Summary: Sickened
Review: I suppose this must be repetitive, but it needs to be said :

The graphics are a little to hokey, cartoon-like; which quite frankly doesn't appeal to me.

The gameplay : Well, lets just say the little "hero" thing
isn't very original. Coming from the "founder" of RTS, I would
have thought something original would come with this game.
All that happend was a theft.

Neutral buildings? Eh, this is starting to look like Heroes of
Might and Magic 3. Quests? The bandit stole my ledger!
Nonsense...

Summary: Good but not great
Review: Again Blizzard comes out with a blockbuster game. While they crafted a rich story-line, as is the standard of Blizzard, I don't think they've put in the kind of work into the actual game-play. First of all, the up-keep system should've been revised. Instead of taking away from what your workers harvest, it should be slowly deducted from your stash like in Cossacks: European Wars. And there should be more resources on the map. The stockpile runs out too quickly, which makes the game much too short in multiplayer. The up-keep system just steals from what little resources are already there. Again to deal with resources, there should be a trade system, something I've yet to see in anything but Age of Empires II, that will allow resources to keep on coming in. Warcraft III has captured the essence of warfare tactics, but it doesn't teach the husbandry of resources nearly as well. In AoE2, to win, you needed to know how to master both economy AND military, if you wanted to be a great player. And the counter system for weapon-vs.armor is pitiful. It makes almost no difference. Empire Earth did a much better job at it. The graphics are much better than Blizzard's usual. Most of their graphics are usually blurry and not very clear. Though I do admit that the graphics in Warcraft III are cartoony and blocky, I don't really care, as long as I can distinguish between my troops and the enemy's. I have to admit, I am stunned by the cinematic's graphics. Superb! The idea of a heroes in the game is great, too. The ability for the heroes to level-up and grow stronger is much better than Empire Earth's heroes, who's heroes' attack, armor, etc. can't even be upgraded. Though maybe the regular troops should be able to be leveled up too, like in C&C, Force Commander, or Kingdoms: Annihiliation? All in all, this was a very good game, but I think that Age of Empires has it beat.

Summary: The game is BALANCED.
Review: Well, simply put the game is good.
Here is why:
First, graphics are sleek and nice, and they do not require that much power. I first tried the game on a 400 mghz processor with 128 ram and it was quite playable, which can not be said for most of the games out there.

The story is not anything special, though it's still pretty good. The cutscenes are majestic, though.

Music and sounds are good.

The Multiplayer is what is the real stuff. And it is perfect. The game has 4 races that Blizzard spend 3 years balancing. It has a very good automatical match making system and ladder.

To be honest, I first downloaded the warez verison of the game. Then I bought it. It simply deserve's it, and without the official version you can't play in battle.net.

If you are decided to buy a game - WC3 is truly the best choise. The game will last until StarCraft 2 comes... Which is still in the distant future.

Summary: ! Game 20002!
Review: Not perfect...
The singleplayer mode is too hard. I think after the Campaign the Compouter is too fast. You recognize you play against a computer...
and the grafic is perhaps a little bit too cuet.
But come on, everything else is very very good.
1. sound is bombastique
2. 4 races, perhaps on the add-on we will decide us between 6!
3. i think the gaemplay is very good, too
4. the online features are fantastique
5...

For me it's the game of the year 2002

Summary: Good, but highly demanding
Review: I had always wondered why RTS game came out one after another, and decidely put the number of kills your units had on their display, and yet they never seemed to amount to anything. Finnally a game where it pays to fight. In Warcraft III the creaters in their infinate wisdom(and what i look back upon and say duh), decided to include heroes, or units which get better over time, and can become almost unstopable once they have reached high levels, and while this is great for you if you have a level 9 hero, it's not as fun when one is leading a fledgling army at your main base.

There are a great many improvements over the previous Warcraft tittles which have done so well for Blizzard, such as two new races each with their own helpful quirks, and new units for the classic races. However there is one problem with the game, the system requirements. The box states that they recomend a 32MB video card, 256MB of ram, and at least a 600Mhz processor, and they really aren't kidding. I am running a 1.2Mhz with 384MB of ram, and a 32MB video card, and during a great many of the battles my system is lagged greatly. What i am saying is that unless you have a system at least as good as the recomended don't waste your money, you will get easily frustrated by you inability to use spells in key moments, and take full control of the battlefield. Otherwise there are to many strengths to the game to even speak of, and if you enjoy RTS, or any kind of strategy game, i assure you the price is worth it.

Summary: THE BEST GAME EVER
Review: Ever since blizzard annonced that they were going to make a game called "Warcraft III" I got very excited and waited for it to come out. I had never tried warcraft before but I had played starcraft which is another blizzard strategy game that was one of the best ever in strategy games history. So I figured that it would be pretty good. When I got it though i realized it wasn't just very good it was AWSOME, it was worth every penny.

Warcraft 3 is a strategy game of course that is pretty much the same as starcraft but instead of 3 races it has 4 the Humans, The Orcs, the Undead, and the night elves. You play in campains which is sort of like the story line of the game, they all build on each other. You can play in a custom game which is pretty much you pick your team out of the 4 available a pick what level and how many opponants you will have. Then the last way to play is multiplayer which is online games. This is very easy to work out you just go to play game, then you pick your race out of the 4 how many people 1vs1 2vs2 3vs3 4v4 or free for all. Last you pick the level you want to play and press accept. Then the game searches out of the thousands of people playing and finds you the right level and amont of people then you play.

The last thing is the level editor. You can costomize the terrain the number of players and the amont of people you want on a team you can pretty much do everything from building towns and cities to picking the color of your team. Then just to make sure you did everything right you can test the level and leave it to make any tweaks or adjustments.

Warcraft 3 might just be one of the greatest games of all time and if you're wondering what game you should buy for windows or mac I would definatly suggest WARCRAFT 3!

Summary: Possibly the best from Blizzard... and that says a lot.
Review: What are the other reviewers smokin'?

This game met and surpassed my expectations. I never liked WC1 or 2, but I really was into Starcraft. I was skeptical about buying this game because I didn't like the first two, so I probably wouldn't like this one.

I'm glad I bought this game, because I love it. The four distinct races are very different... almost as much as the races in Starcraft. Battle.net is a blast to play with friends and anonymous people as well.

I'll have to play this game for much longer before I can determine if it surpasses Starcraft in the gameplay department. But in the mean-time, I'm going to keep playing this excellent game. Thank You Bliizzard. :)

Summary: Solid RTS with light RPG elements
Review: I was very disappointed by Diablo2, so I was wary. However I think that Blizzard has done a bangup job of following warcraft2. The cut scenes can look odd with the heros bounding around, but the storyline is engrossing and the character interaction is fun between the heros. But to be honest, the only reason for a single player mission IMHO is to learn the game enough to play online, which is where this game shines.

Online games are easier to join now; you choose some basic game characteristics and hit go and battlenet finds you a game. This saves a LOT of frustration due to stupid little kids and their bots like in Starcraft.

The multiplayer games are also varied, with extremely weird scenarios already available to play. Example: build a maze of towers with a flying peasant as fast as possible to repel waves of invaders that can't kill you until they pass your towers.

Summary: Played it, love it
Review: As this game is often compared with starcraft this is how I see both games

1. gameplay: the gameplay is nothing like starcraft, Warcraft 3 uses stronger units but less of them. I like this setup opposed to starcraft's "BUILD TONS AND TONS OF UNITS AND GO CONQUER" making the game seem like a race to build alot of units, rather then a strategy game. WINNER-warcraft 3

2.cutscenes: The cutscenes in warcraft are mostly using the in-game graphic engine. While the voice acting is good and this allows you to acually make cutscenes with the game editor there are some problems within the campaign. Most of the heros you play in the campaigns have horses(or dogs) and they NEVER GET OFF THERE HORSES, they are ALWAYS on them in the cutscenes. The pre rendered cutscenes however are better than starcraft and are EXTRAORDINARY. They look like the best dreamworks movies. Winner= warcraft 3

Story:I dont understand why most of the game magazines and websites think that this game has the best story of any rts ever, it is good dont get me wrong, It has a few twists to it. But it cant match the true complex and compelling story that is Starcraft. Starcraft was the game that pushed me through to the end because of its story, not this game. The reason I keep on playing this game is because it is very fun. Winner= starcraft

Graphics: There is no competition warcraft3 looks Ostonishing winner= warcraft

Multiplayer: Fun, good fun. I stank at starcraft but I'm accually not bad in warcraft3, mostly because rushes are less a problem. I have never been rushed where I couldn't counter it.
Winner=warcraft

Summary: Rediculous.
Review: They call this a Real Time Strategy (RTS) game?? Give me a break. This isn't a strategy game, it's a "Who can build the best hero in the shortest time period" game.

The graphics are childish and the single player game is a waste of time.

Multiplayer isn't much better... I grew tired of the enemy showing up at my town in 90 seconds. It is far too easy to powerup and thrash your opponents in 2-3 minutes. Strategy? There isn't time.

I'm sorry I spent the money on this overpriced game, but at least I got 1/2 of it back on the trade-in.
