Summary: You are wrong Sharang Malaviya. This is THE BEST GAME EVER!!
Review: Sharang Malaviya, how could you say this was even remotely bad? Any person who says this game is bad must be TOTALLY RTS biased. I think the game should have been MORE RPG based, but it still rocks!

Four unique races, each with their own powers and skills. Heroes get spells and level-up, they even get items. Creeps everyone, a unique story to be told in each one.

This is definently THE BEST game ever made by Blizzard Entertainment. It will be a game that lives on longer than starcraft... Starcraft, another one of Blizzard's games, has a cool Campaign Editor where you can change stats of units and such.

In Warcraft III, you can change stats of units, make new spells for them, change their graphics and size, change speed, sight, range EVERYTHING. The trigger sysem is easy to use, and you can make pretty much anything with it.

I have waited for this game for 3 years... watching every step it took, and now I am amazed. Even better than I thought! A must for ANY RPS lover and a great game to buy for any RPG, RTS, an MMORPG lover. People, buy this game and scream out loud when you see how fun it is. Out of 5 stars, I give it a 7... but I can't go that far.

Summary: Best game of the year easy.
Review: This game is worth every penny. I cannot begin to explain how much better it is that War Craft II or Star Craft. Blizzard has done a great job on this one. It is very addictive and is a great mixture of strategy and skill.

Summary: A definite Blizzard hit, but...
Review: STAR WARS: Episode II has more action, excitement and special effects and the original STAR WARS (Episode IV), but is it better? That question goes for Warcraft III.

WARCRAFT III is incredible! The story is great! Each of the four races has a unique way of building and fighting and it's just a plain great RTS (Real-Time Strategy Game). BUT I didn't enjoy it as much as when I first discovered STARCRAFT (or even WARCRAFT II). Why? Well if you're a "Micro-manager" this game is for you.

In order to make gameplay more exciting, WARCRAFT III doesn't allow you to build big armies anymore, instead forcing players to focus on fighting strategies and a lot less on building strategies. Some people like that, some people don't. Having your army limited to about 10-15 "people" takes a lot of fun out of the game.

If you asked me - in STARCRAFT and WARCRAFT II, the parts I hated the most were the "bug hunts". You guys know what I mean - you get like 5 units and focus on finding something and surviving instead of building your base/city. Well, WARCRAFT III is like one big "bug hunt".

This is still one of the best RTS game out there, but it's not as groundbreaking (or in my view - fun) as STARCRAFT is.

Summary: Gold Code Review--Game of the Year, no question
Review: Right off the bat I should say that I'm not easily taken to PC games. I don't have the patience to sit in front of my computer playing a 50+ hour game (Morrowind anyone?) instead of on my couch with my Xbox or PS2. Needless to say the game had better be pretty damn good to garner my attention.

Cast absolutely all doubt aside that Blizzard might have lost its touch in moving to 3D, Warcraft III is an absolute masterpiece. The RTS-style gameplay hasn't varied significantly enough for any fans to make any true complaints about it; despite rumors to the contrary, this is not an RPG. The light amount of RPG elements infused in the game are welcome and appropriate since you will be spending a great deal of each campaign with a given character and you would like them to grow somewhat between missions while you are still forced to rebuild the rest of your base. To sum this up, as far as gameplay goes this is about as rock solid as it gets; some may complain about the 90 food limit on unit construction, but it adds a necessary strategy element to the game that makes the battles less about rushing and more about careful planning and intelligent use of the unique abilities of your given race.

Speaking of races, unlike in Warcraft II, there are some serious distinctions between the different races that makes each have separate strengths and weaknesses. For instance, although the Orcs have an impressive selection of ground units and are able to build base defenses quickly, their air power is relatively weak. The Night Elves on the other hand have the ability to make themselves invisible at night and to harvest wood without actually cutting down trees so you have no fear of accidentally cutting a hole in the perimeter of your base. I'm only citing a few examples here; the differences could sum several pages and some are quite subtle so you'll want to experiment by playing the entire single player campaign before you decide to tackle the multiplayer mode.

Speaking of the single player campaigns, I have to say that the level of cinematic storytelling in Warcraft III exceeds even that of Starcraft and Brood War. This is the most engrossing storyline in a PC game I have seen EVER and is worth picking up just for the single player missions (which number over 30).

Graphically the game isn't going to win any awards, but I found absolutely nothing to complain about either. The terrain looks great, the models aren't noticeably blocky even in close up in game cutsceens and in general it looks like Warcraft III's graphics will age just as superbly as its predecessors.

I haven't had much opportunity to play with the multi-player mode, battle.net isn't up yet since the game hasn't been released yet (mine is a LEGAL review copy by the way) but from what I can tell from the balance in games with friends over a LAN, Warcraft III looks to be THE RTS to beat for the next few years to come.

Blizzard's tendency to hold back a game seemingly forever prior to an actual release is criticized by some gamers who just want to play the damn thing already. But what most struck me after I had finished Warcraft III was the intense amount of quality and love that had gone into polishing and tweaking the formula to perfection. This isn't merely an attempt to cash in on a winning franchise folks, Warcraft III can easily stand on its own as one of the best RTS games of all time and if you are smart you will pick up a copy on release day and cherish it like there is nothing else in the world. Trust me on this, the guys who made it did exactly that and it shows.

Summary: Horrible Game
Review: This game was the worst blizzard game i ever played. The messed up the entire strategy gaming idea. The RPG they mixed into the game was unbelievably horrible. They should have kept the rpg out. Blizzard is turning this game into Diablo. Some of the features were nice, but otherwise single player is the worst. Multiplayer is ok, they should have kept the game like StarCraft, plain and simple, but awesome. They messed up the entire story. Blizzard better not make StarCraft 2 like this. You shouldn't buy this game, it is a big disappointment.

Summary: GAME IS GREAT(of course)
Review: right when i got the game i started playin it and it took a little getting used to.I had played starcraft and the other warcrafts but this was different in many aspects such as leveling your heros and getting items for them from creeps and the night elf race was a bit confusing at first. What blizzard has cleverly done(at least how i view it) is mix all the starcraft races of zerg protoss and terran into each of the four war3 races of undead-night elf-human-and orc
Night elf-their building can move like the terran but in creating the tree buildings you use up wisps like the zerg with drones and their buildings however you dont use up wisps with non living buildings.
Orcs-orcs burrows(farms) can house peons who attack from them when inside it like terran bunkers.but otehr than that and maybe a few other things it is relativly unchanged from war2
Humans-Again this race is relativly unchanged from war2 and just has addons-archers are now dwarven riflemen etc
Undead-Undead being a totally new race like the nigth elves are a build of all 3 starcraft races-they build like the protoss(are able to leave a building to buid by itself)but are limited to the blight similiar to a zerg creep.they have a unique way of getting gold without having to build a totally new main building allowing you to save money and time.they use the necromatic ways the orcs used to.a drawback to them is that you need to get a barracks or crypt in order to get ghouls who gather wood.
all in all it is a totally new gaming experience with totally amazing 3D maps and units and a zoom in view like that of Sierras Empire Earth GET THE GAME NOW.

Summary: Another one..
Review: What we have here is a game that works brilliantly as a single game. But once you've played through it all and seen all the (yes) brilliant cinematics, what are you actually left with?

Some portions of it rely very much on Starcraft tech, like for instance the undead who are almost identical to Starcraft's protoss. Calling this the best game from Blizzard is a mistake, since we've seen it all before.

Isn't it time we saw something entirely new for a change? Not just a little improvement on something that started ages ago (Dune 2.) As a multiplayer game, this gets old fast. The slow game-play gets too boring, over its rival Star Craft made by the same name: Blizzard.

These strategy games need something new, a new idea, and they need it quick. The game is too mathematical. Why couldn't each time for instance have had one really good unit that cost plenty, and would take a long time to build? Hmm. Guess it would be a huge step to take, but it would be really exciting. Like the super weapons in Dune 2. Ah well, the graphics, and music and all are all good. But I've finished Warcraft III now, so guess I'm heading back to good old Diablo 2 for the momentum.

Summary: Stand alone, or compare?
Review: As a beta tester, I have had my hands on this game for months now, and I have seen it evolve and grow to what is now the gold edition. Though it is only the multiplayer that was released as the beta, much can be seen through this since that is the feature that will most likely live on for many gamers.
If you take this game as a stand alone product of Blizzard, it is really an accomplishment. In many aspects, it is a fantastic game, and the single player game should offer numerous suprises and hours of fun.
At the same time, if you see this game as the next step in gaming from Blizzard, you may however see it as a step back. This game began in the beta with four completely unique races. In the months since, the races have all come to appear closer together in abilities and strategy. In the world of Starcraft the three races were COMPLETELY unique, warcraft fails to do this. The races have some differences, but the key items are mostly all the same.
I am by no means saying that you should base your opinion of this game on the performance of Starcraft of any other Blizzard title. It will surely be a great game, but with drawbacks that deserve to be addressed, because only a few (the beta testers) really saw them develop.

Summary: Pretty Good
Review: I've been playing the beta, and despite the fact that WarIII has been taking alot of slack from some vocal testers, the game overall has alot going for it. 2v2's are incredibly fun, alot more then Starcraft in my opinion. I also thing the game is designed from the ground up to be a great single player experience, and what we have seen so far encourages thats view. Finally the world editor is simply amazing, and mod makings will be jumping when they get their hands on it.

On the downside, the races are not very unique, and playstyles are very similar. Aswell upkeep and random items I think spoil some of the fun of the game.

WarcraftIII is not as god as WacraftII or Starcraft in my opinion, but it will still sell very well, and deserved to do so, Blizzard did a fairly good job.

Plus the game is now gold, so not to long to wait until retail!

Summary: Warcraft 3-Destined to be the Best Srategy Game Ever!
Review: Fist of all I'd like to address all those ignorant people out there who gave this game a low score because of not being released "When they want it". Blizzard is the best software developer to date for one reason, they spend as much time as needed to finish the game to get it bug free, and alot of fun for almost anyone who picks up one of there titles. I for one am glad Blizzard takes their time. How do you think their games get "Game of the Year" and are million sellers? Just look at the Blizzard site, they are constantly making balance changes to Warcraft to make it so no race is better than the other. People will have there personal preference based on their skills for a certain race, but all will have a chance to win. Warcraft 3 is the most entertaining game I have ever played. Though I have only played the Beta, it is still extremly fun and I can't wait for the single player. I already reserved the Collector's Edition and I suggest you at least get the game if not the Collector's Edition. I highly doubt you will be dissapointed.
