Rating: Summary: a different, yet thoroughly enjoyable experience Review: WCIII takes some elements from its predecessors and adds new levels of strategies, the Hero concept being paramount. Certainly there are many players who were experts at the simple "mass production skills" developed in the earlier Blizzard titles, especially Starcraft, who will find this game less enjoyable as it plays away from their skills. Simple answer to their gripes: learn new skills. WCIII is more strategy based. This is evident in the fact that units cannot simply be thrown onto enemy defenses until they (the defenses) become overwhelmed. The attacking units need to be controlled at all times for maximum efficiency because 1)there is a low production ceiling and 2) a relatively high cost for high-level units. The game isn't hard to play, but it is difficult to master. The range of playing styles available ensures a different experience from each opponent. Finding an effective strategy that best fits is a challenge. It's not a perfect game, but it is definitely worthwhile.
Rating: Summary: Mixed Bag Review: I'd like to start off that Blizzard has made an awesome game. Unfortunately like all games Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos has flaws. One good factor of this game is its 3d graphics. The 3d graphics in this game make the gameplay enjoyable and they support Blizzards awesome cinematics. Another good factor was its cinematics which were in 3d. The three heroes (for each race) in the game also made the gameplay enjoyable because you controlled these powerful beings and if dead they could be summoned back. Another plus point was battle.net. It's a great way to play with others for FREE!!! Finally the last good factor to this game that I noticed was the storyline. The storyline was spectacular backed up with the 3d cinematics. One thing that seemed flawed to me was that everytime I'd play a custom game my computer would freeze. Being a new computer 2.2 ghz., 256mb I couldn't see why my computer would freeze even if my computer was much higher than the requirement. Another bad factor was that the campaign was more like an rpg and not a strategy game. I knew that this was a mix of rpg and rts but I didn't know that it would be so different from the other warcraft games. Finally the last flaw I noticed was that the max. population of 90 people, which is merely enough to produce a sufficient army. Overall: OKAY game, there are other games out there such as WARLORDS BATTLECRY 2 and EMPIRE EARTH ~Vaib~
Rating: Summary: Wonderfully Planned Review: Warcraft 3 is about defeating the enemy. You can play up to 6 adventures . This game has me puzzled. I think the animation is great. You should have up to the recommended requirements or higher for greater performence. I dont think this should be recommended for children under the age of 10 due to the animated violence and Some mild language. If you love puzzling features , war battles, and mutant heros then i remcommend this game for you.

Rating: Summary: Gone Gold Review: The highest anticipated pc game ever has now gotten its expansion. With new heros like: Blood Mage Many of the stoic high elves, reeling from the loss of their ancient homeland, Quel'Thalas, have given in to their hatred and despair and embraced the dark side of their magical natures. Calling themselves 'blood elves' - these cold hearted refugees seek to expand their remaining magical powers at any cost - even if it means courting the infernal powers of the Burning Legion! Though still loyal to the Alliance, the blood elves' passions will lead them not only to the highest pinnacles of power, but to the darkest depths of madness The Warden The mysterious wardens serve as the night elves' special police force in Kalimdor. Set apart from the militant Sentinels, wardens are usually employed as jailors, assassins, and bounty hunters. When loosed upon escaped criminals, wardens employ a number of supernatural powers that enable them to recapture their prey and meet out the night elves' justice. Wardens have a line of sight teleport ability called "blink," which they can use to outmaneuver even the quickest of foes The crypt lord heroes These ancient, evil behemoths were once the mighty kings of the subterranean spider kingdom of Azjol-Nerub. Though the Nerubians fell before the wrath of the Lich King during the fabled War of the Spider, the insidious Crypt Lords were swayed over to the Lich King's ranks and granted considerable power and the immortality of undeath. Now the giant, thundering beasts serve as the Lich King's mightiest warriors and the guardians of the Scourge's holdings in Northrend. Shadow HUnters These reclusive, wily jungle trolls are considered to be the highest authority within their respective warbands. They are masters of voodoo magics who can use their spirit-powers to both heal their allies and place curses upon their hapless enemies. Donning their ceremonial rush'kah masks -- that channel the spirits of their dark gods -- the Shadow Hunters walk the line between darkness and light in hopes of salvaging the future for their savage brethren. THese fine heroes are not the only the expansion, but with a whole horde of new units Buy This game!!
Rating: Summary: THIS GAME RULES! Review: Warcraft III:The Frozen Throne, is the best game Blizzard has come out with yet...from the new heroes, to the little changes that makes this game great, everyone who knows the Warcraft line should buy it!
Rating: Summary: Warcraft III Review: Being a huge (and I mean huge) fan of the first 2 Warcrafts (especially because it's comparable to the 'board game' Warhammer). The charm of the first two Warcrafts also was their accessibility and fantasy charm (which included every mythological creature from orcs, trolls, and ogres to dwarves, elves, and gnomes, not to mention gryphons, daemons and dragons :D). This tradition of traditional fantasy is continued in Warcraft III. The only qualm I had about this game was there was really nothing new as far as gameplay. The story was great and the characters were likable, so on that level the game succeeded. Warcraft was never one for incredible graphics, but the graphics were never (and aren't) bad at all. The view could've been zoomed out a little more on this one, but it doesn't ruin the game. The music and sounds are the technical highlights of this game, as well as the amazing (!) cinematics. Playing online is very fun and the fact that Blizzard.Net is free makes is even more fun :D, but the highlight of this game is it's single-player (as it's always been). So I was a bit disappointed, but not by much, this could've been a whole lot worse, but I would've liked to see something new.
Rating: Summary: Great Game Review: From the amount of the Frozen Throne that I have seen and played on, this is such a great game. Many new units make new ways of creating your army and your stratagy. This game is more balanced than Warcraft III:Reign Of Chaos and also needs players to play more in depth. Many are looking forward to this expansion set that is coming soon. Just a few more days until millions will get their own copy shipped and start playing.
Rating: Summary: 5 Stars, if you have the proper computer. Review: Due to the large range of units featured in this game, the majority of computers that are released can't maintain the process of running this game. Where it may take 20 seconds to focus on one thing, for someone with a high performance computer, it's hardly a second. Get this game as your risk. Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos is the follow-up of the two previous Warcraft games. This game is a strategic game, as stated in another review, this is NOT for the stupid. There are four different main races featured in this game - Orcs, Night Elves, Humans, and the Undead. Each race has its own special qualities, so play each one to see which one you highly favor. This game is in 3D and makes it a bit hard to distinguish your characters from enemy and ally characters. The challenge of gaming against other over the internet is hard to ignore. You can game with others and compare and study how other people use their tactics in order for you to become a very skilled player. I have an iMac which was purchased a few years ago (not before 2000), and it has a horrible time processing information on this game. Even for some of the most high performance computers, this game can becoming very agrivating due to its time to process any information. This rating is based on the type of computer you have. If your computer has a hard time even processing information from even the simplest of games, DO NOT buy this game.
Rating: Summary: John Review: Ok game but hard to get use to. I uninstalled it after about 5 times trying to understand how to play. My son loved it, Good kid game but for an adult i would go for something else.
