Summary: GREAT GAME, A CLASSIC SCI-FI ADVENTURE
Review: AS i said before, a classic. Great game to enjoy with playing with a friend.Another Triunph for the couple Spielberg and Lucas(writers of the story)

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Lucas Arts - what have you done!
Review: I am one of the biggest fans of Adventure Games there is, especially those by Lucas Arts (Monkey island, Sam and Max etc.) but this game lacked all elements which i enjoy in a game. I played it for half an hour and then took it back because in that time I had experienced no conversation or decent interaction of any kind. All I was doing was walking around a planet picking rocks up - hmmm, fun.

Summary: The best Lucasarts game out there!
Review: I have played the game.
I have listened to the soundtrack.
I have read the book.
I have listened to the audiobook.
I hope for the original intent - a film.

The Dig is by far one of my favorite adventures ever! The story pulls you into a deep sojourn to another world where you will wonder what will happen next.

This game's dialogue was done by Orsen Scott Card! It is based off an idea by Steven Spielburg. Unfortunately at the time the adventure was too big to put on the screen. I'm hoping that this idea was not lost

Amazing. Truly Amazing.

Summary: I love this game
Review: I have read all of the reviews to date, and many of them complain about the graphics. When I got the Dig, it was the best graphics you could get at the time. Remember that it is an older game! The storyline is intruiging and some of the puzzles are extremely difficult. Some people have complained that the game is monotanous--but if you can zip right through it, doesn't that defeat the purpose of a thinking game? You play the character Boston Low, and must research and react with your crew members to get off of the alien planet you have landed on. I loved the dialgue, the storyline, the never-ending adventure game pockets, and I even have an affection for the graphics which some people have called corny and cartooney. I would hightly reccomend this game to anybody who is willing to take the time to finish the game without the cheatbook!

Summary: It's the entire atmosphere
Review: I read some comments about bad gameplay and lousy graphics. Well, I think that's both exaggerated because the game dates from 1995. In my opinion the game creates a very good and exciting atmosphere. If you don't like to think about puzzles and if you hate getting stuck once in a while, you might better look for the game "Aladdin" or something. The Dig is a game for the real adventurer.

Summary: Loved the Book
Review: I read the book The Dig, did you know there even was a book, and I personally LOVED the book. It was really weird, though, with all those "Ressurection" Crystals, and the addicted scientist. If the game is anywhere near as good as the book, it is a must have.

Summary: Great game!
Review: I thought this game was witty and fun and very original. Thepuzzles can be very tricky at times but they're not too hard tosolve. The story is interesting and the graphics are very nice. You will not get bored with this game. END

Summary: I dig The Dig
Review: I wrote a really long review, but it was deleted accidentally.

All I want to say is that this game was so cornbally and lovable that I just had to play it. I loved it, but their are many personalities that this game would not suit.
This review was not meant to be helpful, just to tell you to buy the game! I love Maggie and Brinjk and Commander Low! I hope you all have fun! I agree with all of the reviews that give it 4stars or more!...

Summary: For Some Fun
Review: I'm not much of a game player, but after playing Myst, Riven, and Titanic, I wanted more. While The Dig cannot live up to the beautiful graphics of Myst and Riven, it is fun to play. At times the graphics were rather horrible, making it difficult to find a critical clue towards the end. Other than that, the puzzles were fun although not very challenging and the story was rather entertaining, although a bit corny. The game takes place on an alien planet...you've crash landed with your friends, forcing you to solve puzzles and make the right choices in order to get out of there. You have to look very closely at the details, because the clues can be easy to miss. A variety of different puzzle types and a few scenes are visually stunning, yet not on the scale of Myst or Riven. In short, if you just want something fun and relaxing, you'll like The Dig.

Summary: Primative Fun
Review: In terms of what is out there these days, this game is pretty primative. The graphics are cartoony, and the gameplay is a bit mechanical and unimaginative. Still, somehow, this game does manage to rise above it's handicaps. The story is well written, and while the pacing isn't exactly cinematic, if you can keep up with video game conventions, you should still have a good time. While there's a strict "get this tiny thing in the left-hand corner" problem at times, but getting a bit of advice from the internet should keep you on track enough to finish what is a relatively satisfying story.
