original game. Ok fine, so I decide not to buy the expansion, a bit disappointing but no big deal, because Blizzard promised us that we'd still be able to play the original version as long as we didn't convert our characters over. WRONG! If anyone has seen the 1.08 patch for Diablo II released yesterday(which I might add you have no choice about downloading) it is now nearly impossible to solo in Hell difficulty with any character class. They have made changes that were not supposed to happen until the XP "in preparation". Only one problem...most of the changes they made were to add some of the challenges that the XP will bring (such as unique monsters with full immunity to certain attacks, and life leech not working at all on some, or as well on most enemies), and they haven't given us the tools (such as runes, jewels, etc) that will offset these challenges in the XP... thus making Hell difficulty nearly impossible for a normal character.

Review: ...

For one, the correct class weapons are:
Necromancer-Totems Barbarians-Helms Paladin-Shields Amazon-Bow Spears, Javalins Assassin-Katars Sorceress-Orbs Druid-Helms
Jewels arent like gems, they have magical mods (prefixes and suffixes) instead which just get given to the item they are socketed into.
Only certain things can have 6 sockets, not everything, and uniques and rares can only have 1. And still no boots/gloves/belt/jewelry sockets.
A bunch of the names of runes he gives are wrong.
Most charms are 1x3 or smaller, none are larger.

Glad i could help :) as far as my opinion of the game (or expansion)... well of course it rocks

Summary: Amazing
Review: The game Diablo 2 is so cool you get wide range of characters consisting of sorcerres, Barb, paladin, necromancers, and Amazons{personally my favorite}. This is so much better than Diablo 1 because the character selection in Diabo 1 only only consisted of 4 charcters. The whole point of diablo 2 is to defeat Diablo and keep the portrals of hell closed. In the game you get a wide range of equipment, from daggers to silks of the victors, the best armor in the game. One good thing about this game is that if your stuck you have many characters within the game to help you such as:Charsi, Gorion, Jamella, Farsi, and tyrel the light angel. The game is broken up into section or realms where you have to complete different task in order to past that realm. As I said if you are stuck talk to people that is the best way figure out your problem. I defently reccomend this game because it icluded all my favorite items, wizards, knights, dragong ect.. If you enjoy mystical knights and creatures this is the game for you. Most of all have fun this is a great game!

Review: I have the beta (lucky me) and it kicks ... . My only complaint is that it is almost the same except for a few minor (except for the two new characters and act 5) changes.
