Summary: Old but Good
Review: Other reviews have focused on the game dynamics, I want to foucs on the aesthetics of the game. This is a classic game, and as such it does not exactly compare well with state of the art games (in terms of graphics, anyway). However, the storyline is wonderful, and the scenery is very well drawn. What really stands out in my mind after all these years is the music. It is a game that takes patience to get through; lot's of thought involved. So if you want a relaxing yet challenging game, with a great ending, then this is a game for you. If you are looking for fast action then look elsewhere.

Summary: Who's Boston Lowe?
Review: Really fun game - with bizarre plot twists and solvable puzzles... Even more fun when you realize who does the voice for Boston Lowe. Think x-Files, Robocop, Terminator 2. The voices added to the game.

Summary: *_*I dig The Dig!
Review: THE DIG DESERVES EVERY STAR I GIVE IT! I am forever a fan of Myst, Riven, and Exile, and agree that The Dig has primitive graphics for our times. Gamers should not pass up a chance to play one of the best 2D games of the century, however, because of its loveable characters and challenging scenarios, this game will always be at the top of my list. Maggie Robbins, Ludger Brink, and Commander Boston Low are on the scene to help you win when an asteroid becomes a starship, transporting the three of you to the mysterious planet, Cocytus, with no clue, and little chance of survival. Solve the brain harrowing puzzles, and save the alien race from exctinction.
1 downside of this game is that both Maggie and Brink die. I needed to curb my emotions through some parts.
What made this game so loveable was deffinitly NOT its graphics, or its challenging puzzles. Magie, Low, and Brink were the corniest characters(and I mean that in a good way) that anyone could imagine. I jsut had to sit back and laugh during those long scenes inwhich Brink(possesed by a Life/Death Crystal) and Commander Low verbally (and physically!) battle it out in front of Maggie. This game was hilarious. The dead alien inventor provides a more sentimental curb to the game. Use your brain power to the max in some parts, and just sit back and watch the text go by in some others. I love the Dig, and everyone should!
Heres a fun hint: In the air-tight room with the glowing blue crystals, type "swan" and something cool will happen.
That's all for now! Catch my reviews on Myst and Riven! (I always put two Asterix in my title *_*)
If you get stuck, just KEEP DIGGING

Summary: Role Playing Fanatic
Review: The Dig is fun, although the graphics lack somewhat, But hey Iwas raised on Pong. My stint with The Dig was cut short, cause My cd was damaged and have been looking for another one since. This is the first book that came to life in front of My eyes. If anybody didn't know it was a book first. I would like to get another copy to finish it.

Summary: Old but brilliant
Review: This game is a must have for all adventure game lovers. While the graphics seem chunky by today's standards, the gameplay, atmosphere and character dialogues more than make it very entertaining, fun and absorbing. "The Dig" should have been a movie, and at times the sequences are truly cinematic and the sound track is spectacular. The puzzles are not too difficult, if you are persistent you will be able to make it.

Summary: extremely addicting
Review: This game is an exciting game with wonderful situations that engage the player. It is difficult to stop playing this game at any given point. The only set back is that it is extremely challenging, but for some people (like me!) that is not a discouraging factor. It is a fantastic game to teach children patience with each other, as when I first played it I played with a group of my friends at age 10. We did not manage to finish it together but we had an enjoyable time and found ourselves looking forward to having the time to playing it. The game helped us to develop our logical and problem solving devices. I strongly recommend this computer game!
