Summary: Great concept and Great game
Review: Diablo II is not the most fun game in the world. After playing it for over an hour I and other people I have asked, tended to get bored. The one thing it is though is incredibly addictive. The quest to gain new skill points and especially items is nearly impossible to resist, even after you've beaten the game multiple times. I would have given this game a five star rating, except the bugs kept me from doing so. The game would constantly freeze up and then act as if I had died and force me to lose a percentage of my gold and also to retrieve my body. This would not only happen in gameplay, but also as I was exiting. I had an Nvidia Geforce 256 and DirectX 7.0. I updated DirectX to the latest version (8.0a) and the game was still extremely buggy. I then updated my Nvidia drivers and it has been working quite well since. My graphics card came out approximately two months before the original Diablo II and the game should have been compatible. Even if not, the incompatability should have been corrected in this expansion. This major annoyance kept me from giving this otheriwse great game five stars.

Summary: The Best 'Diablo' Yet
Review: Blizzard have a tendency to drag out each title as long as they can, but in the case of Diablo, the 4th addition to the series is by far the best. Lord of Destruction finally wraps up the Diablo storyline, and does a good job of capturing the desperation brought around by Baal's pursuit of the Worldstone. I've always thought that the world of Diablo deserved a REAL RPG to fully explore it, and the final act reitterates the need to further explore the storyline. The Ancients and characters such as Nihelak are just some of the great new ideas produced for the expansion.
Of course, it is the gameplay issues that really make LoD shine. Better graphics, the ability to equip henchmen, a larger stash and a huge collection of new items make Lord of Destruction like a new game rather than an expansion for Diablo 2. The new character classes (Druid and Assassin) are not as reliable as the Diablo 2 equivalents, but introduce some new skills that enhance gameplay (particularly the shapeshifting Druids). Whilst I'm not a huge fan of the game, it's multiplayer environment really shines. Battle.net allows players to play games with gamers from across the world, and the trading scene makes magical items that much more valuable. If you liked Diablo 2, you'll love the expansion. If you are looking for an RPG go and get Baldur's Gate II or wait for Neverwinter Nights.

Summary: Getting too much sleep? This is better than caffeine.
Review: Normally, I don't play action or "shooter" type games. Civilization, The Sims, Zeus .. these are more my style. So when a friend introduced me to the original Diablo game some years ago, I never expected to like it, but thought I would humor him. I did like it .. but found it a little creepy, and never finished it. I'm not sure why I got Diablo 2 when it came out, but I found I liked it even more than the original. But still, I never really made it very far, only to the third act (the dread "ankle-biters" act).

Then, I needed a new game, and the expansion had just come out. It was relatively cheaper than a whole new game, so I got it. Now I can't stop playing. I've finally finished the first difficulty level, and am happily slaying critters left and right in the next difficulty level (which is a heck of a lot harder). And my favorite thing to do .. Hunt For Cool New Items.

The expansion pack offers 2 new classes, and a whole slew of new items. And I mean zillions of new items, with all new properties for your old ones, new sets, etc! And, of course, a new act, replete with catapults flinging fire and ice (and poison and lightning), fire towers shooting at you while you frantically try to slay the teleporting, fire-throwing little buggers that seem to pop up out of nowhere, and barricaded walls blocking further progress.

In short, even if you hated "shooter" games like Quake (ugh!) or Doom (blech!), give Diablo 2 a try. "Free time" may become an alien term to you, and sleep a luxury that takes a backseat to "let me just finish this one more quest..."

Summary: Best Expansion Ever
Review: There is some reason why this is the hottest and greatest selling expansion set game ever. The makers at Blizzard took Diablo II to a new level with this game. The difficulty, quests, characters and items have all been beefed up and rearranged and this game has almost infinite replay. If you don't have it get it, if you don't even have Diablo II you are missing out, so buy this and fast or you'll be wasting time you could be using to play this game.

Review: This is the best computer game ever. I f you already played diablo2 and you want more (just like i did) you will not be disappointed. Theres two new characters a druid and a assasin. Theres runes and jewel and a few new weapons. Another act. Yeah its just one but you won't be disappointed because its very long. The only real problem is that bail is way to easy. Hes a lot easier than diablo.
I didn't eat drink or sleep for a week until i finished this game. it's absalutely amazeing!!!!!
