Summary: The best yet
Review: I've been playing Real Time Strategy games since Westwood Studios' pre-Command and Conquer game Dune came out on the Sega Genesis. Since then I've been hooked, and played about every RTS I could find. Midevil, modern, sci-fi, I loved them all. But now I don't know if I'll be able to go back to any of them.

WCIII has changed everything. It is, if you will, the Thinking Person's RTS. Gone are the days of determining victory by who can amass the biggest army the fastest. There are no more swarms of cannon-fodder units to send in endless waves against the enemy defenses (unless you count the Undead's raised skeletons). In WCIII, you not only have to carefully choose your battles, but be selective in the units you produce as well.

The Blizzard folks have outdone themselves. Again.

Review: I thought StarCraft got dull quickly...until I played this. I was sick of it within a day. Very repetitive, far too linear, and extruciatingly limiting. Simply not worth the money...

Summary: Whoho! Go ORCS! ^_^
Review: This is my current addiction, and it's just as much fun as the last two WarCrafts (and StarCraft). The game has been revamped a bit, so it will look and feel odd the first few times you play it, but after that it's a great play.

The hero's are more annoying than helpful to my own style of play, but I've seen plenty of folks who take to them like ducks to water (quack!).

So if you like Age of Empires, or StarCraft, or any other fantasy-based realtime game, give this one a try!

Summary: Starcraft It's not, Fun it is
Review: So, I was playing Warcraft III last night. Good game, but definately has some shortfalls. Not as good as Starcraft (which I'd give a 9/10). I'd give this a 6/10.

I'm sort of ambivalent on the RPG aspect of it. I like the hero thing, and not being afraid to use/lose said heroes as you can pay to respawn them.

Good -

The sound is amazing. From both the humorous messages to the smashes, bashes, and explosions it's great. The music is worth turning up.

The graphics, while a bit cartoony are still good. The cinematics are breathtaking in some cases.

The plot is good, and not kiddie-oriented.

Some of the missions have unique objectives I've never seen in an RTS before.

Bad -

Cartoony graphics. It looks like they were trying too hard to make it 3d.

Some units are worthless. For example - the humans are far better than the undead. Of course, that might just be my playing style.

Only 100 food available. This means you can have max

100 units, but realistically speaking, units take 2 to 5 food EACH.

The game is too easy. Yeah, it has a hard mode, but that's ridiculous. I can see myself getting bored quickly. Hopefully the scenario mode is good, for me that's what made Starcraft and Warcraft II have replay value.

There are a few annoying bugs. And waaaay to many invulnerable characters.

Summary: Good but not great
Review: To be honest, I was very hyped up for WC3. I even looked at its websites everyday to check on how the game is coming. The result, however, is nothing compared to what I expected. True, the graphics are great for RTS titles these days. The gameplay is great as well with heroes that grows like in an RPG, and enough units with upgardes and special abilities to keep the games interesting. There are new special abilities as you get the chance to use new units, races, and heroes. I gave this game three stars, however, because it is not revolutionary enough to deserve five stars. The hero system is nice, but after a while, the same formula of build, attack, and then rebuild applies. Then, the game is also unbalanced as some heroes get much better abilities then others of race, or some cool ability that does really nothing once the special effects wears off. This applies even more with normal units. Finally, the storyline [is bad]. Every plot twist is predictable, and every character fits the basic archetypes of an old sword and fantasy story. I defintely expected better of Blizzard after playing Starcraft. Yes, it is a good game, but for the time in development, and final result, perhaps it is too much of a price.

Summary: Another great title by blizzard
Review: Blizzard keeps on pumping out the great games. I just bought this game and played it over battle.net and discovered that this is another great game. Some people have said that this game doesnt have very good graphics on the units in the game, but I found just the opposite. This is a great game, but I find myself sometimes going back to Starcraft. You can even have heros in the game that advance in level as they get more expierience. If your looking for another great online game this is for you.

Summary: Blizzard strike back
Review: Game designers, Blizzard etertainment, are the undisputed pioneers and kings of real-time strategy games. After having produced the ground-breaking, revolutionary, Starcraft they got all the feedback they needed to change the some-what mediocre WarCraft saga into a rival of their own StarCraft. WarCraft III has all the perfection of strategy seen in StarCraft Brood War in addition to new features and fantastic vibrant graphics! Don't miss out! I hated WarCraft but loved StarCraft and even I got blown away by this! GET IT!... ... .

Summary: Great Game
Review: How could you possibly give this game less than 5 stars? The graphics are amazing, the storyline is fabulous, and the new hero system works really well with the RTS system. The rotational viewing is a bit limited, but WHO CARES? Battle.net is really great, and customs are fun. You will never tire of this game.... get it today!
