Summary: Finally!
Review: I've been purchasing the Madden football games for years, from the Genesis days to the PlayStation. Needless to say, when they FINALLY ported it over to Mac, I pre-ordered it and waited impatiently. It's about time too! If you are a football fan at all, this game is a gem. The franchise mode is outstanding, letting you manage a team (or teams, if you get fired or switch) for multiple years, including rookie drafts, free agency, retirements, etc. The game is visually stunning, with smooth 3D graphics and easy-to-understand gameplay (I'd say a gamepad is a MUST for this one). I would give it 5 stars, but it was a little buggier than normal. Maybe 1 out of every 5-6 games I played, it would freeze up, both on my G3 laptop and my new G4. A patch came out that fixed a lot however. Sports fans cannot go wrong though if they pick up this one for the Mac.

Summary: Madden Scores Again!
Review: In Madden 99, Madden became football king. Now Madden 2000 is a football god. The 3-D graphics on this game are absolutly amazing. Gameplay is asome. Commentaryy is amazing and team and player selection, WOW! This game is great, but it is even beter if you have an iMac or iBook.

Summary: A Mac fan's only choice but a good one
Review: Lousy interface, which is a combination of space bar and return key to advance through several on screen menus. Still some bugs, too. And the game really requires more than 64 MB of RAM if you want to use 3D rendering. Overall, however, football fans will enjoy this game. All the details are here: the Xs and Os, juke and spin moves, animated reactions, player trades, updatable rosters, commentary by Madden and Summeral, individually rendered stadiums. The depth of the game makes the recent $30 price tag a good deal.

Summary: Madden NFL 2000 needs G3 w/Voodoo card
Review: The game plays great on fast machines, but anything shy of a hopped up G3 with a 12 meg Voodoo card and plenty of system RAM is not much fun. Bottom line: With the proper machine the game is a blast. Game tests with slower machines were painful at best.

Summary: Great bells and whistles, but game play is only fair
Review: This game has a lot of impressive features, but I have found it difficult to play the actual game so far. I love the stats it gives and the use of actual player names. The detail in this regard is amazing. I am also impressed with the graphics; the stadiums look very realistic, and the detail on the players is good too.

Unfortunately, I have a hard time controlling the players. The game moves at a very fast pace, and that doesn't leave a lot of time to feel like you're actually controlling what goes on. Hopefully, this won't be the case after playing the game for a few months. My other complaint is that the plays (while there are a lot of them!) are difficult to read; they are very small and almost blurry.

Although Madden 2000 beats it in graphics and stats, EA's NCAA 98 is a much better choice for reading and executing plays and controlling the movements of the players.

Summary: ... up game
Review: This game is really ... up!Don't get me wrong though it's a great football game but it always freezes in the middle of a play which is very frustrating.the graphics are jaged and fuzzy but there good enough to see what your doing.I love the gameplay which I give 5 stars, but it's not good enough to waste my time starting and restarting.
