Review: Backyard Baseball 2001, an interesting, fun, exciting, and addicting game. It combines all the aspects of America's pastime in one fun game for both kids and adults. I am currently young right now and I am fascinated by it. The age range really is a little weird?! I would recommend this for people a little older than five and much older than 12. The first things you must know are what the game is about...but if you know a little or non-at all, playing this game will inform you of it.Major League Baseball players take the field as kids! Backyard Baseball usual kids team up with the Major League stars including Derek Jeter, Randy Johnson, Ken Griffey JR., Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire, Larry Walker, and much much more. Plus your great stars from the Backyard kids including the infamous Pablo Sanchez. You can also customize your own backyard kid with your own abilities. You can pick your team from 31 Major League Baseball players as kids, or create your own customized team. Plus you can decide what field for your Backyard game including the beach, parking lot, or a regular baseball field. Another great thing is you can play against people online with friends across the country. This Windows accesible feature is safe, secure, and accessible. The last great thing is the game play. There are simple-point-and click controls. So easy to use, our parents can play it. There are so many customizable controls including, having tee-ball, easy, medium, or hard level, game commentary, and others. You choose your fielding and batting strategy also. Humongous Sports has done it again, and now my favorite of them all. If you like baseball, and you enjoy the simple aspects of it, please buy this game. It will keep you occupied for days. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, if you are using a Mac., this is currently the only baseball game for that. Play Ball!

Review: BB2001 is the best baseball game ever!In this version you can pick major league players and teams,and that is only one of the updates from the first version.The graphics are great, and it is even easier to bat,field,and pitch.This is a great game!

Summary: My six-year old loves it but can't understand it
Review: Cheap and richly adorned, this game takes some skill to play. My young daughter finds it fascinating; she likes it mostly because she unknowingly gets creamed by the computer-managed opponent. That is, she thinks the computer is managing her team; a 21-0 loss is a 21-0 win for her. I am only a slightly better player and much better at realizing just how poorly I am doing. The options are plentiful, from choices among exotic and attractive ball fields (boy, I should have been so lucky as a kid), line ups (as a kid, fielding a full team in the backyard would constitute a once-in-kid's lifetime dream), to pitch selection (for me as a kid it was simply throw hard, harder or harder still). Not for the impatient or the slow-witted. But this is baseball.

Review: Ever since my 5 year old son got this for Christmas, he has probably played with this CD everyday. He always liked baseball, but he is even more into it now. He's learned all the teams and players names and it has even helped him learn the strategies in baseball. He absolutely loves it.
